Not your traditional falafel shop as it is very modern. Be prepared to pay a little extra but the falafels themselves are fresh and not dry.
This was an amazing plate of food, in both size and quality!
Everything on the Halloumi Falafel plate was great - the hummus, the halloumi, the salad, the pickles, the sauce, and especially the Falafel - just so soft, flavourful, and perfect.
Highly, highly recommend.

As a lover of Middle Eastern cuisine, and being vegetarian, it is no wonder I constantly have my ears pricked for recommendations of the best falafel in Melbourne. A good falafel is not just about texture, it is about flavour and accompaniments as well. Well, that had me. There is a reason why people flock here. at every time of the day and into the night. The menu is modern – this Israeli
Never realised how delicious falafels could be. Ordered one of the plates on deliveroo. So much delicious salad and sauces inside. So filling couldn’t even finish. The pita bread was a bit dry, but was good to have with the plate.
Generous portions and reasonable price. Falafels are crunchy on the outside and delicious. Delivery is timely and your food always arrives hot. My only qualm is that the broccoli and salad seemed to be really salty.
My favourite place for pita stuffed with yummy veggie goodness and delicious falafels prepared upon order! A generous portion; I usually end up eating half of it and saving the other half for my next meal. Also tried the fries for the first time and they were fragrant and each fry had just the right balance of a crisp outer layer and a soft, fluffy inner filling of potato. Never disappoints! :)
The food here is incredible. The halloumi pita is my absolute favourite and it is HUGE - perfect for a late lunch. The staff are really friendly and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.
Really good falafel pita! Service felt a bit rushed however the food made up for that. Heaps of sauce and fillings. Falafel was the best, wasnt dry at all
I have long just wanted some falafs and I sure am glad I got some. A warning - these are very large serves that a gutz like me appreciates very much.
My favourite healthy veggie treat in Melbourne. Felafel is fresh and tasty and excellent value. The flavours of all the dishes are perfectly balanced.
Lovely place, great service, easy parking and generous and hearty food!!! I ordered the classic pita and it was delishhhh: the falafel was crispy on the outside and moist inside, The hummus and tahini with the pickled veggies were amazing. Would defs come here again 😋
Freshest falafel east of Sydney road. Fluffy pita, fresh salads, perfectly crafted tahini and hummus. You seriously can't go wrong with any option on the menu. I recommend the haloumi pita or the mixed plate.
Oh my gosh this is delicious. Best falafel I’ve had in Melbourne- and also quick, clean, and convenient. Would go out of my way for this food.
Potentially the best falafels I have ever eaten. Beautiful, fresh ingredients and an amazing hummus. I ordered the Classic Plate via Uber Eats with a side of flatbread - highly recommend!
Some of the best falafels I’ve had! The Class ic and Harissa pita are amazing, the classic pita is my go-to and is great every time I’ve had it! Tried the Sabich once but the eggplant was deep fried too long and tasted like oily charcoal, maybe they just a bad day. Depending on the time, lines can be long and you can wait up to 20 - 25 mins, so I would recommend ordering by phone 15 mins beforehand.
Seriously good food. Best falafels and salads I've tried in Australia. Fresh vibrant ingredients and the salads are extremely good value for the quality. Friendly service, bright and cheerful shop, biodegradable takeaway containers. It's one of the best vegetarian options in Melbourne.
Really yummy vegetarian food!
Great flavours and textures. Highly recommend for anyone who loves to eat and not feel as guilty doing so. Reasonable prices and the deliver to local suburbs.
What more could you want for your local vegetarian eat out ?
Just Falafs is purely delish!!
I came here with a few friends on a public holiday where they were giving out free pita with falafels (for International Falafel Day); and free or not, they were amazing!!
The falafels were not too dry and pretty large. The pita bread was fresh and so were the vegetables and salad fillings. The chilli sauce wasn’t too overpowering but gave a welcoming and tangy heat to the dish.
The flavours overall were well balanced and the whole thing was a great size. Even the staff were pleasant and chatty considering how busy it was. I will DEFINITELY be back here and recommend this place to anyone.
