Purple Cafe & Bar - Melbourne - Photo album

Food is decent but chips are far too salty . Regularly takes 40 minutes for one lunch meal. Not ideal for a place that will cater to workers on their lunch break.
I came here around 3 years prior and the vibe was altogether different. Under staffed toward the beginning of the day. Poor young lady needs to care for both side. Went there with my family. Our children cherished the pasta and fish n chips.Porterhouse meat was the absolute best. Cesar plate of mixe
Elena (barista) is an absolute sweetheart and is always super onto it! One of the few cafes I regularly visit when on St Kilda Rd.
I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I wouldn't choose to eat here. I had low expectations and was still disappointed. The food quality and presentation is somewhere around hospital standard. The whiting and chips were tasteless, my sister's steak and mash looked like something you'd serve at home.
Love our dinner at Purple! Went there with my family. Our kids loved the pasta and fish n chips.Porterhouse beef was the very best. Cesar salad was fresh, perfectly dressed with creamy dressing making it a perfect meal.
Under staffed in the morning. Poor girl has to look after both side. Pl are waiting and the chef is rude.
Great, lively service (and absolutely outstanding hot chocolate) makes Purple stand out from many of the other cafés on St. Kilda road. A must-have for breakfast is their $6 deal for a coffee and sandwich. Doesn't disappoint!
I'm looking at the other reviews and sad to say its true, the place is very understaffed. The manager (i think? man in the suit) also wears a scowl and isn't friendly. I came here about 3 years ago and the vibe was very different.
