Friday night had the set menu $55 pp. Food was excellent, Pinot Noir was excellent, service was ok, temperature was a bit on the chilly side, noise was buzzy enough without having to shout. Great value for money. Lovely local eaterie!
Bruno & Co is located on High Street in Armadale. The interior is beautiful, with some of the original stained glass windows & colourful artwork.
We started with coffees as we perused the menu. They had a few new dishes since I’d last visited so chose a few to share. As well as their brunch/lunch menu, they also have some great specials which change weekly.
The Coconut Chia was a gorgeous dish & we loved the presentation. The chia pudding was light & creamy & paired well with the crunch of the toasted coconut & macadamias. It was served with berry compote & fresh fruit & I could happily eat this dish everyday.
The Chicken Burger was absolutely delicious. Buttermilk fried chicken, jalapeño salsa, sriracha mayo, lettuce & tomato & super crunchy beer battered thick chips. The chicken was crispy on the outside & tender inside & we loved the kick of heat from the jalapeño salsa.
We also selected a pasta from the specials board, spaghetti with broccoli, broccoli purée, chilli & garlic. Such a simple but well balanced dish that was full of flavour. We washed it all down with some refreshing freshly squeezed juices.
The staff at Bruno & Co are friendly & attentive & seem to know their regular customers well. The menu covers all the bases as well as the weekly specials which keeps things interesting for those who dine there regularly. A great team who are passionate about what they do & genuinely care about their customers. Thanks so much for having us.

Things that tingled my Gooch:
-every pasta I have tried here rivals the top 3 pasta I have had in Melbourne and in Italy, trust the Gooch. Carbonara was majestic, the best I’ve had in the beautiful city you call Melbourne.

Things that left me scratching my Gooch:
- Nearly $30 for some flour, water, pancetta, egg, and Parmesan is like a free for all Sudanese home invasion
- Be aware armadale has some of the most uptight, self loving heinous humans going around. Expect to hear conversations on who has the best lip job and who’s Put on 700 grams after there trip to Noosa
Cheeky Gooch note:
- nice street to have a stroll, nice street to take DA MISSUS to scanlan
- outdoor seating available
