This restaurant always appears to be fully booked for dinner and upon walking past we regularly hear staff reluctantly having to turn away diners without bookings. Hubby and I were fortunate enough that the staff could squeeze the two of us in without a booking on a Sunday night. Our first impression was how friendly and accommodating ALL staff members that we encountered were. In particular, our waitress Kristiina was friendly and obliging. Without a booking, the only seating available was a high set table and chairs which we were prepared to accept given our failure to book. However, Hubby has a leg injury and preferred a seat whereby his feet could rest on the floor and as soon as one became available, Kristiina worked to relocate us without hesitation. The decor of the restaurant is very romantic and fancy, but without being intimidating and the seating is extremely comfortable. For entre we ordered Pane Casa (Homemade Breads). The sourdough was delightfully dense yet airy and paired beautifully with the accompaniments served. Unfortunately, I did not photograph this (clearly too hungry to wait!). For main we opted for the Beef Cheek Parpadelle pasta and the Carni Italiane Clássico (Classic Meat Lovers) pizza. The pasta was obviously fresh and the ragout was hearty and ‘made with love’. Although the pizza toppings were gorgeous, the standout attribute was the base, which was doughy and fresh but held together if eaten either with knife and fork or if picked up by hand. Portion sizes of all meals were extremely generous. Too full from dinner, we skipped dessert, opting for drinks instead. The beverage list at Belle Venezia is extensive and well explained. The Tiramisu Martini was NEXT LEVEL and hands-down the best version of an espresso martini I’ve tasted! We will most certainly be returning to this venue again (with a booking next time) and cannot recommend it highly enough.
I wanted a candlelight dinner, and I got one, under the heaters with a sea breeze, I was hungry after eating my main + salad and it was a little bit on the expensive side, however the food was satisfying. Nothing to rave but nothing to complain about, and happy I was able to leave some room for desert.
Food absolutely fabulous. Service great as well. Prices are on the higher side especiallly the pizzas but given the location and quality it's not unreasonable.
Loved this place!! Food was amazing! (Had the Roma Pizza) drinks were terrific and I cannot put into words how amazing the service was, the waiters and waitresses were so polite & helpful, will definitely be visiting again!
Delicious Italian restaurant on the Sunshine Coast. The pizza I had was amazing so tasty and fresh!! The staff were very accommodating and friendly. I saw they do homemade pasta so I will definitively come back to try this next time! Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice lunch or dinner out!
Quality! It Shouldnt Be That Hard! Love A Wonderful Mouth Full Of Wholesome FOOD!
+4
This restaurant was very relaxed, the ambiance was modern it just needed a little music and it would of been perfect. . The food was quiet good. The servings was a little small however the taste was very nice.
The carbonara was cooked to perfection.
I had the pumpkin risotto it was so tasty. I would go back again.
The cocktails where very nice as well.
We dined here not knowing what to expect and had the seafood spaghetti with prawns, pipis and calamari - it was to die for. Perfect amount of chilli and the white wine sauce has enough starch to gloriously coat the hand made spaghetti. We also had the lamb with pea purée, roasted bab carrots, potatoes and jus. The lamb was lovely however the pea purée just needed a little more pea flavour, maybe a little too much cream? And the jus needed to be reduced a little more! Oysters was pricey but were fantastic and fresh. Our waitress was a blonde older lady who was incredibly attentive and funny. Would recommend to friend and will be back.
For high quality italian and a wide range of wine options, this place is legendary, and the best of the bunch along the esplanade. The vibe is modern and welcoming and the staff are great. It's been here for years (which in itself seems a triumph), but it now has an outdoor dining area (with fairy-lights at night which I adore), and an always evolving menu. I had lunch here on a sunny day recently and couldn't have been happier with my quinoa chicken salad (with a delicious minty, yoghurt dressing) and Pinot Grigio. Mmmmm.
The ambience was nice, if not a bit dark out the back. The service was a little distracted. The food was tasty. I had the seafood sharing plate, the calamari was so light and tender, the 2 prawns had a nice chargrilled flavour and the 2 oysters kilpatrick had a pleasant bbq sauce flavour. I would've liked a bit more food on the plate for the price. Husband enjoyed his seafood pasta and the kids spag bol and pizza were fresh and reasonably priced. A bit shocked that a lemon lime & bitters was $7, although it was a good size drink. Our 2 mains, 2 kids meals & 2 soft drinks came to $96. A bit overpriced for the amount of food we received. But it was a pleasing meal.
We came here without a booking and were blown away by the excellent service. Waiters were friendly and very attentive. We ordered the panini with garlic butter and olive oil and balsamic. It came out warm and delicious! I got the Spaghetti ai Fruitti di Mare and my husband ordered the Morton Bay Bug Spaghetti and both were delicious. They were beautifully presented and very tasty. The homemade spaghetti was amazing.
We absolutely loved this place, although it is on the more expensive side.
