Very juicy burgers. Have been back a couple of times. Recommend.
I hadn't been to New York Minute in Moonee Ponds circa 5 years. I'm glad to that it was just as good and if not better than I remember it.
I got the chilli beef burger and the burger, salad and condiments were well balanced and tasted great. Reminded me of Burger Fuel in NZ.
The chips were also crispy and soft in the middle just like they should be.
The only downside was perhaps customer service. I believe the lady who served us was the manager. She was too busy making videos of the new POS system to take care of customers properly. And not to mention her idea of being personable was dropping the F bomb whilst talking to tradie customers.
I will be back as the food was superb.
Have this thing about trying non corporate Burger places. Usually on a Sunday but today is a sunny Melbourne Saturday so off for a drive.. This time for a Burger, ordered Miami Burger $14.50. Great tasty patty, favours came through and the bun held its act together. First customer of day and the "product" was prefect. Great selection of Burgers, see photos. Team members friendly and happy.
Ordered the veggie springtime burger and hot chips. Hot chips were slightly over cooked. Veggie burger was good. Nice flavours and great texture. Special sauce is amazing
Wow! I probably ate one of the best burgers for a long while. I had the juiciest New Jersey with jalapeno and my friend had the Philly Cheese Burger. He enjoyed his meal as well. We also ordered the best chips and sweet potato chips as well. The young girl who served us was a tad brash but friendly enough and the rest of the staff professional and well uniformed. We will definitely return.
We came around lunch time to try out their burger. I have the mini New York burger (one patty). My friend had the New York burger (two patties). And we had a large chips to share. The burger was delicious. The patty is nice and juicy. One patty is enough though, two was a bit of an overkill. They use pickles and spinach rather than your standard tomato and lettuce. Must try the chips as they are super yummy. Almost like your beer batter chips. Will definitely come back!
Have been here a few times first time was just before the huge burger trend in Melbourne started and was pretty impressed with there version of the Big Mac well priced and great size burgers and still up there with the burger gods ie; 8bit,yomg,stburgs etc keep up the good work guys I’ll be coming back for sure 👍
Their New York burger featured in an article on top 10 burgers in Melbourne so I thought I'd try it. I have to agree it's a worthy contender. Their chips and shakes are good too
Whilst my friend enjoyed her broadway chicken burger, mine must have been made up of 80% raw onion because although she has a blocked nose when I turned to talk to her she assumed I'd burped raw onion in her face. Thankfully this has not set back my bonding with her new cat. Would not recommend the vegan burger if on a date unless of course you're into that kind of thing...or you want to get rid of the prick/dissuade the goodnight kiss. Unlike Shrek's onion metaphor this burger had one layer and it was onion!
Burgers are okay, not my most favourite burgers. Not a very big space so would recommend getting take away as the only space to eat is on bar stools.
The burgers are always great and fresh. Not the biggest fan of the chunky onion but doesn't bother me when eating. Chips are yum although wasn't too pleased arriving home and finding the large chips my partner and i shared had looked like a small amount put in the large box.
Average night out for food. Would come back though.
Service was consistent with customers and very polite.
Love the Philli and cheese! It is yummy and their special sauce is something special. Would love if there were a couple more spots to sit and enjoy the meal.
Had lunch here today and we ordered the southern beef burger combo. The burger itself had a more home taste to it which felt cosy while eating where as the chips tasted pretty good with it's slight potatoey crisp along with it's seasoning. I wouldn't say it's bang for the buck but in my mind it was worth a try to experience.
wow, we are very impressed with New York Minute. The food is tasty, the menu is reasonably priced for the top quality and the service from the exceptional staff, in particular, Luke was great to witness as they were eager to please, they will be our first choice for when we are hungry
Very small place, difficult to find a seat when busy.
I actually love their burgers here, chips are amazing!
Staff were meh, abit pushy.
Would only come back if I were in the area.

