Finally a place that knows how to cook an American burger!
As a burger lover and one who grew up on burgers (from California), I gotta say that the “Bronx” burger is the best classic bacon cheeseburger that I have had since living in Sydney. Anyone who knows me, I’m ALWAYS on a lookout for great America food.
Recently we had our 2nd child at the Mater Hospital and due to a horrible experience with UberEats and BBJ North Sydney, I needed a redemption burger. Thanks to my cousin, I walked 30 mins to and from this this joint in the heat and would do it 100 times again.
To start off, the top bun was nice and soft while the bottom bun was soft and DRY. No one likes a soggy. I’ll tell you their secret later.
The burger itself was juicy, flavorful and cooked to perfection. For all of the other burger joints out there, a burger should be cooked to medium or medium-rare unless Therese requested.
Crispy AF bacon. If you’re from the states, bacon is bacon and there’s no arguing it. Here in Australia bacon has two parts. 1) Streaky bits and 2) the mid cut. For all of my fellow Americans, always order the STREAKY bacon and it they tell you it’s not streaky then don’t add it unless you want a of Canadian Bacon on your burger.
Cheese! Two pieces of it too! Most Australians call American cheese that fake yellowish orange cheese. But to us Americans it’s the cheese that makes any burger great!
Here’s how Five Points Burgers constructed the best burger! (Keep in kind that I don’t work for them not have I ever worked for the nor did they pay me to post this) This is not in any order but this is how I would have recreated the burger. On the top bun, they slathered on the aioli, tomato sauce and onion jam. On the bottom bun they lay a slice of cheese directly on the bun, (this is the trick to keep the bun from sliding when you bite into it and keeping it from becoming soggy especially when I had to walk 15 mins back to the hospital) the pickles, burger with the melted cheese on top, crispy AF bacon, iceberg lettuce and then the top of the bun goes on it!
Of course a great burger deserves some awesome fries and a milkshake to was it down! The beer battered fries were great. I ordered mine well done since I know they’d possibly get soggy walking back but the were delicious and crispy!
There you have it. If you’re in the North Sydney area, this is definitely the place to go for lunch or an early dinner as they open from 11:30-5:30pm M-W and 11:30-9pm T-F.
Enjoy!
The most delicious moist juicy burger in North Sydney, with impeccable service and friendly staff. My regular treat!
Best burger I have even eaten! He makes me the LA burger even though it's not on the menu! Great customer service!

Quick and tasty with awesome staff. Reasonable price. Simple menu for those in the lunch rush. A hidden gem inside the busy north sydney. Would eat again...and again and again.
I really like your food. I really like your food.
It wouldn’t let me post without 50 letters so I repeated it.
The BEST burger & chips that i have ever had! The service was amazing and we received our food really quickly, even when it was busy! Not the biggest fan of brioche buns because they tend to be really thick and dry but these were just so fluffy and delicious Awesome jobs guy, i will definitely be back!
Excellent burgers by 5 points burger, delicious and has lots of flavour, the chips are fantastic too.
Five points for Five Points! I had the Staten Island burger which was surprisingly refreshing to eat. The shakes aren't too sweet (as opposed to most burger joints having very sweet shakes)
Took the girls for burgers, first time for all of us so, we took it slow, and will remember this for a long time... Beautiful soft buns and freshly cooked juicy patties with some thick crunchy chips. Overall it was totally worth the slightly longer than usual burger joint wait!!! Sooo yum. We got the Bronx and Manhattan!
The burgers are amazing and I recommend everyone to give it a go.
These and and are delicious! Never fails to satisfy and the owner is a straight legend
I have had many burgers in the past but 5 points cafe burgers is truly one of the best burgers I had by far, try Brooklyn burgers and say good bye to other burgers. 😋😋
Great Brooklyn burger and sauce was amazing. Delicious chips!
simple tasty traditional burger well priced fast and friendly staff. full marks five points
This restaurant offers very simple American style burgers and dishes. I ordered the queens burger which consisted of a chicken patty. The burger was juicy, delicious, filling and nicely seasoned.
