One of the best fish and chips I’ve had,awesome staff , lad behind the counter even made us a little deep fried treat, highly recommend to everyone!
Delicious, great value, fish & chips (I recommend lemon & pepper grilled). Super friendly service.... they even ran next door to the burger store and borrowed a high chair for our baby to use!
A huge improvement in quality over the past year! Generous portions of chips that are rarely oily, quick service and now on several delivery platforms.

I visited this fish and chips shop on a Friday night. They offer a $10 fish and chip special which is a huge portion of chips and the piece of fish is very big – definitely enough for 1 person. The lady on the till was friendly and efficient. The boys behind, cooking, were also super efficient and our order was quick served even though it was quite packed. I am super fussy on battered fish however, the batter was tasty, not soggy and not too thick. The chips was fresh. They also sell little condiments which I think was a great extra touch. Will definitely be back here again and would definitely recommend :)
Good sized serving, nice tasty fish, well cooked chips and friendly service. Will be happy to come back again and enjoy sitting in the laneway.
To be honest I'm a very fussy vegetarian and to find a fish and chip shop that has so many choices for me is a miracle!! I love the crumbed feta, veggie nuggets, sweet potatoe scallops and so much more (grilled fish a favourite wih the hubby). We are a family of 6 and eating out is expensive, but at Mt Hawthorn Fish N Chips it's prices are reasonable and portions large. We are very happy frequent customers! Kudos to this spot for being open Good Friday! Service was quick and our meals were ready without much of a wait. Servings are huge! The fish portions were massive and chips were equally generous. Fish was lovely and juicy but batter was a tad oily. Chips were nice and not over salted so you could add more if you wanted. Well priced and the added bonus of no public holiday surcharge either. Good find!
My two girls had two friends over and they all decided they'd like some fish and chips for lunch, so we ventured up to the Mezz. The girls walked ahead, and by the time I walked into the shop, one of the ladies had given them all cups of water from the water cooler. For all she knew they were just random kids walking past, so that was very kind. I decided to order two serves of fish and chips plus $2 extra chips. The lady asked if I would like the fish cut into smaller portions so they'd be easy to eat which sounded good. Our order consisted of two big white paper bags and when I opened them there were 16 almost palm-sized bits of fish and an insane quantity of chips. All this for $21. It actually did 4 kids for lunch and then the girls plus my sister for dinner. I didn't try the fish as I can't eat gluten, but the batter looked a tad heavy. My sister did keep commenting about how nice the fish was though. A very good, very cheap feed.
Suddenly decided I needed a feed of fish and chips but had not had a lot of luck in my area. So I opened Zomato and found this place. Read a few reviews and all seemed well. Fish size was generous, lightly battered and beautifully cooked. The chips were a fair portion and certainly enough for one. I arrived 15 minutes before closing and there were no issues getting my small order made and the service was friendly....highly recommended and will definitely go back again when I feel the need for a feed.
Beautiful! So crunchy , light & dry. Ask for extra crunchy they are amazing. Love it & extra awesum that its my local..dunno why I haven't been coming here for yrs, just thought we'd try it recently & Im very glad we did. Delicious! can't wait for the next craving :)
Best Fish and Chips in Perth!!! 5 Star. I started going here when I lived locally, and had no need to try elsewhere, it's the best. Since moving to Scarborough I've tried lots of other places trying to find somewhere close to home or work and none stack up, nothing comes close to how good this place is. Always fresh, cooked to perfection every time, big servings and CHEAP!
