Large portion sizes and pretty tasty. The bad rating is a bit harsh and undeserving, based on my personal experience. It’s a nice place for a casual meal.

How could I not go and dine at a place called the Noodle Kingdom? I love noodles more than rice so had to come here for lunch one day. Tried the bao skins and they were delicious with a blend of lovely Asian flavours. So enjoyed the dumplings. I did watch the woman in the window making and mixing up a variety of dishes but felt self-conscious watching her. Overall though, this place is one of many in a street that is abundant in Asian restaurants. We are fortunate to have an abundance of great food and the competition is tough. I'd regard this place as a good quick meal but not a culinary treat. You can dine in or take away. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller accessible.
A little surprised at the below average rating. Noodle soup dish was hearty, oversized and satisfying, if a little oily. Boiled dumplings also tasty, but skins a little thick. Service was quick. This was a favourite place of mine many years ago, before they changed their name, then changed it back. Sometimes I’m still confused if it is still the same old Noodle Kingdom. I hope it is, because all the handmade noodles of the past were exceptional. Now that they are “back” I think customers still believe they operate under the old name. With time, hopefully Noodle Kingdom regains its once treasured reputation
First time here and the service and food quiet good and fast. The noodle were thick and juicy nice spice level. Definitely be back highly recommend.
Great Fried Pork Dumplings and Steamed Chicken & Prawn Dumplings along with the Chilli Chicken Noodle Soup. Very polite and friendly staff and absolute value for money!!
Staff is very warm.. Food is good, not out of the world but good.. as the name says noodle kitchen I recommend one must try noodles here!! Overall 4/5 experience

Noodle kingdom is the new name for Mr Kwok so it took us a while to find it. Food portions for the noodle soups were huge, I don’t think many people can finish it and considering the price it was very good value for money. We ordered vegetarian dumplings, pan-fried dumplings vegetarian buns, vegetarian noodle soup, vegetarian goose (don’t really recommend as it tasted like fried flour). All the dumplings were good but it had the same filing which was disappointing. It would have been nice if the filling were different. Service was very attentive & friendly.
Been aware of the joint for ages but first time the opportunity to go arose tonight. Had the chicken and nut dish with spinach and tofu plus the soup dumplings. Everything was delicious. I understand people complaining about wait times but if they're pulling the noodles fresh to order? C'mon mate. Would go again happily. Very reasonably priced, too.
Dropped in for dinner on a week night and was pleasantly surprised.
We ordered the spring onion pancake (it was deliciously crispy), French beans with chilli and garlic and the braised stick pork hock.
The pork hock was huge, definitely good value for money - it was lucky we were famished otherwise we definitely would have over ordered!
Service was good and they were quick to get us drinks and clear empty plates.
I was surprised it wasn't busier, seeing it was Tuesday night in the CBD but then they're open until 3.30am so maybe peak time is later or earlier..?! We also really appreciated their love song dedications style playlist - Richard Mercer would have been proud!
Would definitely recommend if you're in the area and interested in somewhere a little more sophisticated than the usual dumpling houses nearby.
Decided to try something different this evening so we popped in here. Never really noticed the place because the door is set back from the street.
It's slightly different from the usual Chinese dumpling/noodle shop as it has a bit of a bar going on and a more upmarket feel to it (including prices).
Food was not bad actually. Had the vegetarian stir fried noodles and hubby had the hot & sour noodle soup. However, they took a long time to arrive even though the place wasn't particularly busy.
Might come back but not if we want something quick.

Love the noodle and rice dishes . Perfect quantity, reasonably priced and very yummy food. Clean and we'll maintained too.
The restaurant has been redecorated and is really a decent place to eat. Food is pretty good especially the signature noodle. This is the place I would recommend.
Best wonton noodle soup!!! We heard about this place about a year ago, today was a perfect soup day in chilly Melbourne. The flavours of that soup with a bit of chili was divine!
Good vibe. They are generous with the food portion and it taste really delicious too.