Wow this looks like a home made big mac. Fantastic. Awesome bun and the chips are really good. FYI the New York Burguer is huge (look at the picture) I recommend to have the Mini New York which is a normal size Burguer.
BEST BURGERS EVER!!!! Yum! Service was awesome. I mentioned that I live crunchy chips and they cooked them a bit longer and they were sooooo crunchy. Burger was cleverly made and the chocolate ripple milkshake was so thick and tasty. We will be back
The four of us enjoyed our burgers and had nothing to complain about. Excellent choice of burger menu also and nice chips. Reasonably priced for a lunch option.
I came here with my partner the other day, the service was great! We were served by Kelly, who was friendly and helpful the minute we stepped into the store.
I ordered a New York burger, and my partner had the Hell's Kitchen. The flavours in the burgers were amazing, chips were lovely and crisp! Only downsides, not much seating, and terrible for car parks. But other than that, great place to go!
Went here last Saturday night with my wife and was happy to find really helpful and professional staff. We were welcomed from the start l ordered the brisket burger and it was so good fresh hot and very tasty. My Wife had the New Jersey and was just as good the chips were the highlight of the night.
In ending this restaurant is recommended.
The staff were lovely and patient with us while we took our time ordering, and often took the time to check in on our experience.
The burgers are simple and amazing, opting out of your typical salad fillings by replacing lettuce with baby spinach (an unusual and delicious alternative).
Honourable mentions go to the Manhattan Island burger and their sweet potato chips.
Delicious burgers, fresh hot chips and really decadent milkshakes. Fantastic place with a large menu! There is not a whole lot of seating inside but even to take away, this place is gold!
So glad that I dropped by this joint for a quick lunch meal.
Fantastic Veggie Burger, melt in your mouth fries (seriously, they are amazing!), and a deliciously sweet but not overpowering chocolate shake.

Not sure why the average reviews, was very happy to eat the burgers here on a rainy Monday night. Partner had the New Jersey which was very tasty and had nice patties. I had the Wall Street, which had a proper eye fillet steak that was nicely cooked, very delicious and soft not tough and chewy. Mine suffered a bit from wet burger effect but then I used it as chip sauce!
The small chips are a decent size, although they weren't anything special. Some places you just HAVE to get the chips, and while they weren't 'bad' here they weren't a must-have. The sweet potato chips were ok, although a bit too dark and slightly burnt tasting. Again not a must-have.
Chocolate ripple milkshake was DELICIOUS!! I'm not a fan of milk but even I couldn't resist having half of one. However they were a little pricey considering you get it in an average size hipster jar-with-handle, and not a proper full size milkshake cup.
Staff were fine, and being very quiet it was good to eat in with the stools and seating at the window. Wouldn't really fit a lot of diners though during busy times, even with the tables outside (no heaters, not somewhere to sit in winter).
I will certainly be back to try the pork and chicken as well!
We got the New Yorker burger. It's like a very premium version of the Big Mac.

Been to New York Minute quite a few times. My favourite burger is definitely the New York Burger. It tastes similar to a big mac but a very high quality version. The chips are good too and pricing is competitive with other local burger shops. Definitely worth a try if you haven't been.
5 out of 5 for this place came here Saturday night and had one of the best customer service experiences Jacob was his name and he just made the experience even better he was so friendly and was so good to talk to. the burgers where delicious non greasy which is even better and fresh tasting we loved the variety I didn't have to add or change anything to the burger which is what I love and the homemade sauces are just so good especially the chilli jam! It's a tiny store but it suits I wouldn't recommend going with a group of people.. We had the Rockefeller and the brisket burgers.. ps please bring a store down to rosebud we will be waiting 😊
Have lived in the area for a while but was the first time I visited. Had the New York Burger, was huge, messy, juicy and flavoursome - a just how a burger should be. The beef patty itself was cooked well and sauce itself was delicious; chips were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Would definitely recommend.
I don't mind this place. I have been here a couple of times now. The serving is good and hamburgers tasty. Not my most favourite Hamburger joint but pretty good! I will keep going there.
Good burgers but the only issue I have is the tiny shop. A few seats but we had to get takeaway. I understand it keeps the rent down but it's a bit annoying. To be fair we came when it was busy. Next time I might come for a late lunch to enjoy their burgers.
Was so hungry that i couldn't be bothered taking any photos. It was satisfying although the bun were not to my taste. Visited this branch and the one in highpoint. Both were identically good

