Ordered the ever so famous Lemon Curd Pancakes ($19.50) & it was ABSOLUTELY sensational! It was the perfect blend of sweet & sour, & each bite was full of flavourš¤¤ Also, the pancakes were fluffy & soft, which made it really enjoyable to eat!
I ordered a Matcha Latte too (not pictured) but unfortunately it was slightly tasteless to my liking. Nevertheless, i still had an enjoyable experience here. 10/10 would recommend comingš„°

The vibes are on point, coffee is excellent and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. all of the food that Iāve eaten is very delicious too! On my most recent visit I tried the boba French toast which was sensational and so unique! The lemon curd pancakes And Benny are also fantastic šÆšÆš„°š„°

Barlog is a cafe located in Docklands, Melbourne offering breakfast, desserts, and coffee from Inglewood Coffee Roasters. It has ample seating inside the cafe and at the back. Pram friendly and high chairs available.
I chose this cafe for breakfast as it was within minutes of our accommodation and reviews were positive.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. We chose to sit at the back but probably it would have been nicer to sit inside as it was concrete seating that was a bit too low for my liking as it was hard to get up and out of my seat. It was also a bit dark and cold.
We decided to order for drinks the Pink Lemonade and Green Power Smoothie. To eat, we ordered the Full Send, Pork Belly, and Miso Curried eggs.
The kids attacked the Pink Lemonade for the fairy floss, they loved it. The drink itself was nice, very refreshing but I would have loved it to have a bit more lemon flavour. The Green Power Smoothie was nice. It was a blend of spinach, avocado, chia seeds, banana, almond milk, and apple juice.
The food didn't take long to arrive and they were presented very nicely. Appealing to the eyes. The Pork Belly was disappointing as the skin was not crispy whatsoever. I ordered the pork belly with the assumption of a good crackling. The meat however, was tender and moist. The dish came with chilli, coriander, mixed salad, sesame seeds, and a side of sticky spicy caramel sauce. The salad was fresh and light. The caramel sauce was slightly spicy. I did not really like the sauce as it was a bit too sweet. I personally felt that it was not necessary as the sauce underneath the pork was much nicer and more suited. It had a nice balance of salty, spicy, and sweet. I would have liked more of this sauce.
The Miso Curried eggs was not what I expected. It was a cold dish with soba noodles, endamame beans, cabbage, seaweed, carrot, green leaves, sesame dressing, wasabi mayo, chilli, and coriander. All of the ingredients were fresh and cooked well. The eggs had a nice hint of miso. I would have preferred the eggs warm. The dressing was nice and the carrots, cabbage, and edamame beans gave it a nice texture.
The Full Send was a like a big breakfast. It came with bacon, choice of style of egg (we chose scrambled), grilled tomato, rosti, spinach, chorizo, and mushrooms. The eggs were soft and well cooked. The chorizo were nice and cooked well. It was not dry. The bacon was cooked nicely. The spinach was nice. The mushrooms were marinated nicely. The rosti was crispy and had nice flavours. We didn't try the tomato as we both don't like grilled tomato.
Verdict: If the skin of the pork belly was crispy, definitely worth a try. The Full Send was also nice. We also enjoyed the Pink Lemonade. Nice place for good cafe food.

Food: we ordered one savoury and one sweet dish,
scrambled sweet chilli egg on top of sourdough bread: this had a nice little kick and the eggs were fluffy. Iāve had one too many chilli scrambled eggs and this was nice to have where it wasnāt too hot to be eating.
lemon raspberry pancakes: the softness of the pancake and a mix of lemon was very delicious! I love the sweet and sourness of this whole sweet dish. Itās very balance and the flavour really compliment each other. Would definitely have this again!
Service: staff welcomed us and told us to sit anywhere we please. We had a few questions and they were more than happy to answer them ensuring we know what to order and such.
overall, Barlog is definitely a nice brunch place to go to. As itās near the Docklands area, I like the ambience of it all. I would recommend šš¼

AN AWESOME PLACE FOR WEEKEND BRUNCH!
Came here on a Saturday morning and immediately fell in love with the interiors and vibes of the venue. With its large and open light space, with plenty pink around, this is a place you want to spend your time drinking coffee and reading the newspaper.
The menu was impressive, with a good offering of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options! Came here with a friend who has Coeliac Disease and ordered the gluten free pork belly. Staff was very understanding and accommodating when my friend requested for the kitchen to be extra careful to avoid cross contaimation. We also ordered the Stick Bread French Toast. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and presentation was on point.
We cannot wait to return here to try other dishes on the menu. Staff were attentive with excellent customer service.
Really nice visiting here. The staff were very nice, friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and worth the wait. They have vegetarian options as well. And pricing was pretty cheap and worth it. Had an amazing experience!!
I canāt really describe my feeling after brunchin Barlog!
I was happy they a butterfly pea tea, Say Chilli with scrambled eggs? Legit! It was really. My favourite is the prawn croissant with a delectable taste and flavour. And I finished our meal with a matcha granola as for my dessert. The serving is perfect and price is reasonable.
The team behind the hugely successful Fledgling Espresso in Carlton have embarked on a new project, Barlog Espresso nestled in the high rises of Docklands ā featuring another STELLAR french toast, whilst not compromising the quality of all the other dishes on their menu. Definitely an inner city brunch cafe worth checking out!
