The wait staff were attentive. The food was awesome. My wife, daughter and I felt like fried chicken and this was the place we ended up at. We had 8pc chicken cooked to perfection, chicken scratchings which were great and the sauce on them put them over the top, popcorn chicken, creamed corn which was our favourite side but the mac and cheese and the hot chips. We will definitely be back
It is an amazing space with KILLER food. The fried chicken is delicious with great quality chicken used and it isnt grot like other "fast food" fried chicken options. The sides are all packed with flavour and work with the mains brilliantly. It is also cheaper than other places in Sydney that offer such high quality food. The drinks are beaut and it is a great, busy and bustling place with a great vibe.
Ordered through Deliveroo and there was a slight delay but that was due to the inclement weather outside. No fault of the restaurant as there did seem to be a lack of delivery people.
I had ordered the Godzilla Burger (fried chicken, bacon, cheddar, bourbon bbq, pickles) served with tater tots, Popcorn Chicken With Smoked Maple, and Mac & Cheese. All the food was tasty. Burger wasn’t over the top and had good flavour with crunchy chicken. The popcorn chicken were nice pops of crunch and went well with the maple. Mac & Cheese has a nice breadcrumb top and creamy middle.
Got the three piece
Chicken is good
Well seasoned but also juicy!
Bit sad that the place was empty for Saturday afternoon
They would do well if they did a promo at fast food prices for their chicken to get people to try it out, eg 10 for $10 pieces

I have many feels about the newly opened Wishbone in Enmore. When Hartsyard took off their famous fried chicken from the menu I was beyond devastated. And then owners Gregory Llewellyn and Naomi Hart decided their bar up the road, The Gretz would be making way for a new venture meaning their crunchalicious fillet o fish burger would also be bidding adieu. So while I’m sad to see that burg go, I was incredibly happy to hear that the fried chicken would be making a return at Wishbone AND that they would be serving poutine and biscuits!
Good place to gorge on fried chicken and delicious sides! Cute, casual vibes and service is great. Definitely order the fried chicken and I really enjoyed the chicken skin too! Crispy and delicious hot sauce.

Ideally this rating would be a 3.6. So I’m being generous with the 4.
Wishbone is a new chicken joint serving up what appears to be ‘Southern Fried Chicken’ and sides. Although that claim appears nowhere on the menu. The beer & wine list is full of great options perfect to pair with fried goodness.
Food ordered:
Fried chicken, pickles, Mac n cheese, hot chips. The chicken was really good! On par with some of the best around Sydney. The sides were OK - very small portions which is disappointing.
As much as I enjoyed the chicken - I really wish I didn’t have to buy pickles separately. For the price tag on the chicken, at least serve it in a piece of white bread with a few pickles on top.
And lastly - I know rent is expensive in Enmore, but the size of the ‘sauces’ was almost laughable. $5 for 3 essentially single serve dips! The honey mustard was tasty, so maybe 3 if those would suit.
I will say my wife and I spent around $50 on food and neither of us really full.
Ambience:
Mainly bar style seating stretched down the middle and tables down the left side. I would say it’s ok for groups of 3-4. Families not so much with limited table seating, pram parking and what not.
The staff were are friendly and happy.
This is definitely a mixed review where delicious chicken did make its way to my belly, but where maybe a little too much cash left my wallet.
I will return but likely just for chicken and beer when I feel like spending a bit more for a quick meal.
Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had (And I'm American!). Onion rings were awesome. Booze was great. Atmosphere was fantastic. Go to Sydney (now) and eat some chicken.
Highly recommended with quick and friendly service. The free tabletop arcade game was a hit with the kids. The southern fried chicken was crunchy and tasty. The sides were also great.
Went here on a relatively. Full stomach and still enjoyed every mouthful. Decor is pretty basic but well done. Well organised given the narrow lot
The chicken, being southern style is obviously reminiscent of KFC. That is if KFC has super thin yet amazingly fragrant and crispy batter over succulent yet firm chicken.
The pafron poppers were.... Exciting =p as a big jalapeno popper fan it seared my mouth a bit more than I could handle but quite a different take on that type of dish. No batter just the pepper (with seed) flash fried and you dip it into the cheese sauce.
Pickles were tasty.
Poutine was delicious, I would probs say expensive but i have to admit it's pretty damn delicious.
The southern Greens is probably the only thing I wasn't a fan of. I'm not familiar with this dish and we ordered thinking it was just your usual steamed veg. I can't comment on the authenticity of this dish. I'd describe as cooked veg with a salty and sour paste on it.
Would Def visit again... Ideally not driving so I can down some beer and knock back some fried goodness
Wishbone has a great atmosphere and top service. The fried chicken is out of this world, I highly recommend the tenders, and Cheryl's sauce blew my mind. Some awesome cocktails and a fantastic selection of interesting craft beers. I only wish there was a car park out the front for meets!
