So, I have a pretty good list of my top 10 burgers in Australia, and this one is a solid 8. The cheeseburger is a hearty serve of meat, cheese, sauces and pickles, which complement their range of chips wonderfully. The shoestring-style of fries aren't my favourite, but their sweet potato option makes up for it in choice (as a side-note, those sweet potato fries are pretty good, too). I'd definitely recommend the german ketchup, as it has a unique flavour you don't normally get from tomato sauce, and their milkshakes are made old-school style in those metal cups. While this particular restaurant is a bit out of my way, the prices are fairly standard for burger joints in Perth these days, and with the addition of local fish and chips I feel like this place will quickly become a local favourite. For value, go for the chip bowl, which comes with two sauces and can easily cover 2-3 people. Their unique optional extras, such as sauerkraut, are also worth exploring.
With the seemingly endless array of gourmet burger joints around Perth, burgermeister doesn't quite stand out in the crowd, however they do deliver a pretty tasty (and reasonably priced) classic cheeseburger and a decent chicken burger. Great when you're looking for a quick bite on the go and you're in the area, otherwise I personally wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
Excellent hotdog. I ordered the "double frank" and everything about it was delicious.
In terms of the venue - great ambience, trendy wall art and pleasant music.
