Hightail is a fantastic, thumping, pumping bar on the ground floor of Collins Square. It is a huge, attractive space popular with the 20 somethings. Hightail serves food too - the Hightail Grill is very popular - although Twosheds has only frequented for a glass of wine. The wine list is passable and efficient, while not being expansive. Hightail hosts events too - the Wednesday night trivia is a lot of fun. On Fridays, the whole of Collins Square flows into this place and it becomes a complete bun fight. Fun but beware!

Hightail Bar is one of the newest bars to hit the scene, located in the emerging Collins Square precinct. It combines the goodness of Belle’s Hot Fried Chicken, Super Taco, and Mr Burger in a ginormous venue and adds two wide bars for good measure. We were fortunate enough to attend a party hosted by the venue and will share the experience of sampling the food and drinks on offer.

From the creators of 'Welcome to Thornbury' comes Hightail Bar, a huge food court x bar that has 950 seats, with three restaurants and 16 beers poured from 64 taps. Open from lunch till past midnight, it's a great place to hang out if you work upstairs in one of the towers. There's even an app that lets you order food to your table.
Came here for drinks, the service was good and the setting was really nice. The bar area was spacious and not too busy. The best part is that there is not only heaps of drinks but also heaps of food from the surrounding retailers you can choose from.
Hightail is a bar inside Docklands office and retail development Collins Square. Fitting with the development which takes up an entire city block, Hightail is a large bar with space for 950 people, which aims to allow nearby office works to ‘escape’ their office surrounds for something more fun.
So quiet on a Saturday afternoon! I can't comment on the ambience, as there were only 10 of us here.
I guess it'll get really busy when football is on and more people learn about this place.
Massive venue. We downloaded the app that can be used to order food from Belle's, Mr Burger or Super-Taco - but didn't use it as there was not another soul eating.
It's going to be a great after work or post Etihad place to meet friends. Lots of different seating areas and 2 big bars, with great outdoor seating.
We'll be back with work mates soon.

Nice joint, I didn't try any food, I was only there for a drinks function but I loved the layout and the generous smoking section with a modest but intriguing view. I thought so at least. Good joint, will visit again if I can.
Very nice place to hangout. I come here with my colleagues often. Good indoor ambience and nice outdoor balcony area. Plenty of tables and chairs, sofas. Prices are usual for such type of outlets.
We booked last minute for 25 people, staff very accommodating. Even though they were short staffed and advised that meals would take longer, for a group of our size the meals came out quick, all together, fresh, delish, everyone happy. Great team at Hightail, thank you
Always great, fast & friendly service. Cocktails were brilliant; more ginger food on the menu would make this place killer! (Polenta doesn't count as finger food in my humble opinion 😜)
Quite a nice place to go for an after work party. The food is good, the drinks are great. The overall ambience is very relaxed. As far as I can remember, the music doesn't get really loud. This place can be a bit tricky for a large gathering (60-70 people), unless fully booked by you!
A fantastic venue with fantastic service and great staff. The trivia run at the venue by Funky Bunch is terrific too. Will definitely be returning to this fantastic place soon.
