From the moment we discovered this little corner café, an awfully convenient, 5-10 minute WALK from our house, and saw its back-street, hidden, beach/park side location potential… we were excited. You see, we had always longed to move to a place that was within walking distance to a café. At one point during our real estate search, we even tried searching in relation to how close some houses were to nearby cafes. Our wish for good food, great coffee, and friendly/casual convo with café staff over stupid Melbourne weather, within walking distance from our ideal home, was a high priority.
Flock is a great cafe. It's my go to place for a wake up or pick me up coffee. The staff are switched on, the service is always friendly & the food is delicious. My favourite bites at the mo are the Breaky Roll, V.A.C (vegemite, tasty cheese & fresh avo on toasted grain toast) & Smashed Avocado & Chicken Po' boi. I'm working my way through their menu, so looking forward to trying the PB & J Crumpets & Chicken focaccia too. Flock welcomes kids & dogs as well, so it's a perfect place to bring the whole family.
Delicious commonfolk coffee! Had the breakie burger with a flat white and stoked with my breakfast. Great location right near the beach as well!
Amazing shakshula & bacon egg roll! Friendly service as always! Right near the beach without heading into Mornington or mount Martha! Love it
Blown away!. Why did it take me so long to get in here!? Coffee was made beautifully by a cute barista (bonus) and egg and bacon Jaffle with tomato relish was amazing! I hate tomato relish but this one was superb. We'll be back again guys, keep up the fantastic work!
Best coffee in Morno. What a great little asset Flock is to the Dava Drive shops. The staff are always very friendly, even going to the trouble of learning our names and our kids names too (which is rare elsewhere). They serve quality coffee & delicious food. Amy & her team are true professionals with a lot of energy & enthusiasm. We'll just keep going back for sure.
Where did this come from?. Visiting Nanna over the weekend, drove past this little place and curiosity got the better of me...
Ordered:
Espresso, long black, magic, the little guy and a jaffle.
(Nanna's cooking's not what it used to be (sorry Nan)).
Coffee was beautiful so I had to know where it was from. I was pleased to hear that Commonfolk (local roasters) were branching out and finding some places to offer their wares. The black coffee's were Costa Rican and the magic made with the blend with silky milk, latte art and perfect temperature.
Food was tasty and exceptional value.
Bacon and eggs done in two contrasting ways in a small almost makeshift kitchen, quite impressive!
Mt.Martha/Mornington you are very lucky to have this cafe in your backstreets where the flocks of tourists probably won't venture!
Enjoy
