One of the best zoo’s I’ve visited over the years! The timing of our trip was perfect! When a koala bear sleeps 20 hours a day, how lucky can you get when you can see the Koala climbing the tree. I’m additional, all of the animals were lively and actively moving around in their environment. The animal exhibits were very close, making it easier to see the animals. If you make the trip, take the bus to the zoo and return back to the city via ferry for the scenic views of the bridge and opera house.

Incredible spot overlooking the harbour. Booked in advance, scanned QR code on entry. Very easy and waiting time was not too long. Easily navigable zoo, with plenty of interesting enclosures. Lots of kids (as you would expect) but plenty of ways to avoid the crowds when you can. Not too hilly or difficult to get around. Food options very limited, but easy to go through the park in 2-3 hours, and hop on the ferry back to Circular Quay for other food options.

An amazing day spent with my 3 teenage girls around the park. During Covid times, we are encouraged to book tickets online. We used Dine & discover voucher to enter. The parking was a flat rate. Using a car is cheaper when you are a group of more than 4. The park is for all ages.. The seal show was amazing and very informative.. It took us around 4 hours to go all around. It is good to go as early as 10 and take 6 hours not to rush.. I think it is a great zoo with a great team of workers spread all over the place to make the visit memorable. It is important to wear comfortable shoes due to the amount of walking to be done.

A great day out for young and old, singles or groups. So many animals to see and enclosures offer great viewing opportunities. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The views of Sydney are spectacular too. So lucky to have this on offer so close to the heart of Sydney. Highly recommend a day out here!

Great day at the zoo without being at home. Lots to see and extremely interesting live shows. Recommend downloading the app to plan what time the shots are on. We took the bus from the city as it stops at the main entrance at the highest point of the zoo and made our way slowly downhill to the ferry. Saved our energy for the walk around the zoo. Highly recommend.

For sure one of the best zoos around. I would recommend a ferry ride from Circular Quay to get to the zoo. There are fantastic views of the harbour, Opera House and Harbour Bridge on the way. A cable car takes you to the entrance of the zoo. The alternative is a shuttle bus from the ferry wharf. 3 to 4 hours is sufficient to cover the entire grounds, including a snack or quick meal break. Families with younger kids should probably spare a bit more time.

So many aspects to this zoo now so allow a FULL day to enjoy it all! First up we enjoyed the skycar ride down and up again to gain aerial views of the zoo plus those wonderful Sydney Harbour views. Seal Show at 11 am is wonderful, followed by the Bird Show at Noon with spectacular views of Sydney Harbour, city and bridge etc in the background. Seeing the tigers and the gorillas was a big highlight too. Amazing bird aviaries, animals of all sorts and three cafes all add up to a fascinating day out with much exercise done walking up and down the many pathways.

We love having the round trips cable car ride! No wonder it always has a long line! You can see the beautiful view of city and you can see the elephant too. Make sure get yourself a comfy shoes as it's a big zoo to explore!! We decided to purchase the Zoo Friends annual membership as it comes with many benefits!!
