We recently had our wedding here and we could not be happier with how everything went! Through the entire process, including 3 postponements, Anna and the team were amazing, patient & supportive. The day & night itself ran so smoothly, it was a beautiful setting for both ceremony and reception, we had the best time and got lots of comments about how great the staff & food were. We stayed for a whole week at the Casa Amore, which is meant for a family. Had enough room to sleep my whole family of 6. It was pretty clean and they had a dehumidifier running all the time, which had to be emptied everyday. It was nothing like the bad reviews we had read previously. Considering its amongst trees and it was raining a fair bit, there was little to no mold anywhere. It did have that smell though, but after being in for awhile you get used to it. The kitchen is very small and all you have for cooking is a microwave. That was a little disappointing as its either takeaway or frozen meals. We made it work however. The fridge is also very small, I guess the place is only meant for a few nights, not a whole week. There is the "barn" however where you can get a meal, but seemed mostly open for breakfast and lunches. When we arrived there was no one at reception, but there was a sign saying our keys were in our door. A few times we called and went to reception but there was no one ever there, until the day we left. The cleaners were very friendly though. My wife and I had a spa every night with hot water, the kids also had showers, but we limited them to 3-4 minutes each. We never once ran out of hot water though, which I saw a few complaints about. Walking around the area was nice, you see some bush turkeys and other animals. A gentleman who was at "The Barn" gave us some bird seed and the kids fed the chickens they have in a pen there. A small gesture but the kids loved it. The tv has a android stick attached, I can't remember if it was a firestick or something else. So it comes with Netflix, YouTube and a bunch of other services. A family had forgotten to log out of Netflix, so we used there's without setting up ours and also forgetting to log off. They will wonder why they have so many different shows watched now. The WIFI is sufficient, they use google nest. We got just under 10mbps in the building, which with 6 in the place using it all at once can be a bit of an issue but they all managed to survive. The place also has 2 reverse cycle air conditioners, one in the loungeroom and one in the master bedroom. Since the inside walls don't reach up to the roof, plenty of space for the warmth to move about on the cold nights we had. Beds were comfortable and one of my boys slept on the couch and they were fine as well. There is only 3 spaces for eating by the large glass windows and while the view is beautiful, not enough space for the whole family. There is a note saying you can eat wherever you like however. One early evening when we arrived home there were 2 huntsman spiders that were inside, which freaks the hell out of my wife. I removed them and we never saw them again, or other critters. Overall, we had a great time there. Lack of office staff was a bit disappointing but the friendly cleaners help make the staff look better. Walks were nice also and its just a lovely atmosphere with all the trees and wildlife.
