My family and I did some research before going to The Depot for Sunday breakfast and boy did our perception totally exceed our expectations. Our waiter Julia was amazing, not long after we sat down she had our daughters colouring-in and busy. To match the service the food and drinks were great! Would recommend The Depot to anyone looking for a great breakfast in a busy place with attractive staff.

We were up from Canberra and came in for breakfast. We started with coffee which was perfect. My son ordered the ricotta pancakes which were fluffy and just amazing. My daughter had the breakfast Bruscetta which was tasty. My mum shared her big breakfast with a friend as all the servInga were huge. I think the highlight was the Nutella Freak Shake. The nutella donut on top was warm and just amazing. We couldn't finish it and we only ordered the regular size! The wait for food was quick and the staff friendly and efficient. They allowed us to split the bill which made it easy. It has a great atmosphere and was definitely worth the stop! We will be back next time we are in Newcastle!

I think the Depot is a great place well I should too as I have spent over $10,000 there since it opened and its nice to feel appreciated there with the little thoughtful gestures they offer. I do have foreign visitors and business folk and its good to see the staff are hand picked in as much as they don't appear to have strong views on any issue which is a worry in some places. I admire how the staff pick up their meals and scurry to a discrete spot when people come in as some places are not that mindful and you would think you are eating in the staff cafeteria. I cant finish without mentioning how pleased I am at the fuss taken over that lonely old man the staff esp the young females take in paying him attention. Top place oh I cant forget thinking about how easy going Milly is as I can imagine her being a asset on a diplomatic mission as she is easy going and lets things slip by and not blink a eye
