I had the crispy chicken on rice which made me really stuffed. The dish was really yet the wait was a bit too long as there was only one chef
We organised a private event. Berney, the owner was very accommodative of our requests. The food was fresh and delicious and truly authentic Sri Lankan. Really enjoy. Would recommend this place.
I organised a group for Friday 1st September thinking it would be a hopper night. Bernie and his staff were so friendly and hospitable. Apparently, I got it all wrong and the special night was happening the following week with live music. Bernie and his staff, made the night. He brought out exciting dishes none of us had eaten before - heaps of entrees, Devilled beef (my favourite), egg fried rice and Sri Lankan rice noodles (my husband's favourite) accompanied by hoppers and then a variety of desserts. We had amazing coffee to finish everything off at the end. Bernie called us prior and advised we could bring wine and there was no corkage cost. I reckon this has become our new regular local. One suggestion - go hungry, because Bernie and his chefs make sure you don't go away hungry. He explained all his herbs, spices and ingredients are specially imported from Sri Lanka and are the genuine thing. I'm usually there now every Tuesday for my morning coffee and catch up with Bernie. He is so enthusiastic, he loves to talk about his food and last week he introduced my friend and I to a Sri Lankan breakfast dish - coconut roti. I would suggest to miss the Aussie style food on the menu and just go for the genuine Sri Lankan food.