I really like this place. I’d just wanted a salad. And, I needed it quickly because I had a bottom clenchingly small window of opportunity to eat before a nearby meeting. The salad was roasted vegetables - pumpkin, cauliflower, carrot and beetroot - and some grains. It was delivered about 42 seconds after I placed my order when the excellent staff assured me I had sufficient time to eat. The vegetables were cooked superbly and everyone of them was as tasty as all get out. I had trouble picking the star of the dish but I’ll go for the pumpkin which was utterly magnificent. One of these vegetables or maybe a few were cooked with chilli or something similar and left my lips lovely and warm. The grains were seriously tasty too. I loved this meal and might be convinced to go vego over time. A plug for the staff. They were very nice. Timing, efficiency, manner - they’re at absolute best practice. They were also playing awesome music here and that scores bonus points as well. Love it. Happy days. I’m definitely returning here.
Very good falafel, I mean very tasty falafel. Made to order, soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. Good salad options.
Haloumi plate, $15, very nicely cooked haloumi, good salads, extra $1 for pita. - they were donating a dollar from sales of this dish to a local charity.
Baklava or Turkish delight for dessert.
Modern, trendy store with a small amount of seating. Seemed like takeaway was the more popular option.
I am not a vegetarian but i am always on the look out for a healthy meal. Just Falafs was a wonderful find in fitzroy. Not only was the meal packed full of flavour the service also was of the highest quality! A young lady named Grace served me and she was so lovely. Great service! 5 🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑!!

Truly falafel heaven. The balls are fried to the perfect crispiness, and served up in the softest pita I've had. My friends and I all got the haloumi, and died a little bit as we opened them up. The haloumi was also fried, and was exceptional. It would have been great to have more haloumi throughout the pita, instead of just on top. The mixed salad was amazing - the coleslaw with dill was my hands-down favourite. This place is great and a stone's throw from Edinburgh Gardens, where we took our pitas to eat. So, so good. The service is also really personal and friendly. Thanks, JF!
Exceptional falafs! Perfect amount of everything, nothing but delish! Got the haloumi...unfortunately they sold out of pitas, but not to worry, the plate hit the spot just right. There was a line 20 deep and yet everything was made and ready to take the park in only 20mins. Well done falaf folks.
Food is truly delicious. Have tried classic and haloumi - both incredible. Also try the baklava. One of my favourite lunch options in the area. Reasonably priced and nice vibe.
Best felafel in Melbourne! Love the haloumi plate! Great chips and salads here too.
I always get really friendly and fast service here as well. 5 stars!
I've been on the hunt around the world for the perfect falafel and I've finally found it. This is much better than very good falafel or tahina. These falafels are crunchy on the outside and beautifully green and fluffy on the inside with such fresh, crunchy, vibrant salads. 10/10 would bang. Best in Melbourne
Never had a bad experience at this joint! The service is always quick and super friendly, and the food is divine. You can tell how fresh the ingredients are when you eat it. If you’re after a great feed and an awesome vibe, make sure you stop by!
Had the haloumi pita, I think they would just be a lot better in a wrap because I didn't even get any haloumi until the end. Falafels were nice
Friendly staff, amazing range of salads and hummus that any hummus lover would appreciate, but don't forget the babaganoush dip either. Great place for a quick, healthy lunch.
Grab the mixed plate with falafels for the win..hate to admit it but the falafels at Just Flafs quite possibly beat the little balls of yum served up at Tahina!
Was overall happy, the hummus was a little too heavy on the garlic side and the falafel a tad dry yet you could tell the ingredients were fresh and vibrant in colour and flavour. The broccoli and beans dishes were perfectly cooked, loved the crunchy fried garlic and chilli. Would certainly visit again. A welcome addition to the area.
Tasty pita pockets. I had the harissa which was nice but the sauce overpowered the flavour of the falafels. Next time I think I'll just stick to the classic with chilli so that I can appreciate the falafels.
My friends and I went there last night, after not getting into our first choice restaurant. The falafels/tamia were great, had the right crunch and flavour. I had the grainy salad, that was amazingly delicious. The food was amazing and would definitely have gotten 5 stars. Only downside I encountered was not being able to use the restrooms because they had none! I traveled from afar but to be told "go next door they have toilets" is next level crazy. I understand it's a small eatery but it's still not acceptable sorry.
Amazing fresh & healthy food, cool space and friendly service. The reasons why we come back on a weekly basis. Make it a regular to your week!
Great atmosphere & nice falafel. I've found a lot of other restaurants in the area have a tendency to overcook their falafel. Just Falafs does not have this problem. I've always found their dishes to have been prepared perfectly using good ingredients.
enjoyed all the food...ordered the sabich....which sounded an odd combo..but was really delicious...eggplant/egg/hommos salad....and an extra falafel on the side just to see what it was like (very tasty)...will return and indulge in some of their tasty looking salads...
