Great place to chill out with friends although it rains or shines! Nice outdoor sitting and interesting interior design! Try their Cubano if you like jucicy but not greasy pork belly; it's yum!
Double fried chicken burger was great and had a nice kick to it. Also had the peanut butter and banana shake, dayummmm it was good!
Great new place. Grew to vibe, great food and excellent service!!! Highly reccommended for all!
Great service, great food and friendly staff. Lovely place.

We were lucky enough to be invited to Jack The Geezer. The cafe is cozy and relaxing. We started with drinks Morning Glory and Watermelon+coconut juice. The juice was refreshing. Then we had 3 dishes
🍳Cock-a-doodle-doo
🥓 French Toast
🌈 Acai Bowl
Everything was amazing ! We love the french toast and acai ! They were just perfect! The cock a doodle doo was also delicious. The bread was so good!
We would recommend this cafe.
Located in leafy Middle Park right opposite Middle Park's tram station, Jack the Geezer pleases with a solid brunch offering alongside great coffee poured by adept baristas.
Grumbling bellies are rewarded at Jack the Geezer with generous portions of hearty food that is simple but simply delicious.
Our top picks include the dish aptly called the "Middle Eastern" which is a stunning amalgamation of traditional falafels, roasted pine nuts, hummus, heirloom tomato, cucumber, olives, sumac dukkha, poached egg encasing dripping yolk finished with a fresh rosemary and basil dressing and served with crusty panini bread.
For meat lovers the Stag Night Reviver is a must. Think panini bread encasing grilled 120g Porterhouse steak layered with onion jam, grilled prosciutto, tomato, cos lettuce, mustardaioli, Swiss cheese and fried egg. This comes with a generous side of crispy chips too.
If you want something healthier then the Convent Grains salad is perfect. A nutrient dense mix of grains and rice, Meredith’s goat feta, herbs, spinach and smashed avocado. It's good for you without compromising on taste.
A part from delicious coffee, these guys make great smoothies too. The Morning Glory is simply divine and is a mouthwatering blend of dates, banana, vanilla, almond Milk and a shot of coffee.
Located in Middle park, right opposite the tram stop, Jack the geezer cafe is a delightful place to have lunch.
They have a great variety of dishes on their Menu, I really enjoyed their butter milk chicken burger. The chicken was crispy and tender, and their homemade spice BBQ peach relish was absolutely delicious!
They also make amazing smoothies. I would definitely dine here again.
In the beautiful suburb of Middle Park, on a busy corner, Jack the Geezer is a fabulous cafe that doesn’t just have great food and coffee, but a lot of heart too! The venue is so fitting for the area. There is lots of room in the cafe as well as a lot of outdoor seating. As we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff who took our coffee orders and showed us the extensive menu.
So many great options to choose from! I couldn't resist the Middle Eastern breakfast. A beautifully presented plate of amazing goodies. Traditional falafels, hummus, heirloom tomato, cucumber, olives, poached egg with rosemary & basil dressing served with panini bread. Sooo good.
Locals were enjoying the relaxed ambience and fantastic dishes too, proving that this stunning cafe has what it takes to keep patrons returning for more delicious food and friendly service.
We were invited to Jack the Geezer today a cute little cafe located in the Middle Park shopping strip easily accessible by nearby tram with ample parking nearby.
I started with a refreshing tropical smoothie as we awaited our dishes to arrive. We were presented with most generous serves in the middle eastern and smashed avocado. My dining companion loved the middle eastern and my smashed avocado was a far cry from the average.
There was so much going on on that plate and all of it was delicious. I loved the honey carrot purée and the salted ricotta. The ample herbs atop the pumpkin bread gave it a beautiful freshness and lots of lovely flavour. I was really impressed with this dish. We finished with the berry pancakes which were well balanced and quite pretty on the plate.
On this crisp spring morning we dined at the wonderfully names Jack the Geezer cafe in Middle Park surrounds. There weren’t plenty of happy outdoor dining patrons accompanied by extraordinarily well behaved dogs and we enjoyed the vibe whilst sipping our hot creamy lattes.
The menu had plenty of delicious sounding dishes was quite extensive with a dedicated sweet brunch section and a long list of smoothies and other drinks on the reverse. We loved the names British names and we settled on the Buckingham Benedict (with sausage) and the recomended French Toast (with bacon).
