Headed into the hills for lunch and after finding the place we were originally going to was closed so we headed back to harvest mylor. I’m so glad the other place was closed as I have found a new favourite! Love the big leafy trees, quirky furniture and the overall homey feel of this place. There’s a drink menu but the food menu is on butcher paper on the wall, guessing they change it up a lot. Small menu but what we had was amazing. My friend had a New Yorker sandwich and I had sweet potato hash with chorizo. The sandwich was huge! So much tasty corned beef. The rye bread unfortunately couldn’t hold up to all that filling falling apart making it a fork and knife sandwich. Guessing the bread was gluten free. Still tasty all the same. The sweet potato hash had kimchi and a massive chorizo sausage and it was so good and filling. The milkshakes were the standout. So yummy. I had the peanut butter and chocolate with big chunks of peanut butter in it. They also have some pastries which looked great but we were so full. Will be back soon.
It was a crisp, sunny winter day so we headed to the Adelaide Hills for a drive. Needing coffee we stopped in at Harvest Mylor Cafe. The kitchen had closed but coffee and cakes were still on offer. The coffee was excellent, as was the chocolate hazelnut croissant and the gluten free lemon and almond cake that we shared. There are also locally made loaves of bread to takeaway with you.
Such friendly people and the food is always the best cafe food in the Adelaide Hills! Although since the owner is no longer cooking the meals, the standard of the dishes has definitely changed. Will always come back to this place though!
Wholly s$&t, just got a take away brioche roll. Hands down best roll ever.
Coffee also amaaaaaaazing.
Will be back very soon to enjoy the realaxing scenery
Just came by this place on the way back down the hill. Absolutely incredible. My new favorite. Amazing food, location and service. Will be back again and again!!
The Harvest Mylor is situated opposite the Mylor Sports Oval. 240 Strathalbyn Rd, Mylor. The cafe is set back behind some nice established trees, inside there are a number of rooms available for dining. Being a warm late spring day, we found a good table in the shade, under the canopy of trees. The menu is quite comprehensive for breakfast and lunch, with cakes, croissants, freshly baked sourdough bread. We finished off our relaxing brunch with a very good coffee. We found the service was excellent and friendly, even though, being lunch time with a large crowd of customers. A very satisfactory stop in the Adelaide Hills.
Gorgeous location, venue and food!
The staff were very friendly, and I especially loved that they offered to make a rice milk babyccino for the toddler whom is allergic to dairy and nuts.
Food options are unique and filling. They also have wonderful sourdough bread and raw cakes available for takeaway.
Love this place. The setting is gorgeous, the service is relaxed and friendly. The decor is homely, rustic, rugs on chairs. The menu is creative, the ingredients are natural, the presentation and flavours are wonderful. The coffee is a mild but rich flavour and the coffee art is detailed.
Can't Be Bothered To Cook

A Hills gem! Great fresh produce used interestingly; friendly and knowledgeable staff and god wine and coffee. Delightful place and sitting under the trees with a good cup of coffee or a nice glass of wine is hard to beat.
I came here a few saturdays ago and had waffles!
The staff were nice, not too in your face but still helpful and attentive.
We had waffles and played scrabble - the atmosphere is great.
I will definitely be back!
I love Harvest !
This has become my favourite cafe in the Adelaide hills ..by far. Harvest is an oasis in summer and a welcoming warm haven in winter. A gorgeous leafy outside area in the warmer months and a lovely rustic interior for our cooler times. And the (equal) best thing in these idyllic surroundings is the superb coffee and food. I'm no culinary expert but I do know what I like and I like very much my traditional poached eggs and crispy bacon with a flat white. Perfect ! Of course there is so much more for sophisticated tastes, local home grown and hand made organic, gluten-free goodies. Smoothies, desserts and wine. Yes it is licensed too.
The other (equal) best thing is the wonderful attentive smiling staff. They are so efficient and friendly it's hard to believe what pressure they are under during busy times. Take a bow girls !
I love Harvest.