Exceptional falafel everytime and friendly service. I've been a bunch of times and never been disappointed. Great to have this place close to my work.
I'm addicted. I've given it 5 stars because I have no criticism. I prefer Just Falafs to Very Good Falafel, the food itself but also the service is friendlier at the former, and it's great that if it's busy you can just take your food to Edinburgh Gardens.
My favourite - well, the only one I've had so far - is the falafel plate with haloumi. So wholesome, vibrant and delicious.
A new addition to the Fitzroy area, and how lucky they are! From their store name alone, you know you're in for a delightful experience.
I ordered the Classic Pita ($9.5); a cold pita filled with falafels, pickled cabbage, Israeli salad, hummus and tahini. The falafels themselves were delicious; freshly made, well crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. One pita is definite a generous serving.
The service was fast and friendly. Will be back to try their other falafel pitas!
My new favourite Falafel shop! Best darn falafel I've ever had. I had the classic plate, falafs were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside, generous serving of hummus, fresh salads, awesome sauces on the side. I also had a glass of the orange blossom lemonada which was yum. Very welcome addition to the neighbourhood.
I walked in and ordered the haloumi plate and a ginger beer. The girl smiled and asked was it to have here or takeaway. Why to have here of course. By here, I mean at Just Falafs. The plate was delicious, fresh and quite generous. The name of the place and pun, was the perfect dessert.
Who doesn;t like a good pun! We got there on the first day with my partner, we both had the halloumi falafels that tasted good and fresh. the place looks great too and I like the branding. I'll certainly go back there.
Wonderful fresh tasting falafel with no lingering oily taste. The harissa falafel with extra chilli was nice & spicy. Looking forward to trying the haloumi and cauliflower next time.
Now I don't normally eat a lot of takeaway falafel as I find it most places to be quite bland. However "Just Falafs" have taken the humble falafel to great heights! I tried some of the salads on offer which were also delicious. With my falafel I came in a pita pocket filled with goodness. The Harissa sauce is just Devine. To think I stumbled upon this place by accident ,but I promise it won't be the last time I drop buy for fresh falafel 👌🏽
Easily the tastiest felafel I've ever had!
I ordered the felafel with haloumi and roasted cauliflower. Truly amazing flavour and a very generous portion size.
These guys take their food seriously and it's not just falafs. Seriously try anything on the menu, it's so good! From the roasted veggies to the hummus.
Service is also incredibly friendly every time I've been.
This place can get busy even on weeknights so I would advise takeaway or going to the gardens across the road for a picnic style meal.
ORDERED:
🌯 Haloumi Pita: Falafel, hummus, local haloumi cheese, layered with golden fried cauliflower, pickled cabbage, sumac pickled onion, topped with pickles and tahini ($15.00)
REVIEW:
Just Falafs has a cosy interior, fitted with high ceilings and instagram friendly plant aesthetics. There's limited seating inside, but everyone seems to take away anyway. So you have a good chance of nabbing a seat regardless!
The haloumi was delicious and exactly what I was looking for. The pita is generously stacked, where I had to take some of the haloumi in order to fit my mouth around it. That also meant I got some haloumi to munch on the side!
I'm always scared ordering a falafel because I've had some awfully dry ones. However don't fear! Just Falafs have them MOIST and flavourful. Definitely would recommend Just Falafs if you have a hankering for a falafel pita.
What can I say, food and falafels, 5 star! Great falafels, sides, variety and options. Not a huge dine in space but good for a quick bite. Definitely more takeaway or delivery options here. Staff are efficient without being super friendly. Worth the trip for the food though as you won't be disappointed
Harry, who made the Falaf, just made me the best Falafel of my life and my friend seconded that. The Halloumi Falaf was sour, spicy and savoury. It was wrapped in Pita Bread and wow. I honestly thought Falafels were overrated till I stumbled across this humble looking discreet cafe in Fitzroy North.
We went to get a quick snack at Just Falafs and it was absolutely amazing. I haven’t liked falafel in the past but when I tasted these it was like tasting heaven. We also order some chips with garlic and rosemary. The garlic gave the chips a beautiful taste. I would go there every day if I could.

It's a toss up between Very Good Falafel for who does a better falafel, but I'm on team Just Falafs for the name alone and the rosemary on the chippies.
Falafel with halloumi pita is the best worldwide 🤤👌🏼 hope they open for dine in, covid is over! Been a customer since 2018 and it’s the only restaurant I missed while been away due to covid
