Beautiful cafe with the loveliest staff. Very friendly customer service and amazing pasta and coffeešwould definitely recommend the cannelloni
Iām a regular to this cafe. Love the staff (family run business) and the individual special service (egg/tomato breakfast muffin and lactose free latte).
Additionally the home made muffins with lots of fillings are very tasty.
The tandoori chicken focaccia is also another favourite.
Best coffee in the world trade centre & there are a few to choose from.
Friendly staff & quick service.
Coffee was the right temperature & a great favour.
Excellent baked pasta and great location. Food court style dining located at the ground floor of the World Trade Centre, Melbourne
Beat the lunch rush by grabbing lunch before 11:45am!
Baraonda is the new local here in the WTC. They make a incredible coffee and the service is exceptional - with all staff memorising all coffee orders. Grazie mille!
Quick friendly service. Simple, tasty and light meal, just what was needed for breakfast. Coffee was hot and strong ...Hit the spot on a cold morning.
Fantastic coffee , food and service . Regular customer
Great coffee, atmosphere , good coffe, cakes, food and very friendly stuff. Well done
Strong coffee -- now THAT's Italian!. Melbourne has so many tucked-away food courts, and I'm keen to explore them. This precinct especially, because I don't live too far away. Baraonda is in the bowels of the World Trade Centre (Look! Up in the sky -- is that a bird or a plane?) and it's got a pretty divergent menu for a food court operation. Breakfast, pizza, foccacias, a range of Italian items, many cooked to order in their open-plan kitchen laid out alongside a brightly lit interior laneway. I'm frequently surprised at how many custom-made items Australian eateries crank out from small spaces.
I had a flat white and a the Holy Grail of Aussie brekkies one morning, a bacon-and-egg sanger (this one on an English muffin.) Not a bad deal at $7, with a large coffee. It was foamed more like a cappuccino, but that's just technical niggling on my part. The coffee was great, robust with a slightly bitter edge (I like strong flavours) but not over-espressed. The muffwich only had one slice of bacon, and was a trifle salty for my tastes, but it was hot and fresh.
The only thing I didn't like about this location was all the police prowling around. That's no surprise, because the Victoria Police HQ is nearby. You know how some people are scared of clowns? With me, it's coppers. If clowns carried batons, pistols and capsicum spray, you'd never find me going near the circus.
Best coffee in the CBD!! It's great to be greeted first thing in the morning with a friendly smile. I visit daily during my working week and love to discover that each day there is a new home made Italian sweet. Delicious! Great atmosphere, highly recommended.
Say "ciao" to Roberto and Marcella, what a great cafe which you would not necessarily expect to find in this place. The pizza is excellent and the coffee is the best in all of South Wharf and the surrounding areas. I have found the pasta to be a little rich some times, but I like so much of their other food. Particularly, their muffins are outstanding. The food is made daily and on site. It's real. They pride themselves on their quality. It's a business cafe so it gets busy around lunch time but worth a small wait. If I'm in the area and they're open I often pop in for at least a coffee and a muffin.
Best pizza in Melbourne and awesome staff! :)
