I feel like I've been on a mission to find Melbourne's best sausage rolls, so I have been visiting lots of bakeries, big and small, around Melbourne. Three Little Baker's was on my bucket list as I have a fondness for family run businesses, as you can sometimes taste the love in the cooking. As expected, this bakery is small with an abundance of delicious fresh breads, cakes and pastries. I could feel my waist expanding just scanning the room. We were served by a lovely lady and the service was great.
Along with the obligatory sausage roll, we also had a vanilla slice and an apple pastry. The sausage roll was so delicious, with beautiful puff pastry and an aromatic tasty filling. The apple pastry was sweet and flaky, with a nice hint of cinnamon. The vanilla slice was thinner than most, but the pastry was amazing and the vanilla custard was creamy and delicious.
I would definitely stop into Three Little Baker's again if I was passing by, just to try more of their yummy treats and breads.
Visited this charming little bakery to find genuine old fashioned home made cakes. The custard tarts, cream lamingtons and vanilla slices were delicious. Will be going back to try more of their delights. They had creamed passionfruit sponges for $9 old fashioned Boston buns $4 the cakes were around $3. Great bread too. The baker who served us was such a pleasant guy so friendly and helpful. Nice bright atmosphere and a couple of tables if you want to have a coffee or snack. Definitely will be back.
What an absolutely charming little bakery! The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and the pies are incredible! I always make sure to get a beef and pepper pie and a custard doughnut to follow when I'm in the area. The food is always super fresh and a great place to grab a bite for a great price.
