The portions are massive!! Not kidding you'd need to cancel breakfast and lunch to have dinner here. Food was excellent. Ordered the chicken schnitzel which was fried to perfection, so crispy and juicy. The potato salad with lemon dressing paired so well with it and gave it a zesty kick. The pretzel stick with the salty savory spread was amazing. Also ordered the pork steak with bacon which was delicious as well. They've also got a great selection of beers. The setting is really nice too and you can choose to sit either inside or on the outdoor terrace right underneath the grapevine. We picked a few ripe ones and it was a nice little after treat. Definitely will recommend coming here!
Authentic German taste, size, and vibe with agreat variety of beer and food.The snitzels were big, pork knuckle was tender and the hungarian beef goulash was delicious. We also liked the Austrian lemonade
Great for the price and the serving size. It was relatively quiet and the staff were nice they had a little trouble serving us being a large group but managed well. Bernhard was cooking and also taking our order and just was a nice relaxing place to enjoy a great feed! I sadly couldn't take my leftovers home though..
Very authentic, well priced and great food. Tasty mustards and top beer selection. Was a bit quiet when we went there. But was perfect out the back. Would definitely recommend especially for groups.
Best German food I've ever had, and to top it all off even the gluten free options taste fantastic, the chef had no problems accommodating our dietary requirements.
Very tasty food at very reasonable price. If you want to try authentic Austrian / German food , this might be your best bet in Australia (as a German, I tried most in all states and had been mostly disappointed, but not at Doppelgänger!)
The beer, of course, is delicious too and is served in proper sizes.
Very authentic and reasonably priced. A good selection of German Beers. Pretzels, pork Belly and Veal Schnitzel were amazing! Bernhard was a great host. We'll be back
The food was authentic & just good old fashion European comfort food. Very tasty flavours of Austria & Germany. I definitely recommend the Pork Knuckle. Washed down with a very refreshing Mango Wheat Beer.
Fantastic Bavarian cuisine. Bernhard was a very welcoming host, the preztels (not pictured) were simply amazing. The pork knuckle was delicious and tender and the schnitzel was crispy and light. Washed down with some delightful imported brews, we will be back.
