Tastes great, especially the pomegranate cheesecake. Place seems to have interesting flavours that you may not get elsewhere. Big servings! Well worth a try.

One of the best icecreams I have ever had in my life! Everything is expensive in Australia and this place is no exception. However the taste is so good that I felt it was worth every penny!
I tried the blueberry flavour in a waffle cone an it was lovely!
We used to come to Cones in Hawthorn all the time, until the heavenly Piccolina Gelateria opened. Piccolina is now our go to for ice cream in Hawthorn. Cones is great if your looking for simple ice cream. The prices are really cheap, and the ice cream is fresh, creamy, simple, aussie ice cream.
TIP: Do try the Peanut Butter Snickers- our favourite!
I like here. I usually eat ice cream every Tuesday in here. All workers in here are really nice. And I like to collect stamp when I buy an ice cream. Tasty of chocolate or other sweets is too sweet to eat more so I always chose espresso tasty.
Ice cream here is best in Glenferrie Rd, always fresh, creamy and natural flavour. Not over sweet and service is sincere and knowledgeable. Well worth the visit!
Details: The chocolate fat free sorbet was so yummy. They served my ice cream in a cup with a wafer stick for only $4.50. Fantastic post Japanese desert. I also tried my friends Tim Tam which was like you were biting into a real tim tam! I'll be back!
Decor: Pretty average. Nothing special! It's the quality of the ice cream that counts tbh. Same goes for service.
Reviews here are making me a bit suspicious. While it is decent ice cream, its certainly not 5 stars. There is indeed a large range of flavours however they don't have a particular strong taste. I struggle to see how they are all natural flavours given the neon colors of some ice creams.
Despite it being the coldest night of the year (or so it seemed), we decided that it is never too cold for ice-cream, and so we walked into the warmth of Cones on Glenferrie Road, drawn in also by the lure of crepes! The staff were very friendly and very patient as we contemplated which of the delicious-looking ice-cream flavours to select. We watched our crepes being made - such skill! They certainly looked excellent, and I'm told they tasted the same. For the slightly health-conscious, I'd highly recommend the passionfruit frozen yoghurt - delicate flavours and very creamy too. More seating would be welcome, especially for larger groups - but that's about the only criticism I'd have for this sweet place!

Amazing ice cream, yoghurt & sorbets, always been our family favorite ice cream shop. Serving sizes are very generous. I love the pistachio it reminds me of Italy.

Heaps of flavors, at least you should try once. The presentation of verities is amazing and attractive. Though, prices are bit high, especially smoothies (small $7) 🤔
Absolutely the best ice cream/gelato in Melbourne. The bubblegum flavour is packed full of mini marshmallows and has my husband and I still insisting that get it every time we visit Hawthorn. Year after year we drive 50minutes to buy birthday cakes and enjoy special treats with our children here. Family owned business who make their product from scratch using quality ingredients...and you can taste the difference. Even Augustus can't compete with these peeps! They were closed once over the Christmas period and we tried another place on Glenferrie road...so disappointed.
If you want delicious high quality icecream and friendly service, Cones is worth a drive!
My favourite Gelato place, honestly I've tried so many but nothing beats cones. The lemon and strawberry are perfect together and the salted caramel goes brilliantly with the chocolate ripple.
The best ice-cream place in the city, not only the portions are humongous, they are rich, creamy and heavenly. There was some problem with my debit transaction, it was generous of the owner to solve it right at moment. Love the friendly staff and the retro ambience, it's creates a nostalgia :)

We stumbled across this place for a quick late night dessert pick me up and we’re so glad we did.
The person serving us was so polite from when we arrived and all the way through to when when we left. I didn’t catch your name, but hands down best customer service i’ve had in a while.
We ordered crepes and had the choice to pair it with any of their ice creams. It’s well priced and tasted great.
Would definitely be coming back in the future!
