Nice location right near the beach. Food was pretty good, but nothing outstanding.
Coffee was nice. Missus wanted hers in a take away cup which is what we always do. She likes it to stay hot and she usually keeps drinking it when we leave.
They said they don't do that, environment reasons. Which is fair enough, just odd. Should look into environment friendly cup options.
I had a beef brisket sandwich. Just wish it had more meat and the sour cream was on the sandwich and not on the side. Cheese was really good.
Missus enjoyed her dish.
We enjoyed the coffee, chai and eggs on toast, however the toast was a bit dry as no butter supplied. The eggs were poached perfectly and bacon serving was generous. One of my favorite places to ok visit in Mornington. Great vibe and pleasant staff.

Yummy food with fun atmosphere. So green!...in the best way. Loved the kitsch and transparency about gf options. We had gf carrot salad and calamari salad that were both very fresh.
Great cafe with a fun, quirky green theme, plenty of indoor seating and early popular with the locals. 5 of us enjoyed our meals, well presented and generous in size. Def adding this to our list of Mornington Pen faves
Had breakfast @ Lilo yesterday. Very Busy morning , but staff were super friendly and attentive.
I had the best French Toast I have EVER had. it was amazing, with lemon curd, crumb, jam & marsh mellow coated in pistachio. Just divine.
My only minor gripe is that only offered Low Gluten as opposed to Gluten Free and dont allow changes to the menu - which makes life hard for celias ( My Partner).
Having said that - I would not hesitate to return.
Went today for Sunday afternoon tea , read from former review some people thinks it's over priced, however I think it's not bad. Husband got the cappuccino in a mug , he said it was pretty good ,very satisfied with the coffee. I had the English breakfast tea with milk, which was good too .
I ordered a fruit loaf with banana jam and the matcha mascarpone. It's really pretty with the pansies, and taste creative and super healthy, which was good cause I was trying to cut down my sugar dose, but it wasn't that sweet as I imagine, so I allowed myself to add a spoon of sugar into my tea . (Oops, diet failed lol)
The loaf is healthy in a good way , taste good too, seems quite reasonable price for me . Located along the quiet , beautiful beach .
If you are looking for a get away tea time , LILO is a good choice. :)
Lovely little cafe! Perfect brunch spot away from the hustle and bustle of the Mornington Main Street. Good coffee! Service was a little slow but it was peak Sunday morning breakfast time so understandable.
Driven past this cafe many times and finally able to come for a lunch. The coffee was good. Sirlankan lamb shanks chickpeas curry was on special menu and it was absolutely delicious. Atmosphere was relax. Would come back.
I have been to lilo many times and I love it. The menu is great and they update it quiet regularly the smashed avo is so good with a very generous serving of avocado and yummy pumpkin jam to give it a little sweetness. My only negative is that the prices are pretty high. The smashed avo is $17 and u have to pay $3 to add one egg. It should at least have an egg already for $17.
A quirky and eclectic cafe with a view. Everything about the presentation of EVERYTHING was considered and arty. Had the corn fritters with a poached egg. It was sensational. Love the feel and decor and the service was brilliant. The green highlights make this really lovely. It's like stepping...
