Table for 2 and maybe you review -
On a recommendation from well-known foodie John Williams, we tried iS Tapas on Gympie Tce at Noosaville, right opposite the river.
It was in a word - outstanding.
With a large range of options from "The Farm", "The Ocean" and "The Garden", we chose the BBQ chicken skewers, char-grilled lamb cutlets and tempura-battered salt & pepper calamari.
The calamari arrived first - it was perfectly cooked; melted in your mouth and a generous serving. One of the best we've had.
Next up was the lamb which was char-grilled in Pedro Ximenez sherry and served with muscatels, pine nuts and a salad.
Wow, the sherry took the dish to a whole new level - will definitely order this again.
The chicken, which was done East African-style - marinated in herbs, lemon, garlic and ginger and served with salad and very good house-made aioli- was also very tasty.
On the drinks side, the wine list was a bit limited, although the Pinot Grigio from Italy was very drinkable. There was also an interesting selection of cocktails and beers.
Price-wise, the dishes ranged from $14 to $19, and the drink prices were reasonable.
The service was friendly and unobtrusive but efficient - all-up iS Tapas is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
The food at IS Tapas Bar on Gympie Terrace. Is just divine. The peking Duck Roll with Hoison Sauce is too die for. Calamari is crisp with dipping sauce is so scrupulous. Also the mince in a lettuce leaf is a nice and light dish. (If you like a bit more of a spicy dish).
Service was prompt and friendly staff.
All over looking the Noosa River.

Went to this bar for a birthday dinner on Sunday with 5 friends. We had a fantastic table that looked over Gympie Street and the river. The restaurant is set up from the street so there are stairs to enter. The first thing you notice when you get there is the bar and wine cellar/fridge. This place the Food menu is only a couple of pages but the drinks menu is almost a book. The service was fabulous friendly and attentive. Lara out hostess and waitress was all over it her customer service was excellent even though she was extremely busy that night. The food was mostly share type tapas which suited us. I think we almost ordered everything on the menu and it was all delicious. Good music playing over the sound system added to the relaxed vibe. It was a wonderful evening …will be back
Initially went in for a quick after-lunch drink. (Great selection of wines to choose from!)
Saw food being served, read the menu and asked if there was a table available for four persons that evening. They fitted us in at 7.30pm and I can honestly say we had a really delicious meal - paella was fantastic! So good, in fact, that we went back the next evening and had another great meal. Service is really, really good and,
although it was pouring with rain (Mothers Day), the ambience was superb and the place was quite packed but everyone was enjoying themselves. Going back very soon - can't resist the seafood paella!

Very good food and atmosphere. Shared 3 mains and a carafe of sangria - the seared tuna, charred octopus and salt & pepper squid. Each main was unique in presentation and accompaniments. Each dish looked and tasted great with nothing to fault.
Wonderful food & service. The cocktails are delicious & the staff are very helpful with recommendations for both food & drink. Happy with all of the food but the churros was probably a highlight for taste & portion size. Looking forward to going back!
Absolutely loved this place. The whole menu was share plates. We went with two mains and several sides. They brought these out intermittently throughout the evening, so we grazed. EVERYTHING was yummy. The seafood in particular (I believe all locally sourced - Paella and Mussels were my faves). Service was second to none, cocktails were flowing, cups were always full. Highly recommend, would go here again and again.
Had lunch at this place on a whim and it turned out to be one of the best spontaneous decisions ever.
The charred octopus was beautifully grilled with all its flavor yet not overdone so it maintained its tenderness (overdone octopus becomes rubbery and tough) - a dish which requires skills. Yet, this was outdone by the dish of Hiramasa Kingfish. The fillet was a thick and generous portion, which itself poses as a challenge as its difficult to gauge if the middle is done, risking burning the outside. Nevertheless, the fish was skillfully cooked, resulting in a beautifully moist and flavourful dish with a delightlfully crispy skin. Both dishes were perfection, all the way down to the accompanying kumara and pickled carrot. I could sing about the kumara for days - thinly sliced and roasted to slight crispiness. We also had the duck rillettes - a perfect sharing dish and accompanying tapas for drinks.
The selection of alcoholic drinks were also impressive and tastefully curated. Wait staff were friendly and happy to offer recommendations.
10/10 one of the best experiences I've had on the Sunny Coast. Highly recommend this place.
Yoyo is a special place. It's ideal for sharing small plates and for group bookings. The food is memorable, especially the chicken and chorizo paella. The quality of the venue, food and drinks surpasses the service provided. This should be a five-star rating if it were not for the fo pas from the wait staff that could have easily been avoided.