We also ordered the Goddess Strawberry smoothie which was the perfect combo of coconut and berry and so good.
The French toast came out and looked divine with thick pieces of authentic brioche, fried with lovely sweet crispy edges, not too eggy and served with jammy berries and sweet mascarpone.
The Buckingham Benedict came on top of home made crumpets, poached eggs under a saffron hollandaise and herby sausages (something I don’t normally go for but felt like today). Other options included bacon, ham and salmon. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the sweet asparagus on this dish, perfectly in season.
We had a fab time at Jack the Geezer. Thanks so much for inviting us in.
Wonderful spot for a fantastic tasty lunch on the drive down the coast. The coffee was A++. Friendly service too.
A really lovely cafe with lots of outdoor seating for those lovely Melbourne days. We had the eggs Benedict with saffron hollandaise served on crumpets with bacon and asparagus. A really lovely dish and probably my favourite. The asparagus gave it a freshness and I loved the idea of the crumpets soaking up all that sauce a yolk. Delish!
The berry hotcakes were also yum for those sweet tooth’s out there! Finally the chicken burger was super crispy and the pickles and chutney gave it a sweetness and tanginess that I really enjoyed. Coffee was also spot on!
Thanks for having us 👍🏻
4.5 A stone's throw from Albert Park, with a stunning corner unit, Jack the Geezer is the ideal spot for brunch and a stroll. Jack the Geezer is a popular spot, managing to achieve the perfect...
Coffees are love love love..
ambience is super cool ..
staff is amazing..
service is superb.
Super near and clean surroundings..
I would definitely recommend this place for coffee and breakfast
This place does great coffee (their large size is one of the largest in Bayside) in a convenient location. It can get busy, so I more often than not get take-out rather than have a sit down brunch. Having said that, the food is great - recently had the French toast which was perfectly proportioned and not too heavy. They have a great selection of gluten free treats and other non-gluten pastries and sweets in their cabinet which are reasonably priced, too.
Jack the Geezer Cafe is located on Canterbury Road in Middle Park. With a great corner location it has a lovely interior with plenty of light as well as a gas fire in the back section. I was invited to visit with a few other bloggers to try the menu.
The menu itself was impressive, some traditional British dishes with a modern spin. A large range of dishes from brunch to lunch & lighter options.
I was over caffeinated so opted for a hot chocolate which arrived with some pretty art. I ordered the Halloumi burger which came with crispy thick chips. The burger was delicious & a fantastic vegetarian option, filled with mushrooms, jalapeños, salad & halloumi it was packed with flavour.
I also tried the Mixed berry pancakes which were perfectly light & fluffy and I loved the addition of lemon curd. I was also impressed with the fruit salad, seasonal fruits with homemade granola & coconut yoghurt. Definitely something I’d go for in the warmer weather.
The service was fast & friendly and we all enjoyed our meals. A nice quiet spot to catch up for brunch or a late lunch. Thanks so much for having us.
This is a nice cafe with indoor and outdoor seating and a nice gas fire inside. There is plenty of street parking.
I started with a strong almond latte which was creamy, it had a good amount of milk froth. What a perfect start.
For my brunch I ordered the Buckingham Benedict which was poached eggs, grilled asparagus, saffron hollandaise, and English muffins and crispy (thank you) bacon.
My Benedict sauce was delicious, the hollandaise was rich and thick, And the bacon yummy and cooked really well.
Joining me on this gastronomical feast was SplittheBill, Chronicles of Nardia, Tinmanstreets and HelloImNikki who also ordered some delectable and delicious vegetarian and beef burgers and a dish called "Goldfingers" hahaha
Overall this was a great experience with some great food and company! I can't comment on the service as this was an invitation for me but I can say that this is an experience not to be missed.
Definitely worth a visit.

“Geezer (noun) definition - a man, often old or unusual in some way”
Jack the Geezer, self-deprecating, tongue in cheek.
An English vibe, while not obvious from the exterior – the vibe transfers in the menu. With menu items like ‘The Full Monte’ ‘Piccadilly Grocer’ and the ‘Ashes Caesar’ you can see where the inspiration comes from.
I was invited along with some of Melbourne's most prominent restaurant reviewers to try some of the menu items at Jack the Geezer.
To go with the theme, I decided to have the corned beef burger. This was a nice change from your traditional beef or chicken. Proper corned beef (not the tinned variety) has a comfort feel and for a lot of Australians/English people – this is something they remember from their childhood. Severely underrated – the burger is definitely worth a try.
