My wife and I had dinner at Divido Restaurant last night, 14th, April, 2018. We were last there many years ago, I think in 2010. I have forgotten about Mount Hawthorn as a nice restaurant strip until my wife reminded me of how much I enjoyed the wood-fired half duck so many years ago. I ordered the duck again and it was as good as 8 years ago. My wife's Osso Bucco was good but slightly too salty and the meat should be a bit more tender. The cheese board was worth ordering, as the Gorgonzola, and Italian version of the famous English Stilton was a delight. Highly recommended for fine dinning. Oh by the way, the bottle of Rolf Binder Shiraz was exquisite.
The food was really very good and the service was good. I liked that g/f was clearly marked & plenty of options.
It was odd that the my only had 3 tables in on a Saturday night, though.
Ive been to Dividos several times now and every time the food has been exceptional! Absolutely delicious! The staff are always friendly and its very reasonably priced too.
Another wonderful degustation with matching wines.
Lovely intimate surroundings and friendly staff.
Nice and quiet mid week so we had our pick of tables
this is a lovely restaurant, amazing pannacotta and donuts, great service and ambiance. was quite empty, maybe reflecting the difficult financial times currently.
We had dinner at Divido on Wednesday night and enjoyed their 2 course special for $39.50. We decided to share our starter Calamari. Our choice of main was beef cheek and lamb shank and for dessert it was Zuppa. All the food was lovely, We loved that immensely. It was great value for money. Service was also excellent.
We will be back for sure.
This is an unassuming place that isn't bad for a suburban restaurant!
The food was lovely and well presented.
We were a group of 8 and we were well accommodated.
We had the degustation as we thought it covered a great variety of different foods that we would not normally try. You can tell the chef is passionate in fresh produce and fine Italian cuisine. The food tasted like it was made with love and care and the service was wonderful too.
Dined last night and enjoyed the $60 three course special.
The entrees of calamari and quail were both very good.
The slow roasted lamb shoulder for two was silky and tender, cooked to perfection (and a very generous size), sides were shaved fennel salad and potato parmigiana (a potato gratin with a parmesan crust).
The Zolo Malbec was a perfect match, an excellent choice by me.
Desserts were very enjoyable, Croatian donuts and panna cotta.
Service was friendly and attentive.
As Mt Hawthorn locals, Divido is always a favourite when we're seeking something a bit 'special' locally, or when visitors come from interstate and we don't want to venture too far. As previous attendees to Divido, Mum & Dad visiting from Adelaide requested that we go there on a wet Monday evening before they left for home - and again it did not disappoint... All of us took advantage of the excellent value $69 for 3 x courses + champagne menu; The food was fantastic - we all had the calamari for entrée - and it was delicious!Mains across the table consisted of Duck, Pork Belly and Steak, and all met expectations - the ONLY possible improvement could have been resting the steak for slightly longer, but it was juicy, tender and tasty! Desserts and coffee also hit the spot at the end of the meal... Service was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing - which could have been a trap on a quiet, cold Monday evening - but our waiter was excellent and made every effort to engage with us and make sure that our dinner was enjoyable. Will definitely keep coming back, and hope that many more locals and not-so-locals continue to support this great value for money eatery - would hate to see it disappear from the Mt Hawthorn area... It's not the poshest place in Perth - but fills a nice gap in the market - somewhere between fine-dining and casual dining - which is just where we like it :) You can tell that the new team are making the effort to provide a great experience - which we all appreciated - it's nice to not have attitude served with your food, which can often be the case in many Perth restaurants. Continue to support local business folks!
We have been at least 8 times and we love it. The lamb shoulder is the best lamb in Perth and incredibly reasonable. All of the mains are tasty and generous that we've had. My only suggestion is that the dessert menu is slightly less exciting than the OUTSTANDING MAINS. Please visit them and enjoy the great hospitality. Make sure you book on Friday and Saturdays as we have missed out as a walk in.
Very helpful staff, there when you need them but not fussing over you when not required. The food was excellent, I have never had beef carpaccio like it before. The potato gnocchi were a real surprise, light and fluffy rather than the usual little stodge-balls that you get served in white sauce! Crab tagliatelle was perfect. All in all a great night out, good for a treat but not something I would be able to afford every week. Worth every penny though.
The best wood fired lamb shoulder in town. Value for money is amazing. If this restaurant was in the City or Crown they could charge double for their menu.....
The service is second to none.... the two owners cook & serve so they totally understand what people expect when going into a restaurant for an evening meal.
Truly one of Mount Hawthorn's hidden secrets !!
I referred several family & friends to the restaurant who have told me the Barramundi is amazing...... 5 Star Restaurant at affordable pricing xxx
The food us consistently well prepared and excellent. Their weekday meals specials are good. We love the option of being able to BYO for a nice bottle of wine
