Easily the best steak I have ever eaten! Their passion for what they do shows through every element of The Tasting Room, from the atmosphere to their care for the wagu and the taste of the food they serve. Would rate higher if I could

In 2014, we learned about Mayura Station and The Tasting Room. October 2017, we returned to Australia, drove the Great Ocean Road, stayed in Millicent town and experienced the priviledge of the 'Mayura Experience' The personal service was outstanding! The Wagyu Beef we experienced was beautiful, melt in the mouth delicious! Selection of wines and beverages superb. A destination worth visiting for a unique tasting experience! Stay In Touch NZ Ltd.

Wagyu beef was definitely the highlight of our meals. Beautifully cooked and served. Service took longer than expected for a four course meal took roughly 2 hours. Be careful of the potholes on the drive there.

Probably the best country steak house you’ll find. Fresh and not too fancy. Food is excellent value when you consider in Melbourne you pay the same price for just the steak alone, here you get that and 3 extra courses. Ask for the chefs table for the full experience. Doesn’t get much better for carnivores.

By far the best steak I have ever had. It's not just about the steak though, the entire experience is amazing. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the selection of drinks will not disappoint and each the elements of each course work so well together you find yourself cleaning the plate to make sure you get it all. Well worth a trip to the SE on its own.

This place has been on the bucket list for a while and it didnt disappoint. Great night hanging out with the chef, getting a good background on the history of the cattle, station and tasting super amazing juicy steaks. All the different cuts were amazing in their own way, some you need only a butter knife.

Visited again for a second time, and the wagyu was as delicious as I remember 😍 We drove down for one night from Adelaide just to have this for dinner. For newbies, definitely get the 4 course meal so you get to try different cuts 3 different ways. The dessert is always amazing. I've had Mayura Station wagyu at lots of other restaurants in South Australia and also in Singapore, though I swear only the chefs at the Mayura Station Tasting Room know how to make their wagyu taste this good. Mark Wright, the Head Chef, works magic and with his team creates the most delicious and pleasing dishes I've ever had. I'm wagyu crazy and eat my way around places and have tried A5 wagyu from lots of different regions in Japan, and Mayura Station wagyu is definitely one of my favourite brands of wagyu because of its distinctive sweet smell and taste.

If you're in the Mount Gambier area and you love steak this is a definite must do experience. Full blood Waygu dinner where they're grown. The chef takes you through the history of Waygu and how the cattle are treated then you get to try. Fantastic experience.

Fell in love with this place for the first time in 2017 and knew I had to return. Not too much had changed and the food was still amazing. The wagyu here is the best I’ve had in Australia and I enjoyed dining at the chef’s table to learn about Mayura and wagyu in general. The price is great value for the whole experience. Well worth the drive. I’d recommend staying in Robe nearby for an enjoyable seaside town visit too!

A truly amazing experience. The four course degustation menu was delicious. The tataki with wasabi and herbs was an absolute standout. The chef described it as like butter and he was so right. The eggplant perfectly complemented the sirloin for main and I am not an eggplant fan. We didn't choose the wine pairing option but a beautiful cab sav from Jim Brand was a perfect match to the meal. The service was also fantastic with knowledgeable chef giving you an intro to the meal and the wait staff backed him up able to answer some other questions during the evening. Beautiful views, fantastic food and wine and great service. Thinking we'll make this an annual pilgrimage
