So yummy! I've only gotten take-out from here a couple of times, but both dishes I had were really good. Both Beef vindaloo & Tandoori chicken are stealing taste. There's a huge parking lot for all the shops in the area right next to the place, so plenty of parking. I personally recommend it over Stop by if you're in the area! Melbourne has slowly been gaining a reputation as a bastion of food innovation and destination. And I don't doubt that for a bit.I must say it's quite an experience. This so-called food revolution happening in the Carlton has seen many of the country’s best new restaurants sprouting like mushrooms in this area. And for those of you searching for a culinary Indian experience like no other, look no further than BALTI INDIAN CAFE.

The other reviewers don't know what they are talking about. The Rogan Josh and Lamb Vindaloo were genius. The tastiest dishes ever. The service was good too. Atmosphere could be a little better - they just played a full Bollywood movie in the background when they maybe should have just had music - but the food was magnificent. This restaurant wins awards and its not hard to see why.

I ordered stir fried kebab, lamb biriyani and beef curry. Very spicy and delicious. Great customer service. When ordering biriyani, make sure you ask for raita. That is how spicy the biriyani is.
