Knowing Top Ryde quite well and having tried a lot of the cafes there, I decided to venture further out and try the cafes outside the shopping centre! This one is hidden on the corner. Although it looks really narrow, if you decide to venture inside Espressimo, you'll find there's a more spacious back end. Staff greeted me and my mum very politely, which was a positive.
Decided to give the big breakfast (unfortunately I couldn't full an updated menu in their fb page, so im recalling the price as $18) a go with sharing with my mum. The food was served on a board, with a fryer grill and a bowl which I found a bit unique. It was quite generous in the portion sizes, however there were several issues which I think need improving. The menu specified there was a special relish jam, but I did not find it in my dish. The mushrooms were tasty, but the scrambled eggs we had asked for were not exactly scrambled, a bit overcooked. I feel the baked beans need to be in a separate cup, because it spoils the rest of the bowl. I actually really liked the green tea latte ($4) which is really cheap, because it wasn't overdone in sugary taste. No issues with the cappuccino, but I say that for most coffee places, so standard.
All in all, I feel this cafe does have a lot of areas to improve in, and it does show promise for potential growth. Would suggest to people after a tiring day of shopping at Top Ryde, and they're bothered to venture outside and try a new place.
Nice cafe situated outside top Ryde shopping centre, Been here a few times and the coffee, Bacon and egg sandwich on focaccia bread is always consistent. Staff are friendly and easy to accomodate to your request.
