Peak winter may not be the best season to get the most out of a rooftop bar experience but I think this is a much needed and welcomed addition to the area. The drinks were interesting with some classics and a few with a more unique spin on them. I would very much like to come back in summer as the space is inviting, the drinks are nice and the views good!
Came here for lunch with my Grandma on a sunny day last week. We shared the straciatella with pickled zucchini, veal cotoletta with Italian slaw (to die for) and a sneaky side of fries. Unmatched views of the city that you wouldn't get in at a CBD rooftop bar. Can also see out to the Dandenong ranges, amazing considering it's only 2 storeys high!
Went to Johnny's Green Room on the roof. It's super spacious and well set out - plenty of tables and seats of different sizes. Sampled three different drinks from the drinks menu and liked all of them. The staff were friendly and the view is really lovely. Will definitely be back!

A great place to go after dinner on Lygon st. Catch the lift or the stairs to the rooftop and enjoy great views looking back to the city. Be aware, this is Melbourne and if the wind is coming from the South it can be cool so bring a jacket. There was a great vibe with people enjoying cocktails and beers at the bar or at one of the many tables. The wine list could be improved as there is a limited selection. The service was friendly although over run with cocktail orders. We didn’t eat however the pizzas looked good. A definite place to visit if you are local or visiting.
Johnny's Green Room is a cool, casual hangout which is located on the rooftop of King & Godfree. The views of the city are great and the vibe of Lygon street spills upstairs too. Great place to get some sun, relax, catchup with friends over some cold beverages. Food here is ok, but you're not coming here for the food. Cocktails and drinks here are done well, their Lemonchello is top notch!
Had so much fun at this little joint in the middle of everything ! This little joint in Carlton normally has loads of seats, unobstructed views of the city and great little bar snacks !

Excellent views, great atmosphere, friendly service (the kind of place to give a free beer if they muck up an order) and nice food.
Favourite place for after work drinks on a Friday jn south Melbourne.
Came here for lunch, appreciate them letting us bring food up in takeaway boxes from downstairs. When I was here, a rainbow stretched across the sky which left us with a view of Melbourne which was truly hard to beat. The songs were apt and enhanced the mellow vibe the place has to offer. If you’re on Lygon and confused among all the bars then definitely go for this one.