I genuinely miss working in North Sydney, but only because of this place. The burgers I would say are the best I've ever tasted in Sydney, hands down. Along with a fatty milkshake. You can't go wrong.
Please come to the inner west, you'll be most welcome here ;)
Big old tasty ass juicy ass burger. Hits the spot if you are craving. Which I assume you are...
Ticks most of the classic burger boxes. The chips were also good which can often be a let down
When Five Points Burgers opened in 2015 you would see queues of 15-20 plus patrons lining up during lunch hour. What makes this burger joint so popular apart from good burgers are their delicious milkshakes. The Salted Caramel is a favourite of mine. Along with the Queens burger.
~The Bronx Burger 🍔
[UPDATE: Thanks to Driss, the owner of Five Points, I was able to try this burger once again (sauces were missing last time), I’m glad to say that it was delicious and my favorite part was the crispy bacon! The sauces complimented the burger. I will be back to try their other burgers!]
Best Burger on the North of the Bridge. Go for the basic one. Very Fresh Ingredients and reasonable priced. Lunch time is crunch time and you may need to wait. Go after 2PM
Nice place to have a burger. We ordered chicken burger... It was juicy and delicious.. I am not a fan of their fries though.. mine were little soft... but the burgers are good...should definitely try once.
Staff - nice.
Ambience - good
Food - excellent
Service - good
Food: burger is tasty. Meat is nicely grilled. Wouldn’t thought of going back for burger as it’s nothing wow factor to bring you back
Service: self service. Can be busy during lunchtime or just takeaway to avoid the busy day
Price: it’s standard burger price.
Good quality burger, tasty meat and nice bun. They have the option of cooking your burger medium rare, or you can choose how you want it done.
Good amount of lettuce and pickle. Cheese is melted on top of the burger and the sauce is nice.
If the restaurant gets busy they also serve their burgers in the foyer of the building next door, where it is easier to get a seat.
There are also bunch of open air tables just down the road

I thoroughly enjoyed the food here. I had a Manhattan and you could tell that it was a quality hamburger. Additionally, the staff was super friendly and attentive and the ambience of the restaurant was very nice. I cannot see much of a fault in this place, definitely deserves the 4.5/5 rating it already has 😋
Juicy burgers, great price, what's not to love. Situated in North Sydney, it's a hot spot for the juiciest burgers. Went during a lunch break for the occasional burger run on Friday and this place was packed, with a queue forming. Regardless of how busy this place was, they were efficient and pumped out all the burgers with speed and gusto. Burger was mouth watering delicious and did not disappoint. Would be revisiting whenever I'm in the area.
Always get the Manhattan and the quality has been great and constant. Juicy patty, perfect ratio of bun/meat/sauce and chips are pretty good too. Great for Friday work lunches too. Definite recommend
Chips were delicious and the burgers satisfying! A friend recommended it as it is their favourite eatery in North Sydney. It was yum, but not my all time favourite.
A number of years ago, I used to go the restaurant Tomislav, a stone’s throw from the Coke sign in Kings Cross. I loved it. I remember it being inventive and high-end, with sensational service, and reasonable cost. The delicious food and something about the attitude and approach excited me. So, I was sad when it disappeared. It took a while but I finally heard that Tomislav had resurfaced, running a casual burger place in North Sydney (actually, his position is “consulting chef”). It took me yonks to finally manage to get up there… it’s only open for lunch on weekdays.
Was excited to come here but parking was difficult and packed throughout lunch with nearby office workers coming out for a bite. Interior was simple that resembles a shed imo. There were no seats for eating in but shortly after ordering they were freed up. Despite the queue, the burgers were pumped out very fast.
The patties were smash style and developed a well caramelised crust with a slice of American cheese oozing over. The menu described it to be medium rare but I couldn't see how it was possible for this type of burger. It was seasoned well and sufficiently juicy. The only criticism would be the lack of pickles. Tasty burgers at a reasonable price and location would be the best description. While you're there, try and find the hidden statue ;).
