What a great cafe virtually on the beach. The staff and food are wonderful. They even stayed open for an extra hour so we could enjoy the ambiance of the place. Totally recommend. See you soon.
As a mother of a young man with Autism/Epilepsy I’m always mindful of where we take our son...at times he can be noisy because he’s happy and excited, and at times he can be noisy because he’s impatient in waiting for his chips ... I want to take my son out and I want him to enjoy the perfect beach view that the SandBar Beach Cafe offers, but I don’t want to disturb others who have come to enjoy their meals - so I fine tune my timing and arrive at this lovely place when my son is not too hungry and happy to sit and wait with us. The owner of this fine restaurant is such a lovely man... he acknowledges our son where others forget, and treats us with kindness and respect ... our order always comes on time and the staff are helpful and friendly. When special needs are thrown into the mix of life it’s complicated , so it’s nice to know that we can go to a place together as a family ... where we can relax and enjoy with ease and enjoy a fine meal .
Good location, and very good beach view with friendly staff. I sat outside to have lunch. So when I was having lunch there, I could see my son playing sand.
Great cafe at a perfect beach location. Staff was polite and friendly. They close at 5pm though so try to be there early.

Lunch here today with a friend, hadn't been before, great atmosphere just by the beach. Service was pleasant and quick. Food was delicious also. I had fish and chips and my friend a breakfast. Will definitely be back.
Went in this morning, so glad this place was on my way. Customer service was funny, and pleasant all rolled into one. They definitely have their regulars. I had a croisant. The reason of the 4 star I didnt eat there. I cant rate properly on a coffee
Love this place. We are regulars. What keeps us coming back is the awesome coffee, lovely brekkies, friendly staff, and the beach views. So much so that we’ll be getting married there.
Lovely relaxing setting right on the beach!! Food was nice, but seemed a little overpriced.. but i guess with the location they can charge what they like. Very very busy in summer.

A beautiful venue set right on the beach, lovely on a Sunday morning in summer. We had brunch here with family recently, I had the poached eggs with dukkah, pesto, tomato and hommus and a side of chorizo, it was really good. My only criticism of this cafe is that there is no order to getting a table, you basically just wait until someone finishes then you have to move on in on them, it leaves you feeling awkward standing close by stalking people out. The cafe is also quite big with two entry points so there was definitely a number of people who arrived well after us but due to their lucky positioning they stumbled on a table first. Implementing some sort of waiting list at the front door may assist people to be seated in a less stressful way, and also help to clear the tables. We waited for awhile for our table to be cleared fully of all the dirty dishes.
Ok, so this is one of our fav summer spots to just chill on a nice warm day and take in the sea breeze. Sandbar Beach Cafe is literally right on the beach and has a great outdoor area where you can literally step off onto the sand!! We are real beach babes so we LOVE this spot!!!. The atmosphere is relaxed and social, the pups get heaps of cuddles and attention. They even have a water bowl on offer, but just one, so if there are other doggies around make sure you take a portable one just in case. There are large tables, smaller tables, and tables for two along the wall. So whether you are in a large group or just the two you will find yourself a comfy spot for sure 🙂
The young, relaxed, beach vibe here is so lovely. The waitress staff are also great.
Food itself was okayyyyy... I had the paella which had a nice flavour although the seafood was a little chewy
Amazing cafe, came across this one on a morning walk at the Marina Parade. Has huge windows for ocean view, has access for outdoor seating and pets. Menu is standard, coffee is amazing, service is prompt and the views stunning....
Really great location (right on the beach) and delicious food. Been here several times with my friend and her toddler. The only awkward part is having to get up and order at the counter, which means someone can take your table if you're by yourself... or if you're with a toddler, you can't leave them at the table. There are lots of wait staff so I wish they'd just do table orders.
Fish and Chips - Shoe String Fries without any special / creative input. Simple Salad - Greens & Thinly Sliced Radish with some sort of oily salad dressing. Presentation was nice. Bonus: Lemon Quarter and Tartare Sauce which I might add was pretty good - Cost: $27.
I won’t come back - it’s just not worth it.
Could not recommend The Sandbar enough! We held our engagement party here recently and we're so pleased with how the night turned out. The venue itself is beautiful, guests could not stop complimenting the food, and the staff on that night were outstanding. 2 staff in particular went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing night and I have to say they made the night go so smoothly. I would absolutely hold another event here, everyone who we dealt from start to finish was so professional and friendly, Thank you!
Great spot for Brunch while soaking in the beachfront atmosphere. This is a lovey spot, especially on a day when you can sit outside right on the beach. The staff are friendly and helpful.
This place is a great we to enjoy the beach and some good food and beverage at the same time. Very dog friendly.
You order at the counter and they will bring it out to you. This is always a bit of a downer for me as I never can be bothered going up to order a second coffee, which I almost always have if they take orders at the table.
The food is very good. The coffee was ok , but not great, drinkable but not as good as I would expect from a Melbourne Cafe. It was weak and only just warm. I guess I can order a stronger and hotter one next time.
