This little cafe is one I’ve walked past a million times and never entered until now.
Once you walk it, it’s homely, warm and friendly.
I had the “big breakfast” and I was actually happy to see that is was huge, like a lot of other “big breakfast” dishes.
It was enjoyable, really nicely plated and I love the lemon wedge that served with the dish!

Highest quality food on the Mentone strip. Everything made fresh daily and no option has ever dissapointed. Interior is a little pokey but staff are warm, friendly and accomodating of our two young kids.
Not locals but have been to Mentone on a few occasions recently and always found this little cafe welcoming with a nice selection of tasty home made food. Counter is organised, clean and food looks appetising. Cakes are made in house (rare these days) and rotate weekly? delicious too!
Coffee not the best but certainly not the worst in fact pretty good with average 3.8/5 I would say.
Nice to see a little cafe doing it right where so many just get it wrong. Small do-able menu means food is kept to a high standard. Never felt the need to add salt to my food which is a benchmark for us . . . .
Great coffee, gorgeous food, lovely staff. Not much space for seating so better as a takeaway option especially on weekends (they're very obliging turning menu items into takeaways if requested). The highlight of the Mentone strip!

Small and cosy cafe, coffee was perfect - hot and strong.
Beans are Fayale blend and they use bonsoy, food looked delish will be back for brunch!
Limited seating so be prepared to wait on busy Saturday and Sunday, worth the wait though.
You have to try the simple but beautifully executed vegetable lasagne. The bread and butter pudding with rhubarb compote is divine: moist and fruity. The salads aren't anything special but the service is solid and the ambience friendly and modern.
One of the best coffee you'll get in Melbourne, they also make an excellent egg & bacon roll which I regularly pick up on my way to work if I haven't had breakfast yet. Great friendly staff and a nice place to sit and chill on a Sunday morning.
Easy to grab a quick coffee if you're on the way to Mentone train station. Very friendly staff. Nice strong-build, chocolate-undertone coffee ☕️

Reasonably priced, fresh, tasty, healthy!!! Too good!! A real gem- try the banana and passion fruit smoothie!