Burger specialists doing a seriously good job! What I love about this place is they are doing a few things really well. With a small selection of burgers, they are able to take care with their produce. The burgers were seriously good. The brioche bun was light yet sturdy enough to hold together throughout the eating journey. Medium rare beef, slathered with bacon and cheese, can your Friday night get any better? Well, it could if you order a chocolate or vanilla shake. Delish! Loss of points come from the chips which were nice, but didn't set my world on fire. I'd suggest you get there!
The Bronx burger is awesome! Add in the chips and shake ( Salted caramel is great) your stomach will fill up to the brim and your taste buds will sizzle. Customer service is also great
At last, a truly great burger joint in North Sydney. So happy I finally got around to trying Five Points tonight. Still savouring the taste 30 minutes after finishing the last bite.
Jumped online at five minutes to closing, couldn't find a phone number, Facebook Messaged them "Too late to order?" Snap! Instant reply "If you're here in the next 4 minutes all good 😊". Replied "I'm 3 minutes drive away. How about a cheeseburger and fries when I get there?" Instant reply again... "No online ordering as too busy and we're never online during shifts . I'll make an exception this time. Cheeseburger and fries to go it is".
Stepped inside right on 9pm to be greeted by Johnny the Irish dude with a great attitude and service ethic. I'm hooked. The burger and fries were outstanding, by the way.
I had the Bronx and the Queens which were both incredible burgers, but two burgers was way too filling. Having said that, I definitely would have been hungry after only one burger & chips. Will be returning to try the other burgers!

Great burger place in North Sydney, came here during a weekday lunch and the line was huge! We ordered the Bronx which was juicy and huge and also got some thick cut chips which were delicious.
Exceptional service, we were made to feel very welcome. Burgers and fries were outstanding, I had the Bronx burger and my girlfriend had the chicken burger, both of us were amazed at how good they were. The only thing the place lacks is seating options inside.
Awesome staff and the best burger in Aus! Only gave a small reduction in rating because of the milkshake inconsistencies and lack of seating
Five points does amazing burgers with it's patties having enough of a crisp on the outside, and juicy on the inside. My favourite is the Bronx.
Best to come outside of rush hour to make sure the burgers and chips are perfect. During rush hour, the patties and chips aren't always cooked for as long as it should, but still tastes great.
Great service and hands down the best burger in Sydney. The only downside is that there isn't enough seating and the place can get packed...
Best burger we have had in Sydney. Takes us 40mins to get to the place but worth the travel. The workers there are really nice and welcoming. The burgers there are delicious, awesome meat patties and good textures with the toasted buns and veg. Recommend getting early for lunch because there's limited seating and lots of people go to the restaurant.
Great burgers - the best in North Sydney by far! The Bronx burger is the best. You pay a bit more for them but they use quality ingredients. The only downside are the queues - you have to get there really early at lunchtimes especially on Fridays and you also wait around 10 -15 minutes to get your burgers and fries. There is only 1 person taking orders so I think this really slows the overall service down. The staff are always really friendly and remember their regular customers by name.
Not many dine in seats either so be prepared to have it as take away.
Amazing little place to stumble upon. We weren't overly impressed with any other burger joints we tried in Sydney, particularly when we scout out all of Melbourne's, but this burger just about highlighted our trip over the border
Looks like I'm in the minority with this one... but I'm not as super impressed with this place as it seems with everyone else. It was busy for lunch, no chance finding a spot to actually eat here. It took 5 mins to order, then 20 mins to get the burger to go. Maybe I made the wrong choice with the Queens (chicken burger), the flavour combo was ok, but the chicken breast was not that juicy & felt bit average overall. The chips were bit flat and not crunchy. Might still give them a second go with the Manhattan next time, hopefully it will change my mind.
My ex girlfriend took me to this joint for my birthday and i was very much surprised and well worth the hour train ride, the milkshakes there are unbelievably tasty, the burger was brilliant with very quick service
Good burgers with relatively quick service during the lunch period. The fact that there menu only has a few items on it means they concentrate on doing what they do well.
Great burger. The taste of the sauce and protein match very well. Chicken is juicy and soft. It makes the whole monthfeel very impressed. Will like to try the milkshake next time.
