one of the best hotpot experiences iv had!!
the broth is so rich and full of flavour! there is no need for dipping sauce because the broth is THAT good!
i highly recommend their Spicy and Sour broth! (dont worry you can choose the heat level)
the beef set is definitely worth every bit! really good quality meats n cuts im amazed how good it was and all as their standard meats too!
super spacious spot with both down and upstairs available! they can facilitate for small and large groups!
definitely recommend trying these guys out! worth!
Hands down my favourite ever hot pot place! It's a 40 minute drive each way for me but 100% well worth the trip every time!
Bonus points for being halal because now I can take all my Muslim mates here and show them the delicious world of hot pot!
Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone especially the Muslim community in Melbourne - you will not regret it!
Can't get enough of Happy Lamb. I went twice in the space of 1 week. The unique taste of the traditional broth is second to none. The premium wagyu and seafood platter enhanced the taste even further. Highly recommended!
The food and the service was great but I wasn't happy with online menu set up. After you scan the QR code you have to create an account either by using your email, Google, or Facebook account. It shouldn't be mandatory to create account. I wasn't happy with creating an account however the staff respected that and provided a paper menu. It has multiple floors and separated sections for big groups. I would definitely recommend!
The best hotpot in Melbourne and it’s halal too. The double soup selection is great and tasty. The lamb selection is good, and there’s other varieties of protein. The service was really fast and good. We will definitely be back again to try other stuff on the menu!
@happylambmelbourne is the perfect restaurant for those who don’t eat pork or beef. Because @happylambmelbourne is where you will find an all lamb only hotpot besides very handful of beef options. We also kept our hotpot spread to lamb only and some seafood and greens.
We opted for the zero spicy yet the most flavourful and peaceful hotpot soup base ever, that is the traditional bone broth. Made of beef and chicken bone for over 6 hours with lots of lovely herbal spices and chestnut, to give that calming feel to it.
We chose the Premium Fresh Shredded Lamb slices, Happy Lamb Signature slices and we got to witness how in the kitchen they make these slices to a perfection. The quality of the lamb is supreme, that is very evident from it’s melt-in-the-mouth and oh-so-tender feel inside the mouth.
We also had Fresh Handmade Cuttlefish, Fresh handmade Lamb meatballs, vegetable tray, fish tofu and handmade fresh noodles. Everything tasted simply amazing and yum. Especially the meatballs and the cuttlefish. Strongly recommended.
We also had grilled lamb ribs, simply divine and so juicy and feels like they have used the best quality of lamb to prepare this. Must try.
And their homemade fresh plum juice is also another must try in this restaurant. Such a refreshing and beautiful drink compliments well with the hotpot.
I’d definitely visit again to try their lamb hotpot since it’s so unique yet so fantastic and a tasty experience overall. The service is super duper fast, and the team of staff are such helpful, kind and polite people. The best part, their hotpot price is very standard and affordable. They also have set hotpot for 2/4 people which is again very reasonable as well.
Although it’s super hot now, but you in know Melbourne, it can get so cold in a blink of an eye, and then you’ll crave for some hotpot. So do checkout @happylambmelbourne the newly opened lamb exclusive hotpot in the heart of Melbourne CBD.
This was my first experience with hotpot - the soup was delicious and extremely flavourful with hints of star ansie and black cardammon, which the receptive staff regularly top up. The ingredients are ordered separately but arrive extremely promptly. I would highly recommend the lamb balls and hand pulled noodles.
Also of importance is that this is one of very few halal hot pot options. The only true downside is that it can get quite pricey, in a group of 5 we split approximately $45 each.
Regardless, the food was good, service was fast, and it was located very close to Parliament station (a 5 minute walk).
Solid hotpot experience though service was a little slow.
Came here with a group of 10 and we left feeling satisfied.
Sichuan flavour was fantastic but also they served halal.