Great name and nice burgers. The only negative is that the shop is small, really small. So it's hard to find a seat. Came here a few times with the intention of eating in but had to take away instead. Still would come back because it's so good!
A good local burger joint. I live down the road, and been there about three times. The New Yorker is a favorite. Customer service can be a bit hit and miss, but otherwise worth the visit.
The New Jersey burger was so tasty but unfortunately my patty was just a little dry possibly just overcooked :(. The chips were super crunchy and tasted so good with the dipping sauce (i would come just for the chips). I would love to try this place again as it is close to home and i love cheeseburgers !!
The best Philly Cheese Steak!!! Fantastic friendly service, tasty burgers & fresh! Casual diner, great for a big selection of different burgers, the hard part is choosing one... Had half a chicken & half beef (can't remember the exact ones) but they were full of flavor & that worked well together. Tasted a bit of the Philly Cheese Steak & needed up having half, despite being so full already but there were so tasty that I couldn't resist. Chips & dipping sauce finished off the meal well.
As good as I remember it! Love the idea of the 'Mini' New York Burger as the portion sizes are now perfect. The chili mayo dipping sauce was delicious

A round of applause is in order for the team at New York Minute. Facing the New York, a burger of epic proportions in both size and taste was one of the most enjoyable things I have done in my culinary lifetime. When it was placed before me, it's proportion was intimidating. But those juicy, tender beef patties (yes, that is correct, plural), the warm, crisp burger buns and the innovative combination of their "special sauce" was the perfect treat for a cold and windy Thursday afternoon. The side of chips and a chocolate milkshake drunk out of a cute jar were only an added testament to the perfection this inconspicuous cafe cooked up. So perfect, it was a treat I will remember for a long time to come.
I got some burgers from here to eat while waiting for my partner to finish her haircut down the road.
We shared them and they were actually awesome! I really liked the chips we got too- they had good seasoning.
I got a New York and a Chilli Beef. I loved the pickles and the sauce in the New York and the Chilli Beef was actually really spicy! Definitely need to order a drink to go with that one next time.
I have had better burgers before but these were still really nice and enjoyable, as well as filling.
Looks like they also do milkshakes - will have to try one next time I visit.

New Your Minute is more of a take away place than sit down restaurant – apparently they are also franchising, with 4 locations to be open soon. I have to admit, I’m always sceptical of franchises – they seem to loose something in the quest to expand… Anyway, I put that aside and went in to order. I asked the young man behind the counter what their best burger was and he told me the New York burger – Which to be honest looks like a bit more than just an homage to that certain burger from the golden arches. Although at $12 – more than double the price. I ordered the New York, with a side of chips and a can of drink. After a little wait I got my take away box and I hurried back out to my car. I had to eat in the car as all the seats were taken and I was in a rush to get to the airport anyway – which is why my photo’s aren’t very good. Anyway, I was pretty keen to open up my white takeaway container and enjoy the contents. First impression and this was not a “pretty” burger. It was a big, ugly, man burger. Sauce and melted cheese going everywhere. It’s the kind of burger that means business. Eating this, you know you’re not get out of it without some on you by the end – it’s a messy affair that’s for sure. All I can say is – thank God they Teflon coat ties these days. Wipes right off and I don’t have to get it dry cleaned. Can’t say the same for my shirt though. It’s got a

Really worth a minute, great friendly service and great burgers. Time to try this burger joint! On arrival ( we had opted for take-away ) the shop is fairly small with very limited seating, we were greeted by the workers with a lot of Hi’s ... all seemed to be very friendly and the shop was very clean. At this point we struggled to know what to order as the menu items are on a wall, almost behind you when you’re at the counter, and some diners were covering part of the menu items as the chomped on their burgers. The menu items need to be moved or at least provide patrons with a selection list at the counter. The chips were great, we had four burger’s and all were pretty good (not standout) and rated high on quality and presentation. I had the pulled pork, lovely flavours but during the two minute trip home it became a flavoursome soggy burger! I suspect it waited too long for the chips to be prepared and as a result it sweated too much in the bag. Apart from that, keen to return and try another selection. I was told the Wagyu was great.
So impressive burgers here! We love Southern beef and chips!! Great taste and great service! Well done guys, will definitely come back again.
Best burgers in Melbourne!. Went to the New York Minute for the very first time back in 2013 and loved it instantly. Been back so many times since. The burgers are delicious, the chips are of great quality and customer service is second to none. Staff are always so welcoming and up for a chat, which makes this great store even better! Recommend this to anyone and everyone who loves burgers, you won't be disappointed!

LOVEEE!!!!. Came in the other day and ordered the satay chicken burger, it was absolutely amazing and tasted just as good as it looked! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and I would definitely recommend coming here! Will be coming back ASAP! :)
