Previously located in Flemington and known as Oz Kebabs, it was a popular haunt for those after a late night snack or in need of a hangover cure. I have found myself there in the wee hours of the morning, gorging on a most delicious and juicy kebab and enjoying the antics of the owner.
Fast forward to now, and Oz Kebabs has moved to Fitzroy North, and is known as Os Kebabs. Management has changed but everything else remains the same. The mixed kebab that I have always loved is still just as delicious. Tender and moist, with generous amounts of veggies and sauce. The thin pita bread is lightly toasted, providing the perfect crunch to balance out the luscious fillings inside.
They now also serve Adana kebabs, which I have never tried before but after this experience, I'm sure I will be ordering more of this. The lamb adana possessed a bold smoky taste, and was incredibly meaty and succulent. In comparison to the crispy pita of the normal kebab, the bread used for the adana was soft and fluffy. A bit thick for my liking but yummy nonetheless.
The guy who served me shared the sense of humour and warmth of the previous owner, cracking jokes and delivering excellent service. It's always nice to revisit an old favourite and discovering that it's just as I remembered.
Delicious kebabs! Adana kebab was my favorite. Gentlemen working there we’re very friendly. Perfect for a late night feed. Will be back for more.
Currently the best Adana in Melbourne, absolutely brilliant, cooked over charcoal with Smokey flavour, the onion mix added is the perfect touch, not your typical huge and chunky kebab, so impressed I’ve had three this week, keep up the good work
Haven't had a bad experience here, unusual but never bad.
Not only are they almost always open when you want, they're fresh, quick, and actually always catch me out with a trick.
Friendliest kebab place I've ever been to
This place is a gem. Very under-rated for such a great eatery. Nothing glamorous but the kebabs & snack packs are out of the world. Best place to go for supper, generous servings and extremely friendly staff members.
Would have to be the best kebabs I've ever had! Generous serving, great service and the owner even prepared a small container full of kebab meat for my dog as we sat and ate outside. 10/10
Great kebabs, generous servings, and the owner is a funny bloke who may or may not play a joke on you while you're eagerly awaiting your order.
This caravan is not your typical kebab caravan. The serving is generous, very delicious and most importantly clean (something that lacks with a lot of other kebab caravans). The customer service is usually another experience here, the guy is funny and very thoughtful. Definitely recommend it!
Heard about this great late night kebab store since ages ago! Managed to finally taste it for ourselves. We were both ambitious, thinking we could finish one whole kebab by ourselves...Portion is huge! Best thing is that the fillings don't awkwardly stop midway, they go all the way! The owner also kindly entertained us with magic tricks while we ate :)
Top quality Adana kebab. Lovely folk running it.
I don’t know if it was a fluke or what for the time that I went, but the chips from the HSP I had was possibly the best I’ve ever had. It was the right amount of crunch and airyness (?). Gonna come back sometime soon to see if this is a consistent thing. A couple of gripes about the place is that a large is actually fairly small and there is no EFTPOS.

Previously called OZ kebab, now it's under new management with the new name OS Kebab.
This OZ kebab was well known in Flemington and after a while they moved to Fitzroy North.
The current owner is as funny and friendly as the previous owner.
The previous owner did great job hand over to the new owner as the new owner still preserves the classic entertaining coffee tricks to new customers.
Though, it's run by new owner but we didn't feel any different at all in terms of the atmosphere, vibe and taste of the food.
We ordered:
- Halal Snack Pack (HSP) for $16.00.
HSP was served in generous portion. The lamb and chicken were perfectly grilled and well seasoned.
The fries were served warm, crispy, crunchy and also well seasoned; It wasn't too salty and not oily or greasy.
The proteins served (chicken and lamb) were not greasy either, they were tender and juicy.
The taste was very delicous burst inside your mouth when you taste it.
- Chicken Kebab with sweet chilli, Mayo, Garlic for $9.50.
Nicely wrapped and as mentioned the chicken was nicely grilled and well seasoned.
Overall, we had great time having kebab here and it's considered as one of our favourites kebab shops.
Recommended place to have supper.
