Took the in laws here for a Sunday lunch. There are so many dumpling places around Newcastle now. I find many of these places a bit ordinary. However I was pleasantly surprised with Eight Buns. The dumplings had really good flavour and the menu had some really nice options. I love a good fried rice as well and I thought the Prawn fried rice was really good.
I'll definitely come back to Eight buns.
When we stopped in to get a late lunch after three when the kitchen was closed, but they kept the kitchen open to accommodate us. The food was fast and delicious, and the gentlemen who served us had great customer service. We will definitely be back.
After returning to Newcastle after 17 years in Shanghai this is what we were looking for. We've eaten here a few times now but the last time I took friends who'd also lived in Shanghai, they were starving & I wanted to spoil them, so we totally indulged, spending $45 each, but you don't need to spend that much. Tonight my two kids & I will inhale here for my son's birthday. It could cost a bomb, but it's the best & so worth it as they grew up on this type of food.
This is the closest we've come to real Chinese food. Well done πβ

Wow, what a surprise. Restaurant used to be known as Sino. Excellent menu. Efficient ordering method. Great portion size and food quality. The Chicken Laksa and Pork Chive dumplings are really good.
Food was fresh and arrived quickly. The kung bao chicken was excellent.
Service was efficient and when they accidentally served 2 warm beers they were replaced without fuss and provided free for the inconvenience.
One of my favorite restaurants in Hamilton ! The servers are so nice and they really know about the menu. The food is just perfect.
We had a wonderful date at Eight buns. everything was delicious and our server was funny, thoughtful, and super helpful.