The other dishes that others tried looked visually stunning – something I wasn’t not expecting and therefore was pleasantly surprised. The standout was the pancakes with mixed berries, they were very fluffy.
Service was great and the food came out very quickly. I also had a chai which was tastily comforting. The interior is warm and straddles between spacious and comforting. A great option in the Port Melbourne area, there’s no pretension with this place but their outputs rival anything that’s big on Instagram at the moment.
On a corner spot of a quiet strip of shops, lies an unassuming local neighbourhood cafe that is doing all the right stuff in keeping the brunch scene alive and well in the sleepy suburb of Middle Park. Jack the Geezer welcomes all with open arms, and charms all with its delicious offerings.
With such a cheeky name, I couldn't resist ordering the Gold Fingers. These fingers, ahem, I mean polenta prisms, didn't disappoint. Hot and chunky, crisped on the outside and satisfyingly creamy and dense inside. With an abundance of charred corns, smashed avo, roasted cherry tomatoes rockets, feta and shaved parmesan accompanying the polenta prisms, this was a dish filled with bright and clean flavours, and was incredibly filling too. Topping it all off was the perfectly poached egg, one that made for a great #yolkporn moment.
I got to taste the Mix Berries Pancake, and while the name was less exciting compared to the others, there was nothing dull about this dish at all. Fresh vibrant flavours from the berries and lemon curd, crunchy textural delight from the crushed pistachios and almond flakes, and the pancakes were so soft and fluffy.
The rest of the dishes looked amazing, especially the humble fruit salad that arrived looking so much more photogenic than the rest. In keeping with the British theme, the Jack's Club incorporated the supremely underrated corn beef as an ingredient.
As I had one too many coffees already yet still hankering for one, I ordered a dirty chai, which was wonderfully aromatic and deliciously spiced.
Jack might think of himself as a geezer, but he's one fine ripper of a geezer. Thank you for having me!
We went on a Sunday morning, busy day, to have breakfast and coffee. I ordered a Buckingham Benedict which was delicious. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere of the place nice. We will definitely come back.
The neighbourhood cafe you have been looking for! Jack the Geezer ticks all the boxes when it comes to being a great cafe - it has beautiful natural light streaming through the large windows, it’s spacious with a lot of seating inside as well as outside. It’s situated on the corner of Armstrong St & Canterbury Rd- so you cant miss it.
- the food is amazing and the portions are large. The cafe has an extensive menu with quirky British themed menu names, so you can order the Big Ben Burger or Gold Fingers.
- Prices of food is on par, coffee $4 for a small.
- The coffee is delicious and hits the spot. Coffee is by a Melbourne based roaster Madamimadam.
We ordered the delicious smashed avocado which was a very generous serving, the warm porridge with coconut milk & baked rhubarb, the Buckingham Benedict with sausage was a great choice, served on crumpets instead of bread. The insta worthy French toast looked as delicious as it looked. Will we visit again... of course, the cafe is just up the road.
Used to be my local, awesome hospitality team that look after their customers, love their coffee and the food is off the hook! Would certainly recommend
Gave it a second go and I'm glad I did!
First time at Jack the Geezer, ordered a long black. After tasting it, decided not to order food. Was terrible.
This cafe is on a convenient route to work so a week or so later decided to give it another crack; minus the long black.
The food was Crazy Yum! Ordered the Goldfinger. Was very impressively presented and everything on the plate went beautifully together.
Shame that my coffee of choice was a fail, but the Almond Milk Mocha was lovely.
A girlfriend and I came here for brunch and had a great experience. The service was quick and friendly. We sat outside as my friend has a dog and they had a bowl of water for him which was very sweet to see. The brunch was very good, i loved the smashed avo which was a good serving size and my friend enjoyed the mushroom dish.
Will definitely return. Thanks 🙏🏼
Delicious food and generous portions! Staff there are courteous and friendly. Such a nice cafe to hangout for brunch on weekends and no need to wait in massive long queues. Will def go back again to try the other stuff on their menu!◝(⑅•ᴗ•⑅)◜..°♡
Great coffee, friendly staff and generous portions. We had the burger which was delicious- highly recommend. Decor is very close and cute. Will definitely be back!
