Didn’t feel like a stressful breakfast at The Westin. Just don’t like the vibe of hotel breakfasts and putting up with other people’s ways this early in the morning.
Sunday morning in Melbourne CBD is like a ghost town. Finding a quick breakfast and coffee is not as easy as a week day.
Choice for food is very limited here though involving choice of two croissants and a sandwich. Coffee was pretty decent.
What impressed me was the use of sound proofing as a feature giving the space a minimalistic look.
Take note establishments of SYDNEY sound proofing does exist and people like to talk and not be forced to shout!
Visit this place many time. A petite coffee bar in the city, coffee focus, offers pastries, great place for quick coffee break. Nice service, the staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Had many nice experience here.
Nice little cozy cafe with few seats. Ordered cold brew single origin. It has a nice cacao taste, not too acidic and very light. Really refreshing for hot weather.
Nothing short of exceptional, but be warned, this place is for coffee, NOTHING else, but if you are a coffee fiend this is a sure bet for guaranteed excellence in Melbourne coffee practices.
It is also stylishly designed with the new modbar under counter machines which are just sexy as espresso pulling gets.
Only downer is they don't take cash, c'mon guys what happens when that unbanked melbite wonders in with his gold coins in a little string tie satchel, I often don't carry a card and it was fortunate my partner was with me.
We were really looking forward to trying the coffee at Industry Beans after hearing so many good things about it. They certainly did not disappoint.
We had a cappuccino and a Bubble Cup original. The cappuccino was full of roasted coffee flavour and the milky froth on top was delicious. I wasn't a fan of their sago in the Bubble Cup but the drink itself was sweet and satisfying. I still prefer the good old black pearls.
This is an excellent place to get a reliable good drink on the go.

Industry Beans Lt. is one of my favourite coffee stops. I like trying out coffee's from different cafes and speciality stores. They have really cool and simplistic interiors. I admire the fact that they dont take cash. ive physical receipts, every little bit counts and makes a difference. Note that they don't take cash which shouldn't be a big issue as we live in a world of smartphones.
I generally get their cold brew which tastes delicious. Their protein balls and Almond croissant is a must to try. Quick and friendly service.
Delicious and smooth coffee in bright white cafe on Little Collins street. You cannot miss this place as it stands out amongst the darker corners of Little Collins. Perfect spot to sit and people watch!
I came here as part of the Ritual promotion and paid $1 for a gluten-free peanut butter brownie which is normally $5. I was super impressed with it. It's got the same texture and consistency as a non gluten-free brownie and the portion is bigger than what you get at other places. For this price, it's an absolute bargain. It's a truly delicious brownie that was moist and not too sweet. Definitely recommend. I took away the brownie but the place looks bright, sleek and clean.
P.S I cut the brownie in half then realised I didn't take a picture!
By the way, if you're not on the Ritual app yet, you can redeem meals for $1 each until 28th June and you get $10 credit if you use my code CHERYL50296. You're welcome!
I chose to come to this cute little cafe after reading some of the reviews here and also because of the $5 welcome gift on their app. The staff was really friendly. I tried their original bubble cup and almond croissant. There's a small area to eat, but most people take away. The bubble cup is interesting, with small tapioca. The paper straw makes it a bit hard to suck them up. I think I'll bring my reusable straw next time. The ice coffee is not overly sweet like most bubble tea, which is good.
A lovely futuristic cafe with a modern white setup. I love trying coffee in different places in Melbourne and this was definitely one high up on my list. Will definitely return again.

Overall score: 19/25 or ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
in 5 words: they take their coffee seriously!
*
Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- i always order a skinny flat white so if that is not your preferred drug, this may not apply. Good coffee after taste, very yummy milk, they managed to balance the caffeine and milk well (a flat white always has the risk of tasting too milky. Only good cafes preserves coffee flavour and intensity in spite of the milk composition! YUMMY
*
Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- the coffee stop maintains an almost all white design, not many seats available. Not a lot of food selection but you can takeaway a croissant/pastries
*
Presentation⭐️⭐️⭐️ - can’t comment on presentation cos coffee is in the cup.
*
Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- a regular coffee costs you $4.50 which isn’t the cheapest. BUT if you download their industry beans app, your first coffee is free! Plus, you get to collect points. I love the convenience and how they levelled up the customer experience through the option of ordering ahead of time.
*
Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- i got my coffee in almost record time, barista remembers my name (always a plus point when people in the service industry do that!)
Ordered a cap and a Fitzroy Iced Coffee. Cap was just fine (too much bubbles, not smooth enough), but the Fitzroy nailed it! Fresh, with very mild taste...feeling like a breeze after an afternoon workout.
Had a very nice coffee on my way into work. Staff were a bit abrupt but otherwise friendly. If you haven't been, check out their interesting setup of individual shot stations rather than one large machine. This place has obviously got their system down to an exact science and it works for them.
This location is very easy to find just off Elizabeth street. It’s rather small but very clean. It doesn’t offer much seating but it doesn’t feel suffocating and cramped. We tried their on tap cold brew (both the regular w/ milk and the other in their bubble cup version) and both were extremely delicious and unlike other cold brews. Their bubble cup drink is sweeter and has an obvious texture from the consoy tapioca pearls and it’s very refreshing on a hot day where you’d still like to enjoy some coffee. They have an app with a free $5 credit for new users which you can use to order ahead if you’re on a time crunch! I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quick pick me up ANY time of the day (within operating hours of course!)
Good spacious place with nice ambience, Industry Beans offers you good brunch menu with amazing coffee.
Food presentation is beautiful with delicious taste.
Overall dining experience was okay, although the staff could be more friendly though :/

My go to place for my coffee hit at mid-morning and it sure hits the spot. App is easy to use. Quick friendly service ... just hope the customers get the cards out earlier before payment to speed up the process!

