Friendly staff, very accommodating. Warm and relaxing ambiance. Love the Sangria here!! The food is fresh and the meat looks roaring. A bit pricey for me, but considering the location, can’t complain. Anyway, no issues at my table 👍🏽

Excellent meat and good service. I really felt I was in Argentina. Music, food, environment, scents, etc, reminded me when I used to travel from Brazil to Buenos Aires and Mendoza on holidays to have delicious food and a good Malbec. Toilet was tidy and clean.

Not sure why others have had poor experiences. I've been here 4 times and every time has been so great. We even had our work Xmas party here last year. Quantities are so generous. Food is absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. Flan is to die for. Amazing value for money. Corkage is a bit steep but other than that absolutely love it for group dinners!

This is the most authentic Argentinian restaurant i have been to in Australia, we had Empenadas for starters, they were full of flavour, delicious, loved them, we had the share plate for main, a huge rustic full flavoured plate of meat served on a tray with charcoal under the plate still cooking the meat. We had Creme caramel for desert, full on flavour with dulce de leche on the side...was really delicious and our Argentinian waitress was lovely and warm. Been to most of the Argentinian Resturants across Australia, this is the best for me because it has a similar ambience to what you experience in Argentina, rustic and food full of flavour, dont expect fine dining, if your looking for a full flavoured slow cooked charcoal meat festival where you can eat till your full this is it, loved it!

Simple but tasty food for the meat lover amongst us. Friendly service and reasonable prices. If you want the more exotic offal dishes (and who doesn't?!?) make sure you call ahead of time to secure your chosen delicacy.

Overcharged and rude about it.. When ordering our meals the waitress was extremely unorganised in her ordertaking. We were a group of 11 however we got charged for 9 full asados, 2 chicken plate and 1 lamb plate. When we tried to explain that we had been overcharged the manager told us that the waitress that served us wasnt there atm and she had written down 9 so there is nothing he can do about it. Terrible hospitality. Very rude and definately wont be coming back. Oh and the lamb wasnt that great either.

Yummy asado all you can eat grill, potato salad (russa) and desserts. We tried the empanadas, asado all you can eat between four people and desserts. So delicious! The empanadas were ok, I am used to Chilean ones so I prefer those. Despite that the beef empanadas were full of flavour and a little spicy although a little on the heavy side. The asado/ grill meat was mostly juicy, some pieces of pork were a little dry but still flavoursome. The salsa was a little bland should have had more kick to it or be more juicy but it was really a small thing. Served nice and hot on a metal pan on top of coals. The jus gave the meat even more depth of flavour. Our favourites were the morcilla (black pudding) and beef ribs. We also had russa salad or potato salad on the side and it was divine! The grilled potatoes and salad with the asado were ok-it's worth getting the extra salads.

We had to try the delicious desserts at least to share even though we were all stuffed after one tray of meat- make sure you're extra hungry! The creme caramel were loved by two of us and the other two loved the chocolate mousse. They were both really delicious better than an average mousse and the creme caramel was uniquely South American in flavour not the typical french version. The milk custard of the creme caramel was perhaps a little overcooked but still lovely and light.

The service was prompt and attentive with meals coming soon after ordering. It got very busy about half hour after we got there as it was a Saturday so the waiters and waitresses were harder to get a hold off later on but they were quick to get us what we needed when we got their attention. The only particular issue was that the female toilets were not very clean, full rubbish bins and no toilet paper. Male toilets were fine which is a bit odd. Hopefully that is easy enough to remedy, not a deal breaker for us we will be back!

Huge portion of food and they were yummy. The only thing I personally don’t like is they take cash only.

El Gaucho is for the committed meat eater. The fare is heavy on marinated red meat and chicken, as well as some salads. The location is on the smaller side with tables and bench seats for group style eating as well as the more traditional arrangements. The food was magnificent and kept coming. The staff were great dealing with our large group. Go there and enjoy.

This is overall the closest to an argentinean parrilla you can get overseas. $32 for an all you can eat barbecue and salad, and you get to choose from a selection of good and affordable wines as well. The owner is great, and the staff members are friendly. Mind you, when they get busy, orders take a bit of time and it is not uncommon to have more than one waiter serving tables. This is also argentinean experience, and if you're looking for German or Japanese style of efficiency at the tables, go and find German or Japanese barbecues in town. This place is an experience. Do not go and try to read the fine print, there's none. Just eat and drink and have a good time. I'm a regular and absolutely recommend this place for any fun occasion.
