Fabulous 3 course meal at a reasonable price for the quality of the meal (which wap 5 stars in itself) and personal service.
The restaurant is in a mud hut built in Bookham NSW back in 1860. It wap moved to its current location in 1970. Being in such a building the atmosphere is to die for. Although
Christmas in July dinner was excellent. Entree, main and dessert plus bread roll and coffee for $65. There was a choice of 3 fantastic dishes each course. Service was the usual high standard and the atmosphere was cozy and festive. I have always enjoyed eating here no matter what time of the year.

Great, gourmet meals at fairly standard Canberra prices. The restaurant is beautiful and interesting, and you really feel like you have stepped back in time when you enter the cottage! Service was friendly and all meals came quickly without feeling rushed.
One of a kind in Canberra. Owner/manager is great and organises his less than experienced wait staff. Food is always a pleasure and ambience spectacular. Highly recommend.

Nice cosy atmosphere. Went as group for dinner. Vegetarian main was tasty but far too small. Salmon tasty but overcooked. Quite expensive. Looong wait for dessert but pleasant. Nice cheese platter. An enjoyable evening.