Hands down one of the best coffees I have had in Melbourne. Perfectly, smooth and strong and simply amazing!
Also love the beauty of Industry Beans. A very pretty place for coffee!
It is actually a nice small space to have a coffee break. The coffee is nice and I also like the croissant. Staffs are friendly and it‘s never get too packed, so I like to chill and enjoy my break there.
No real brunch items here, just a caffeinated beverage stop with nibbles. You can also get a bubble cup which is their take on bubble tea. It's cold brew mixed with condensed milk as a sweetener, soy milk and coffee soaked tapioca pearls.
You have to give it a good mix which was difficult with the paper straw which broke due to the sharp plastic lid opening, they need an open lid (I've seen a different lid on different articles). Initially I got a lot of sweetness due to it not being mixed well but I really enjoyed the fruitiness of the blend and it was quite refreshing. Thankfully it wasn't overly sweet and didn't mask the coffee's characteristics (I probably sucked up all the condensed milk at the start). The tapioca pearls is not comparable to actual bubble tea pearls, they are small and soft (not in a bad way) rather than large and bouncy.
Worth a try? Yes.
Worth the price? Pushing it.
Bubble tea or Bubble cup? They're different, but bubble tea.
I'd come back for their cold brew however, that stuff is great.
Very minimalistic place. Staff was friendly and service was fast. Ordered a black coffee that was slightly sour, but had a nice light fruity taste. BTW they only accept card payments, but that's perfectly all right for me.
I love their coffee here. The flat white is good, non bitter but still have the coffee flavor and no sugar required. I do not like their bubble tea though.
Best coffee in the CBD!
Consistently good coffee and very friendly staff. Cold brew coffee was delicious on a hot day, also had the Fitzroy Iced with almond milk which was great.
Visit this cafe last Tuesday and the service from this friendly (& good looking) team was perfect!
Coffee was also amazing! Must try the food there next time, the vegan protein balls looked yummy!
I wanted to try the iced coffee with tapioca pearls. Kind of like bubble tea but hipster. To be fair, its only marginally more costly than a bubble tea but you get good coffee/caffiene fix, and some tasty pearls. Would be great on a hot day.

I am a big fan of their cold brew bubble cup. Today, I got to try the salted caramel bubble cup, which I ordered in advance through their app. I think it was pretty good, something to change it up. It feels like a westernised version of Asian bubble tea (which I love).
Their coffee has been consistently good so that's another plus!
Very nice designed cafe. Simple but fashion. I am in love with the coffee machine as my job is a barista as well. It looks beautiful. A lot of different options of coffee. Also many beans different that you can choose to buy. I had a cold drip, it was nice and strong flavour. Waitress is friendly. Will be back for coffee for sure.
I don’t even like coffee, but I find myself going here every week! Why?! For the gluten free peanut butter & chocolate brownie! Seriously the best dam thing on this planet 🤤🤤🤤 The staff are always super friendly too!
Came here few times with my mom when she was in Melbourne. Lovely place and staff. Always pool of people order here, tbh I really love their latte and flat white. My Top5 in Melbourne for sure hahah.
Amazing coffees. Service is great and the interior is clean and modern. The bubblecup is cold dripped coffee with tapioca balls which melt in the mouth. Coffee is smoothe and well made.
Came down to see this awesome set up and I was really impressed! My coffee had some really nice notes to it and what made this a pretty good experience was a hi and bye! Not many places nail both
Ventured down after reading about it from social media. First impressions is the interior design is wow. White walls with soft toned timber benches that gives you the feeling of cleanliness and contemp.
Ordered the bubble cup straight off, cold drip, vanilla consoy and tapioca pearls. The eftpos machine needs a kick in the bum to speed things up especially when it does get busy guys. I noticed there's sparkling water for free much like the upmarket expresso bars whilst everyone was busy taking photos.
Verdict, cold drip strength dose is on point, just right with the vanilla consoy and interesting pearls much like sago. Though I think a plastic straw will be better as the paper straw digs into the plastic lid later on. Great invention guys.
Looking forward to trying a proper hot flat white next time, it seemed pretty inviting from what i saw.
As of today, a quality of roast coffee beans from the Industry Beans is one of the best in Australia.
Swing by this city store located in Lt. Collins street every morning is a joy of opening the new day in Melbourne CBD.
Staffs are very professional, welcoming and friendly. Nothing to add for roasted coffees in this store as I believe this is the top quality.
The taste is full of aromatic, smooth, and tempting flavor.
Recommended!
Tried a few places while in Melbourne and this store definitely had one of the best tasting coffees around. The store has a lovely atmosphere, cool minimalistic aesthetic and friendly staff. Would recommend the "Fitzroy Iced".
Nice professional coffee I got, coffee is sour and strong and fully feeling full taste of body once breaking crema for the first sip.
My absolute favourite place to buy coffee beans from. Not only is shipping always so quick, they’re coffee is of the highest quality. I recently ordered their new Fitzroy Iced Coffee to try it and it tastes wonderful!! Will definitely be restocking when I run out.
Will continue to purchase from Industry Beans for years to come. They’re the absolute best.
Famous coffee brand in Melbourne. Must visit. I loved their long black. Strong and tasty. not bitter at all. The staff are amazing. Specifically the barista guy. He was very welcoming and friendly.
Nice and clean interior. I found the regular coffee pretty good but do not bother with bubble cup it's not worth it.
Update Dec 2021:
Coffee was good and the staff are friendly. I would happily have coffee here if I was in this part of the city. Check out the updated pics!
Ok coffee and great interior fitout... It looks very promising so I might check it out later to see if the coffee is any better the second time...
Second visit and the coffee was a smidge better so I chucked on another star. I reckon it can still be better though 😉
