Service is really good, coffee is ok but it’s Mitcham, don’t be a snob. Can’t expect the world, I’m happy to at least get decent service for that I would return as a customer!
Had an exceptionally good breakfast with friends, food was really fresh and delicious. Highlights were a BLT with avocado, big breakfast with scrambled eggs and a smashed avo and feta on sourdough. Coffee was very good. Service very friendly and competent. There is a small dining area inside, it’s a bit plain, not particularly inviting. But most people sit outside under the umbrellas. We will definitely return.
This Greek cafe is a hidden gem with great service, food and. Slur for money. The staff are helpful and friendly and the coffee is very good too. Great choice of meals and the quantities are generous yet full of flavour. We will be back!
What a glorious day! As such we decided to visit this lovely cafe in Mitcham. Had a brewed Chai latte (my favourite hot drink) and ordered a spinach pie to share. We followed that with Poseidon's breakfast (poached eggs, avocado, spinach on Turkish bread) and The Benedict. I don't like poached eggs so I had mine scrambled on top of layers of succulent ham sitting on Turkish bread and smothered in homemade Hollandaise. The portions are huge and ideal for sharing. Clearly we don't share in my family so ordered our own and left alot on the plate. The waiting staff are young and attentive and we didn't wait long to be served or too long for our food. Because I'm having a good day and don't want this post deleted (yes, Zomato does delete my posts!) I'll keep this sarcasm free. *No soup for you today* a la Seinfeld.....
Love this place. I try to come here whenever possible. Best take home meals in Melbourne. I have even tri d them for catering. Spoilt for choice. True Fresh home made meals. Love Ambrosia and the food you make
Little gem among the Mitcham food strip. Yummy food, good coffee, very friendly, attentive staff, what is there not to like? Decor is a bit basic but who is looking at the roof when enjoying food that is a little different from the run of the mill. We will be back.
What a lovely experience! Friendly staff welcomed me at the door, as well as a beautiful display of the freshly made food! Had a delicious coffee to begin with, then had a serve of the incredible Chicken Souvlaki! It was served open which I liked and the portion size was so huge, it filled the plate to the brim! I barely had room for dessert, but I will return as the display of homemade baked goods looked too good to be true! Very nicely done Ambrosia. Truly is "Food for Gods". :)
3.7/5.... This place is a good alternative too the other cafes in the area when you're sick on fancy pants food. The food is a little more homey and won't give off great pictures so you can't show off to all your friends on twitface and facetube. The eggs benedict was great heaps of sauce bread was good quality. Decor reminds me of a 1980's charcoal chicken place and I had two different types of cutlery one english pattern and the other plain but I didn't really care because the food was tastey. It's run but greek people and they know how to make a good coffee.
I would take my mum here for a sunday brekkie and she would feel at home.
I was dragged into Ambrosia with the charming by-line of 'Food For Gods' by Kiddo who spied a casserole of lima beans by the window. A strange food obsession for a kid but I guess slow cooked beans have rustic appeal. I allowed myself to be dragged as I fancied myself as a Greek demi-God *wink*. After convincing Kiddo that to eat a bowl of beans on its own is a bit unusual and that we needed some other supplementation, we agreed to a mezze plate for two to go with.
Fresh authentic Greek meals. Nice Salads. Excellent home cooked tasting moussaka.
Saganaki fried cheese was delicious!
Also authentic Greek style coffee frappe!

Great coffee. Brilliant almond biscuit home made. The other foods look fabulous too, especially the home made sausage rolls and salad stuff. Great service. Cosy inside atmosphere and sunny outside seating (for fine days) What is not to like? Prices very reasonable

I'm not the type of person to write reviews, but I thought this place needed the recognition. The most amazing, helpful, kind staff. I suffer from food allergies, they were so happy to accommodate my needs, without one roll of the eyes....which is pretty rear these days.
Food was delicious along with the beautiful coffee and we'll priced to boot. Will definitely be coming back.

Second time here. Can't get enough of their delicious food. Fresh tiramisu and savory pastries available. Coffee is pretty good too. Relaxing atmosphere & attentive staffs.
