The pizza here is the traditional Italian style with thin crust. They're pretty good, although I found mine a little on the salty side. My partner enjoyed her Zucchini flowers and Garlic prawns. One thing that irked me was I ordered a glass of wine and the amount of wine served wouldn't have filled a thimble. The barman needs to err on the side of the customer rather than being so stingy. (In hindsight I should have said something). It's quite an expensive restaurant as well. Overall it was a pleasant experience, the food and service is by and large good, and aside from a couple of gripes it could have been a 5 star experience.

My partner and I visited Bella Italia for the first time tonight. We called ahead to ask if we could arrive earlier than our reservation time and staff were very accommodating! On arrival staff were very friendly and welcoming too. Very attentive service and the food was amazing! The vegan menu had so many options! Atmosphere was lovely too. Overall a wonderful experience. Thanks so much and we look forward to visiting again soon! ❤

It is great to see a welcoming and authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Newcastle! Attentive friendly and diverse staff and great home like food made with passion!! We will keep coming back! The espresso martini was awesome btw!!

Have been here twice. Exceptional food and service both times. High quality ingredients and a lot of effort put into every meal. Could not recommend a better place to go for real Italian food and wood fired pizzas in Newcastle. Great selection of mid priced wines and spirits to accompany dinner and their house made limoncello is to die for.

Dined here last night for the first time to celebrate husbands birthday and it exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, service lovely. True authentic Italian cuisine. This is now our favourite Italian restaurant! Thank you for making our experience so great, can’t wait to dine there again and try more from the menu! Highly recommend both prawns and meatballs for entree and the mussels for main. Bellissimo. Thank you to all the staff!

Me and my boyfriend’s first time here and it was everything u could ask for! The food was amazing, our waiter was so lovely (as well as the other staff) and the atmosphere was perfect. We will definitely be back, thank you for a great dinner :)
