Delicious food and friendly staff! The portions are large and are a great value for the money. We loved that all of the options were vegetation and there were so many to choose from!
This place is small. We were a group of eight. They had to pull tables together to fit us.
Anyways, food was yummy. Freshly made breads were served piping hot! We ordered lots as the servings weren’t that much. Will definitely though.
Just finished dinning at this place. Enjoyed aloo tiki and papri chat for starters. For mains we ordered rajma, jackfruit dish and palak kofta along with gluten free bread and rice. We really enjoyed every dish. Service is also very friendly. Will be back.
This is a great vegetarian restaurant. The staff are friendly and can really help customise for any dietary requirements (but best if you ring a day ahead if you have specific needs). They can also cater for no onion and no garlic. The food has always been consistent and very tasty.
I have mixed reviews about this restaurant. It is located in the middle of a residential suburb where you see less crowd and less pollution. You can call it as a hidden gem.
They usually close for about a month in an year, so always call and check if they are open. As it is not located near busy streets, parking is accessible and you always get one, possibly always opposite to the restaurant. The staff extends their hearty welcome. It is a small place and can accommodate only 16 customers at once. So always call and book your table prior. Seatings are comfortable with a touch of light relaxing music
We ordered Bombay chaat called Bhel Puri, felt like it was marinated in jaggery and was very sweet.
When we ordered the main course, looking at the price we assumed that we will get food in abundance, but it was all false hope. We had to repeat the order THRICE just to have a feel of the foods taste. Quantity is VERY VERY less and definitely not proportionate to the price. Staff take time and interest in explaining the ingredients of the food contents. I felt like this Indian restaurant is targeted ONLY to attract non-Indian crowd so that they can get the hang of Indian food. Taste could also have been better and Indian flavors were missing in food.
A lovely family-run restaurant which offers delicious food for a more than reasonable price. The portions are really generous. You should definitely try the palak paneer and samosas ❤
Love this place! Run by a small family, very homely feeling (because it is literally at the back/front of their own house). The dad of the family is very warm and welcoming and is a great host every time my family visit. They are my place to go when I'm craving good vegetarian food. Cannot go past some good old Chole Bhature (ask for it, go on!)
Great Indian vegetarian/vegan restaurant in suburban Melbourne. Friendly service and amazing food. Would definitely recommend and I will return.

A great little Indian restaurant tucked away in suburbia. The resturant is very small and run by a very friendly family, particularly the son who is the main waiter there. It definitely isn't the most classy resturant, but is neat, clean and casual.
The food is generally great and we've probably tried about a third of the menu now without any real disappointments - definitely try the onion bhaji if you go, that's a must for us.
The menu is all vegetarian and most of the dishes can be done vegan - the also cater for jain and other dietary requirements.
Best indian ever. I ate here about two weeks ago, and I am still trying to find an excuse to go back! As a vegan, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they could easily cater for me. The food was fresh and tasty, and the heat was exactly what we asked for. Highly recommended!
A very nice Indian restaurant serving vegetarian, vegan, no onion, gluten free, jain .... as per customer's dietary needs. Good service and tasty food. Lots of parking nearby. Thanks
We regularly order from Sampoorna and Absolutely love it. Pani puri is delicious as are the curries cooked lovingly by a husband and wife team.
A warm welcome by beautiful people.
This is a must visit restaurant if your in Melbourne looking for pure vegetarian Indian food. Located in the suburb of Mount Waverly and away from the noisy city street, this place offers great Indian vegetarian cuisine at very affordable prices. This restaurant has won many awards for it's hygeine, cleanliness and taste including The Shop of the Year in the city of Whitehorse's food hygeine Assessment Award. The hospitality is great as well and mostly importantly they offer food of great taste which reminded me of true Indian flavours. I tried Gobi Manchurian and it was finger licking amongst others. Their self made Mango Lassi and Mango ice cream were sumptuous.. Everyone else with me were very happy with the food they ordered and we we're fully satisfied. I strongly suggest to visit this place at least once and trust me you will be regular here.
If you want to taste what a typical Indian family eats at home, visit Sampoorna vegetarian restaurant. Unlike commercial kitchens, this place cooks food fresh and therefore it tastes really good.
Since the restaurant is run by a family, and is not a usual kitchen, you are expected to self serve your own cutlery, water etc. Only the food gets served on the table.
I longed for a little more quantity, which is something that the restaurant can improve on. A single dish is barely enough for two people. Although you may find the prices at par of marginally higher than other Indian restaurants.
Parking is available right in front of the restaurant. Advance booking is recommended.
Overall, loved the food and would expect the restaurant to consider quantity part of the food.
