This has quickly become my go-to sushi place! The ingredients they use are so fresh and you can definitely taste the difference. The service is great and the staff are friendly! Highly recommend!
I always go here for my sushi fix. It is fresh and tasty and probably the best sushi in the area. The service is always fast and friendly and I have never had a bad meal.
This place is one of the best sushi places in the St George area. Their ingredients are fresh and they portions were generous. They make your sushi for you on the spot. My favorites are the Otaru roll and their tempura is very crispy. Im here quite often.
Otaru Sushi is no doubt my new favourite Japanese sushi restaurant around the Hurstville region upon opening early 2017. The restaurant is a small, plain, modern takeaway shop with Japanese inspired decor. However, the food is everything but small and plain.
The sushi was extremely fresh and prepared on the spot and very reasonably priced. Not only did they provide great food, the service was also exceptionally pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful when asked for recommendations so be sure to ask the cashier for the most popular menu items! My personal recommendations are the volcano roll if you're looking for something spicy or the salmon avocado hand-roll during the lunch special hours as a bang for your buck. I would highly recommend Otaru Sushi to anybody and I can't wait to head back to this place!

This place is the only place my family visit to buy sushi/sashimi etc- fresher than sushi trains. Wonderful Korean fried chicken and ramen. Our extended family travel over an hour to see us to order their food. Ive even made special requests when pregnant and there have been no issues. I also have quite a few allergies to preservatives, food additives and MSG and have NEVER got ill (I have however at other very expensive & exclusive Ramen Japanese style restaurants).
No, it's not the cheapest - that's what you get for better quality - even so, not so much more than other places.
Yes, they're very friendly and always make time to speak to us and our daughter. I imagine anybody else's experience that was any less would reflect on how they themselves were speaking to others.
Yes, they get busy and sometimes & it's a quick hello/goodbye- bt logically, reason being that they get so busy with all their orders...is because they're so popular making FRESH food that clearly they take much pride in.
The menu is very clear (I can't imagine why anyone would struggle). However I've not had a problem asking for changes, so they're happy to help.
If we ever move we'll continue making the trip here, thank you for amazing food on our doorstep.
This place is my go to sushi places near Hurstville. It’s fresh and always made perfectly all the time. I ordered the yakitori sticks, yaki udon and salmon lover platter box for dinner with the fam and it was beautiful. The sushi was extremely fresh and reasonably priced which is why my family orders here every Friday. Never had a bad meal here
