Wishbone Restaurant - Newtown - Photo album

Good place to gorge on fried chicken and delicious sides! Cute, casual vibes and service is great. Definitely order the fried chicken and I really enjoyed the chicken skin too! Crispy and delicious hot sauce.
The fried chicken was good but for 5$ a piece I feel you should be able to choose what cuts you want. The breast piece was disappointingly dry. As for the poutine, the cheese curds were authentically squeaky but there wasn’t enough gravy to melt it. The mac n cheese was also forgettable. The highl
Ideally this rating would be a 3.6. So I’m being generous with the 4. Wishbone is a new chicken joint serving up what appears to be ‘Southern Fried Chicken’ and sides. Although that claim appears nowhere on the menu. The beer & wine list is full of great options perfect to pair with fried goodness.
Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had (And I'm American!). Onion rings were awesome. Booze was great. Atmosphere was fantastic. Go to Sydney (now) and eat some chicken.
Highly recommended with quick and friendly service. The free tabletop arcade game was a hit with the kids. The southern fried chicken was crunchy and tasty. The sides were also great.
Went here on a relatively. Full stomach and still enjoyed every mouthful. Decor is pretty basic but well done. Well organised given the narrow lot The chicken, being southern style is obviously reminiscent of KFC. That is if KFC has super thin yet amazingly fragrant and crispy batter over succulent
On the basis of the chicken, I would have given it a 3. It's nothing special compared to other chicken joints.. you'll find better in Korea town. They do some interesting things here and there, like the honey butter... But for the most part, it didn't change my life. Also... 5 bucks for a 150ml coke
Wishbone has a great atmosphere and top service. The fried chicken is out of this world, I highly recommend the tenders, and Cheryl's sauce blew my mind. Some awesome cocktails and a fantastic selection of interesting craft beers. I only wish there was a car park out the front for meets!
