When I first got here they made a number of mistakes, but the way the manger handled it was excellent. Customer service is everything..

Kartel is a solid performer in the Little Collins Cafe culture. A good range of sandwiches and hot food, however variety is an issue. They need to change it up every week. Also it's getting a bit expensive. I usually like the salads, but sometimes you get more and other times you get less - depending on who is serving you.
Kartel has some great fresh food however this is the second time I have been in this week and Jay was so rude I will never return to this cafe again although I work in the area. I asked for a vegetarian quiche and once I started eating it I noticed meat I approached Jay who was making coffee to let him know. His response was " what do you want me to do about it" this was so rude.

Kartel Express has the best coffee and friendly service everyday. With such a variety on offer I never have to have the same thing twice.

Good coffee, good food - everything a 500 Collins office worker could want. Their sandwiches are tasty, and with high quality ingredients, and their coffee, made with Vittoria's darkest is consistently good when made by Jerome or the old man.

The food at this Cafe is awesome and really well priced. Hidden away so always plenty of seats. If you like good clean food I highly recommend it.
I have been using Kartel for catering for years, as well as being a past customer (I no longer work in the area although I wish I did!). Their food is amazing. Always fresh, always tasty, always amazingly thought out and planned. My CEO Group love their food and they are super fussy. They really are some of the best caterers Melbourne has. As a side note, their salads are to die for! Don't scrimp, Viv and her team are your go to for corporate catering.

Had a lunch last week at Kartel. It is a good place to meet your buddies and have delicious food. The meals are reasonably priced and coffee is good too. This place has a vibe of positive energy and most staff are friendly, except the one who didn't seem happy when I was taking pictures. :o)
This is my go-to for lunch in the city - the food is delicious, service impeccable and when you struggle to get your lunchtime favourite item by 1:00 pm you know you are on to a good thing. I definitely recommend going early - 12:00 pm is ideal and you must try the sandwiches. I miss going here now I am not in the CBD so often. @ladylongtail
