Review A'fish - Mornington

Great food! Fish was crispy and not overly battered while the chips were hot and fluffy. The calamari rings were very tasty - soft and juicy on the inside although the scallops were a little on the drier side. Very nice setting, comfy booths and friendly staff.

Some of the healthiest tasting fish n chips I've had. The burger was amazing, definetly on the gourmet side of burgers. The chips looked oily and yuck, was a little disappointed when we got them home at a first glimpse but shouldn't have judged at face value. Nothing oily about them, light fluffy inside, crispy outside. Dim sims were high quality and larger than you get from most fish n chips shops. Definitely a step up from your standard fish n chips. Fish was also perfect.

Thoroughly enjoyed by all.. Had "A 'Healthy Chick (Naked Burger)" HUGEMUNGOUS serving, bursting with succulent flavours, hands down one of the BEST "naked burger" by far! (P.s- not so "healthy")

Best fish and chips. Happened to be in the area but would drive from McCrae to come eat here. Fresh salads, crunchy batter, crispy and fluffy chips, beat potato cakes! Hubby had the a'boss burger and he loved it.

A beautiful little establishment, clean and pristine. The customer service was excellent. A fish made you feel welcome and relaxed. I ordered the salmon with dates chips and salad. This dish was value for money. My mates dish looked just as scrumptious. I would recommend this cute little food bar

I went here with my wife and daughter for an evening meal as it was highly recommended. Alas this was not the case, we had ordered drinks and after waiting for half an hour we asked about them and they had forgot about them. When we were served our meals the fish was not very appetising and the chips were not fresh cut but more like frozen chips heated up. The vegetable salad was not fresh and had probably been there all day. The staff were all young kids and there was no adults supervising them. On the whole it was very disappointing and a complete waste of money, needless to say I won’t be back and will not recommend them to anyone.

I am not usually one to leave reviews but I felt it necessary given our last visit here. We had already had 2 bad experiences here (bad customer service, missing food from our order)But the food itself has always been nice so my family decided to give it on last try. We came in on Saturday night 14th September at around 6.30pm and was greeted by a young girl who was very polite and talked us through the various pack options- good start. Asked if we could come back in about 30minutes as had a few things to do and was told it wasn't a problem. When we came back there was quite a long line at the till so my husband and I went directly to the counter. Gave our name and asked if it was ready to which the girl cooking snapped back "yes I am just bagging it up." as she pretty much threw the burger box into the bag. The bag was then shoved towards my husband with no eye contact or anything. When we got home we found food had been missed off (for the third time.) Rang back and spoke to the girl who originally had served us who in fairness was very polite and apologetic and offered a refund but II told her not to bother as we wouldn't be back. Reading other reviews we certainly aren't the only ones who have had this problem. The restaurant has so much potential but is let down by poor customer service- which we experienced the previous 2 times we'd been in also from the lady who I assume is the manager or owner- and not enough attention to detail in assuring all food ordered is in the bag. Given the countless bad reviews its astonishing that the owner isn't trying to improve things. It's like she's happy watching her business crumble.

Fish, burgers and chips are great! Fish is so fresh! Salads can be a bit bland. When ordering on a Friday or Saturday night we’ve waited at least half an hour for food a few times and some items have been missed - check you’ve got everything before you leave!

I placed an online order during the Christmas period. My order was confirmed and payment was deducted from my bank account. But when I showed up to collect my order, a sign on the door said the shop would be closed until 2 January 2020. I’ve tried to arrange a refund of the amount that was deducted from my bank account multiple times, but have still not received this. I can’t comment on the food but the customer service experience for me has been pretty terrible.

I really like this fish and chip shop, it stands out to me as it's not just one of those standard order and takeaway. They have a little bit of class about the place whilst the menu has a few nice extras such as sweet potato chips or potato cakes.
