Review Sprout Dining - Newcastle

I organised my sister in laws hens party with Sprout dining. Having the whole function space to ourselves with a cocktail on arrival. The food was exceptional and the staff were so amazing with all their help setting up for this special day. I would highly recommend Sprout Dining to anyone!!!

Never have I ever had such a lovely meal with such a heightened level of customer service. The team at Sprout gave me the dining experience of a lifetime, the gnocchi is to die for! The waiters and waitresses were prompt, efficient and friendly with their service and the food, as I said, was amazing! The cocktail I had, the Marajuca, was amazing to say the least. My friends were impressed with the selection of wine and beers also. This is my, and my friends', new favourite place to eat in Newcastle, I'll most definitely be going back!

Great food, good cocktails. Don't come here with a large group because the restaurant can't cope, even if you have booked. Really slow service and it gets frustrating annoying being ignored all night. Seems like it would be good for 2-4 people otherwise. Reasonably priced.

Enjoyed dinner here again , the Menu has great variety and is filled with delicious freshly prepared food. The starters are exciting and well priced, the variety of the mains is excellent, I highly recommend the Lamb Rump, the sauce is to die for. The staff are friendly and efficient. Wine list is well thought out and features a good selection of local Australian Wines.

Sprout is warm and inviting yet sophisticated and that goes for both the staff and the atmosphere. Iv visited on several occasions and am yet to find a fault. I would recommend the Lamb above anything else. The menu varies from week to week, clearly catering to seasonal foods. The chef's are incredibly accommodating when it comes to dietary requirements even if they are slightly obscure. The acoustic aren't great when it comes to large groups in the evening. I would save larger numbers for lunch in less of the peak time and smaller tables for dinner. All in all it is one of the best restaurants in Newcastle! Seriously try the Lamb. ... And the ox tail for an entree

Disappointing! It's several years since I dined at Sprout when it was at Honeysuckle which was an excellent experience on all levels Unfortunately this is not the case for the new location. Saturday night very noisy, at a table of 6 I was at one end of the table and could not hold a conversation with the people at the other end of the table. My soup came to the table stone cold. Everyone commented at the table that the mains could have been warmer. The deserts where excellent and overall the food was very good. The service was prompt but indifferent. So overall disappointing compared to previous experiences at Honeysuckle.

Sprout is the best. Such an awesome secret spot for cocktails, dinner ,wine & dessert . We did the whole lot tonight & throughly enjoyed every bit . I had loved them when they were at Honeysuckle & am so happy to discover them again here upstairs at the Crown & Anchor Hotel . Great value, amazing quality . Caught up with a mate for dinner and all I can say is WOW! Food was excellent, especially the dessert. Great atmosphere, impeccable service, good wine and whiskey selection. Thank you to the owners and team for a wonderful evening.

Seriously scrumptious dinner tonight for date night! Zucchini Flowers, Chicken Gallotine, Lamb Rump & Confit Duck special... Every bite was to die for and worth every cent. Fabulous food, beautiful space and lovely staff & service. If you haven’t been yet, you absolutely won’t be disappointed �

My husband and I had an amazing dinner at Sprout. The service was 5 star and the food was second to none. The wine was perfect for the meal thanks to our fabulous server, Hanah. This restaurant is excellent for everything from casual dining to very special occasions.

Enjoyed lunch at Sprout today. The veal was amazing but the desserts were to die for. Staff were fantastic. Thanks guys we will be back soon.

Today we had arranged to have Sprout Dining be the host for my dad's surprise 60th birthday. It was a two course lunch setting and the area was all out for the afternoon. By saying the lunch was incredible is an understatement. I can put my hand on my heart and say not only was the service impeccable, but the food was some of the best I've ever had and that is really saying something! Each flavour was perfectly paired with another. Each element was cooked perfectly and complimented the entire flavour combination. I ordered the duck breast entree and the lamb rump for my main and I was delightfully content after the meal and was truly in food coma. I cannot talk this place up enough that I had to come straight home and write this review. Through each stage of organising, all the way to plating and serving, to cake cutting and the bar service was all professional and top notch with an amazing set-up for any style of party. All my guests were praising the food right up until they left. What an amazing day. I'll be back and this is one of many glowing reviews I will give for this incredible venue. �

Had a beautiful three course meal, all the food was interesting, fresh and tasty. The service was excellent, an absolutely lovely girl served us and was very attentive and kind. Could not fault it, would highly recommend!.

Sprout catered our wedding a couple of weeks ago at Tocal Homestead and were absolutely amazing! We have had so many people tell us that it was the best food at a wedding they’ve ever had! And the cake! Everyone LOVED the cake! Everything was amazing and the staff were incredible. Thanks for helping to make our day amazing!

Fabulous food, generous portions, especially the oxtail and scallops starter. Really lovely ambiance. I recommend the mothers milk Shiraz from the hunter. Thanks guys

Had the $25 Lunch special - Main meal and a glass of Chardonnay.... was delicious!! service was great ( especially the lovely waitress who ran up the street with my glasses that I left on the table) will be back.

The staff at Sprout did an amazing job of making sure that my Mum enjoyed her birthday yesterday evening. The food was incredible as always, and the service equally as good. My family was impressed, and we'll certainly return 😊

The food was very nice till I finished my drink and found a burnt out tea candle in it. Only to have the drink taken off the bill.

Attended for a wedding tasting which was delish however the full menu with the meals to pick from wasn’t available to be given out or current on the website. Having this information to give out at wedding tastings would be most helpful!
