Incredible views with food that delights all palates! We had a fantastic birthday dinner at Sassone! The food was authentic Italian cuisine with fresh made pasta & sauces. The views of Docklands makes it an incredible place to take out of towners or a date. A highly enjoyable dining experience & great staff to boot! We will be back!

+4.5
Having lunched in Ballarat I returned to Melbourne looking for a nice dessert so I popped into Sassone & ordered their Crème Brûlée for $13 and I found it to be refreshingly cold, the custard was great and the crust was thin and crunchy. Service provision by Angie (the Owner/Manager's wife) & her strongly accented Italian young waitress was exceptionally friendly & efficient. The background music was at a suitable level to be heard over easily. This eatery has a great ambience with a modern, bright and cheery décor.
The Juror's Verdict: Food 4.75/5, Service Provision 5/5, Will I return: Yes definitely for a main course next visit

Came here for lunch with a mate. We had a half a metre pizza which was very tasty and deep fried mozzarella balls. Service was very good, would definitely come back here!
Excellent coffee and beautiful service, the people there are just lovely and really cater to what you want! I'm looking forward to trying the different pizzas on the menu! I've heard great reviews!
The service is just lovely and very welcoming. We have visited twice now and enjoyed our meals on each occasion. The pricing is a little high for the type of restaurant that it is, and probably the only reason we would not make it our 'local'. I asked for steak done medium and that is what I received. Perfectly done.
Beautiful italian food enjoyed at a beautiful location on the water at the Docklands. Everything we ordered was amazing and good quality. The staff were very friendly and attentive, we will deffinately be back!
What I liked about this place was the recommendation from a friend for the sfingli. The waiters transport you to modern Italy and there is an atmosphere of frivolous luxury and decadent long lunches. My friend and I enjoyed the pizza, sfingli, Campari champagne Spritz and tea. It's a lovely place along Yarras edge with boats bobbing in the water. Plenty of bicycle parking or walking tracks.