Harvest is getting so busy and I love it, i'm happy to sip my peppermint tea while we wait. The food is wonderful in a beautiful setting. Outside in summer is glorious under the big oak trees and in winter they have cosy knitted blankets and an open fireplace to keep you warm. I get the green breakfast bowl every time. Quinoa, field mushrooms, avocado, spinach, pesto and dukkah. I asked today if it's popular because I would hate to see it leave the menu. I was assured it's a vegan fave and not going anywhere soon! The cakes... Harvest what are you doing to me?! I don't eat sugar much at all, I did come home with a lemon curd lamington and banana bread today and I will enjoy every bite. If you are the type that gets angry about waiting leave your sass at home. Enjoy the serenity and consistently good food, that's what's important to me anyway.
Considering the very mixed reviews, I was unsure what to really expect of Harvest Mylor Cafe. Needing some hills air and inspiration, we headed up to Mylor, arriving a bit after open time. It was packed, we were waiting in line behind a sports team of 10 or so, and there was already a booked table of at least a dozen waiting for food! But, despite the snail paced service, the freshly baked food on display looked delicious and the warm homely vibe made us want to stay. We didn't wait an extraordinary time for our breakfast so that was a surprise, and we were both happy with the standard breakfast meals we'd ordered, the equivalent to a "big brekky". Coffee was also quite a nice blend. I think the most disappointing part was the cost, as it was a standard meal, no bells and whistles. This alone doesn't make me want to go back. But if you're going to try it out I'd definitely recommend booking for a table!
One of our favourites. Really surprised to see some of these reviews, as hard-to-please foodies we recommend Harvest all the time. Have never had a problem with service or quality of food and this is our first stop when entertaining interstate guests. At peak times, we sit happily with our great coffee in the sunshine - not expecting our food to arrive at lightning speed - and enjoying the beautiful Adelaide Hills. If you're in a rush, maybe give it a miss on the weekend, but if great food, friendly service and a beautiful setting are at the top of your list then this is the place.
Love it!. Great place for a cycle stop - awesome coffees. Burgers are tasty and a good size. Highly recommend.
Can only criticize the seats :-). Food great. Service great. Seats... so uncomfortable for outdoor dining. Otherwise a 9 out of 10 cafe. Beautiful setting too and worth a long drive if you're not local.
Seriously do yourself a favour and have breakfast here! Great gourmet food that knocks your tast buds for 6! :)
This cafe is truly fantastic. Went there for a late lunch and had the corn cakes and soy cappuccino. The coffee was really good, rich & creamy. I seldom experience that kind of texture with my soy coffees. Corn cakes came with a fried egg on top and tomato salsa on the side. It was divine. The ambience was warm and cosy. Highly recommend this cafe for a lazy Saturday afternoon.
First time here. Service was great. Bacon & Egg Burger is the best I've had in the Adelaide Hills. Absolutely superb! Coffee was excellent. Great place for a lazy Sunday breakfast with family & friends.
Cosy and warm!. We went for breakfast and there were so many delicious sounding options, many with Mylor sourdough which is made in the bakery behind.
The harvest-made baked beans were really great, lots of rich spices and perfect for a cold morning.
The door-stops with tomato/pesto/ham also on out table looked filling and the coffee was really well made, perfect strength.
The owner is really lovely and made the place feel warm and welcoming.
A great local treat.
Delicious food and fantastic service. I visited the Mylor Harvest Cafe for the first time on Sunday for a late lunch. The all day breakfast almost won me over, but then I saw the lunch menu - corn + polenta fritters with bacon + mayple syrup - and quickly changed my mind. The fritters were AMAZING! My partner had a beef pie floater which he happily devoured. The coffee was also delicious and the white choc + raspberry muffin we shared for dessert (served warm ) was a winner. The staff were all lovely and made us feel very welcome (they even offered us a blanket as we were sitting outside in the cool winter air). I will definitely come back again as the location, food and staff were all fantastic. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!
Needs more dinner nights!. We're mainly dinner-eaters, not lunchers so it's been quite the disappointing tease that such a great cafe is within walking distance but generally closed when we want to go there (i.e. closed all nights other than Friday)! When we have been able to get there on a Friday, we've enjoyed their pizza night thoroughly. We've found the service to be excellent and the surroundings fairly pleasant - with basic decor nicely augmented with local art and craft - unless someone's kids are allowed to run rampant. The wine list is well representative of the area and the food (from a quite limited menu) very yum indeed. We'd go a lot more often if it was open! Recommended 7/10