I had the smashed avocado which was a great take on a Melbourne classic that has become so commonplace on breakfast menus I usually avoid it. Great favours in the salad - I really enjoyed what I am pretty sure was picked chili on top. The serving size was huge, although theirs is slightly more expensive than usual.
A cold drip/brew coffee would be a great addition to the menu :)
Great little cafe.. the space is very contemporary and just like the menu.
Lots of fun twists on old favorites.
I tried the Avo Smash and it was pure gold! It had a great mix of flavors.
Had their innovative corn flakes chook burger (see picture) and was very impressed! Massive piece of spicy fried chicken, jalapenos and a nice touch with charcoal buns. Comes with one of the best thick curly fries I've eaten. The ginger, apple, pear and celery juice is very well balanced and refreshing. Will definitely come back to try other things on their menu. Highly recommended!
Spread time At the recently opened @jackthegeezercafe With ex head chef from Tom Dick & Harry @annaletho on board, you know you're in for a good time! Great drop of coffee along with beautiful prepared dishes with a slight British twist incorporated. A favorite? Everything!
Burger Order: Corn Flake Chook Burger
Double Fried Chicken with dill pickles + lettuce + bacon + jalapeños + Geezer sauce on charcoal brioche bun.
Jack The Geezer is a new cafe that only recently opened a couple of weeks ago. With a limited menu and only one burger to try, it was an easy decision.
The flavours running through this burger were a level up on most cafes. Fried chicken being a double was a big surprise while the pickles and jalapenos were a great mix.
Word on the street is there is going to be an 8 layer Ruben on the full menu when it is launched, cannot wait for that!
A great place to go with the gang, a normal breakfast/brunch menu with a quality burger.
A nice little new cafe in the Middle Park shops. Coffee was average. Menu was fairly limited, as they haven't started their full menu yet (not many vego options). However, the cafe is lovely inside, with lots of outside seating too. Staff were friendly and the food was also really nice: very inventive Smashed Avocado. Definitely want to come back once the full menu starts.
Great coffee in Middle park. My almond latte was superb! So many nice things to choose from the menu. Plenty of vegetarian options. Can't wait to have brunch here again!
My favorite cafe near Albert Park.
Whenever I go to Middle Park with my son, I am sure to get a coffee here.
Good cafe!
Excellent food and coffee. Attentive service. Relatively inexpensive. Covid safe practices. Great outdoor seating - dog friendly - we had 6 dogs and 6 people without difficulty. Wildly different meal choices well timed by kitchen to arrive together. Highly recommend this little place.
Good gluten free options. Adequate nearby street parking. Might be close to road but planters and kerbing make it a cosy spot. Good for children.
Apart from the 10000 people at The Cup, the rest of Melbourne appeared to be enjoying the public holiday at the beach. We decided to head 800m or so off the Esplanade and take a punt on Middle Park. It paid off. Easy 4hr park. Soothing jazz tunes in the air. Wonderfully delicious decaf long black. Excellent iced latte. Now for the food..."Picadilly and Mediterranean" most pleasing to the eye and palate. Would highly recommend.
Middle Eastern meal was fantastic with yummy falafel and ample salad. Portion size is good so make sure you are really hungry for this one 🙂 Pancakes for kids were very soft. I loved the Soy Chai too. Poached eggs were slightly overcooked as the yolk wasn't runny but overall food was good. Ample car and bike parking space. We sat outdoors as the day was sunny and absolutely loved the seating ❤️
We loved our visit to Jack the Geezer. We ordered the delicious smashed avocado which was a very generous serving, the warm porridge with coconut milk & baked rhubarb, the Buckingham Benedict with sausage was a great choice, served on crumpets instead of bread. The insta worthy French toast looked as delicious as it looked. The coffee is delicious and hits the spot. Coffee is by a Melbourne based roaster Madamimadam. Fabulous staff, service was quick, loved the decor, we will definitely visit again soon.

Caught the tram to this humble little cafe and Wowee what a treat ! I decided after much deliberation to take on ‘Jacks Dish’ and I was wholeheartedly satisfied from beginning, middle to end. Incredible quinoa and grain bed with currants and heirloom tomatoes, accompanied like a symphonic melody with halloumi and polenta prisms and topped with two gorgeous and perfectly cooked poached eggs. All brought together with a wonderful balsamic drizzle and regular flat white to die for. Jack ya bloody geezer I will be back. Often. Thank you.
