Coming to Woodside is like visiting an old friend. The place as this warm, inviting and comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to nestle into a corner with a good book or podcast and drink coffee and snack on toasted sandwiches.
Today I came for brunch and had the Rueben with a Pickle and was fresh, tasty and actually very filling. That, along with a latte that had the most amusing coffee art all made for a nice quick brunch as I keep busy moving around Melbourne.Β
Thank you to the staff who were so lovely as I tried to decide what to eat and helped me out with a recommendation.
Notes: this place gets busy so come early for those prime dining times, dietaries catered for, suitable for vegetarians, cafe is wheelchair friendly although it's a little tight inside, kid friendly, takeaway available and the parking is reasonable in Cardigan Street.

Ordered the Roast Beef and Salad plate, very rarely do I order Roast Beef in a cafe as most of the time it is crap, this was quite tasty and reasonably priced
The staff do their job, one lady was very helpful
The staff "joked^ around with some of the customers which I personally like, will return
Cosy, friendly vibe that never fails to make me feel at home in the heart of a bustling city. Top notch latte art also (if you ask nicely;)) I took my Granny here when she came to visit and she still hasnβt stopped raving about it. If that isnβt gonna convince you I donβt know what will.
Great sandwiches (tried the chicken and falafel) and friendly service despite being busy in a cute corner cafe! Will definitely be coming back.
I don't usually write reviews, but I had to make an exception for Woodside Green. Friendly, fast service, great food, characterful building and great atmosphere. Coffee was fantastic and scrambled eggs particularly fluffy :) thanks guys

Woodside Green is a small cozy cafe in Carlton. I had walked by but never really discovered it until now. Here they are run by the Irish and have so many photos and things up there. Here they were really busy at 11am when I arrived with my friend. My friend paid for me and we shared a banana cake and he took back his coffees. He had an 11:30am appointment to be at. We also got coffees for other people. And other friends came by to get their coffees.They do stellar coffees but for some reason my mocha tasted more like a latte. I did however like the artwork presented. There was just a little bit of chocolate on top.
Ticks all the boxes. Good coffee, affordability, ambience, tasty food and friendly service. The latter is particularly noteworthy for Woodside Green. They are peerless in this quiet little section of Carlton.
I came here for a coffee. Fast friendly service and the coffee was pretty spot on. The menu looks pretty simple but the place was pretty busy. Looks like quite a few people's local. Nice interior space with character.
I drove past, saw a long queue in front of the Cafe so decided to check it out on the way back, an hour later. The queue had not diminished!
Of course not, when they serve rich, creamy Italian style latte, now I know!
Being at RMIT for a short course I decided to come here for some food on my break. I got a latte and a tuna melt and I think it's safe to say it's one of the best I've had in Melbourne. Price was fair and staff were super friendly. Would strongly recommend you visit
this is the best cafe i have ever been to. the staff are so friendly and helpful, they always smile and are punctual with a correct order and always go above and beyond... i hope all the workers have the happiest life.

Beautiful Brekky rolls and coffee , cozy during winter and a good place to catch up with a mate or read the paper. Staff are great especially the barista that looks like Jeremy Howe that plays for Collingwood.
