What a fantastic place to go for breakfast or lunch or something in between. Saturday morning brunch with a mate and the atmosphere here is brilliant.

This place is fantastic! I just moved into new premises nearby and was expecting to have to go a little further afield for great food and good coffee, but this place is the bees knees. Excellent food, great variety - it really is a cut above most places you'd find even in a typical Melbourne cafe precinct.

A few weekends before stage three restrictions became a thing in Victoria, I did the unthinkable (at least so under current circumstances) and made the trek across town to Moorabbin to visit Tradesman Cafe for a taste of their new breakfast/brunch menu. Their new menu is a colourful and vibrant feed, highlighting an extensive range of dishes to suit everyone’s taste buds, each dish filled with quality ingredients and fresh flavours. With so many favourites on the menu, it was a tough call but I ultimately opted for their ancient grain salad with roasted pumpkin, with a side of crispy pan fried halloumi. The plethora of elements made for a beautifully balanced salad - plenty of textures and contrasting but complementary flavours that kept me going back for more. My dining companion tucked into the 12 hour braised spiced lamb benedict. The TLC shown to the lamb was evident in its juicy and tender texture, and the dish made for a tasty, brunchy take on a Sunday roast classic.

The red velvet pancakes were delicious! So fluffy and and complimented perfectly by the ice cream and chocolate cake/brownie. Definitely one to visit!

The Tradesman cafe is a calm oasis from all the hustle and bustle out on Wickham road and is a lovely presented space with greenery, wall art for sale and a large central communal table. The menu has recently been refreshed so we were keen to try out some of the new offerings
Today we ordered coffee and juice to start and then tasted a variety of dishes including the Dragonfruit hotcakes, the ancient grains salad, slow cooked lamb, the spinach ricotta gnocchi and the fish tacos.
Boy oh boy their hotcakes were delicious especially with the pour over rose syrup and the passionfruit ice cream. Rest assured the red velvet hotcakes are still on the menu and still as delicious as ever.
Also impressive was the flavours and tenderness of the slow cooked lamb. Served on a flatbread with tabouli and hummus it had all the ingredients for a perfect dish.
The fish tacos had plenty of juicy slaw and were super tasty to boot although I did see some fried chicken bao getting served to someone else and would very much like to try these next time we visit.
KD loved the vegetarian ricotta gnocchi dish which she samples quite a bit of. These came with a well soaked up burnt butter sage sauce and sitting in a ring of beetroot purée, a combination that combined very nicely.
Really enjoyed our time at The Tradesman cafe and well recommended if you are in the area. Thanks to Raman and the team for their hospitality.

I am happy to say that it is everything the reviews said! Food is to die for:) Just pick anything from the menu and it will just be perfect! Visited here several times (and will visit in future). The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed.Definite THUMBS UP!

Great place with a friendly staff. Felt so welcome the minute we walked in. The food was quick to come out and looked so gorgeously put together, the flavor was great. Best pancakes I’ve ever had... Will be coming back and recommend.