These burgers are a gift from God. My boyfriend and I travel all over Sydney (and NYC) to try well reviewed burgers. Five points is by far the best burger joint in Sydney. Yes we are burger nuts.
Perfect buns. Juicy patties cooked to amazing. Double cheese. You also can't miss having chips and a shake. Really well priced and excellent sizes. Owner is always there guaranteeing they only serve the best. During peak they pump out hundred of burgers. Don't be disheartened by the long queues, it's just shows how addicted everyone is. Burgers still come out fast and excellent quality.
DO NOT MISS TRYING THESE BURGERS!!!

Definitely one of my go to burger joints. Don't be dis heartened by the long lines as such is their efficiency the burgers come out pretty fast.
Burgers always cooked well to impress and perfectly balanced makes this place a must
Five points in North Sydney is a really nice go to spot for a good burger. Honestly, super nice and super down to earth staff also. The cashier messed up our bill but apologised really sincerely then constantly made sure we were satisfied with the meal.
The burger itself was really amazing, probably one of the best I've had and I've had tonnes of good burgers before. The patty was soft and juicy (great quality meat) and the bacon, if you order it with bacon, is done super crispy. I ordered the salted caramel milkshake, recommended to me buy the cashier and it was amazing also. One of the best shakes I've had, a good size and super quenching after the savoury burger, really commendable.
The only reason five points isn't getting a 5.0 from me, comes down to personal preference. The thick cut chips were too thick and starchy in my opinion and lacked the crunch that I love. The box of chips however, was sizeable. If you like those thick cut chips, it mightn't matter at all.
All in all, if you're an avid burger fan in Sydney, Five points is a must.
Fanstastic burger! I had the Manhattan and had just been to the gym so had a side salad to justify the indulgence. Soft bun, perfectly cooked tender patty, melted oozing cheese, lettuce, pickles and just the right balance of mustard and sauce. I could eat another one right now! - so good
If you like the burgers at Burger Project you'll like the burgers here (and vice versa).
Compared to Burger Project the patties are bigger, the cheese gooier and there's more sauce in Five Point's burgers. The chips were hot, crunchy and well-seasoned.
Service is fast and friendly - we came at around 5:30 on a Wednesday and there was plenty of seating available.
Walked straight past it on the street twice - this place is exactly that - a hidden gem. They don't beat their chest or brag, just share good burgs and promote burger love. I got a double Bronx - beef bacon and cheese will suit me just fine 👌
Been to 5 Points plenty of times and the burgers never disappoint. I really recommend the Bronx with a side of chips. There can be a decent sized line during lunch, but don't let that deter you, they pump out the burgers pretty quickly. The only negative is that I work on Berry St - so give into temptation more than I probably should.
Following a long day at uni with some friends, had a 'queens' burger for $11 and topped it with the beer battered chips for $4 (the chips have a subtle peanut flavour interestingly). The price was definitely worth the quality of food I was getting (all friends agreed), and was not disappointed. The line was long, but it was worth the wait. Would advise getting to Five Points early if you want a seat. Definitely would recommend, and I heard the milkshakes are also good too (planning to try that next time)!
A nice place to get authentic American burger. I've been hearing great things about this place from different people so finally I made a trip there.
I ordered The Bronx on my visit there. The staff were really friendly and nice and they made sure to get your name on the order right. When the burger arrived I was a little bit disappointed by the size of it. It was pretty small, even compared to Maccas or Hungry Jack's standard burgers. Not to mention pretty expensive for eatery like this since I spent $13 for small burger without chips. However, it made up for the underwhelming size by compensating on the really fresh and fluffy buns, nicely pickled cucumber, and of course the perfectly cooked, juicy medium rare beef.
So to conclude Five Points really offer quality burger although on a little bit expensive side considering the size and the lack of chips.
As of today (10 August 2016) this place has the best burger I have ever eaten. I had the bronx burger. It was awesome. It was crowded, I had 5 minutes to eat the burger before heading back to work. It was worth it.
Five Point Burgers were recommended to me by a friend when I counting down the days Burgers by Josh was in North Sydney. However, being a bacon fan I was not sold after seeing a certain Instagram post with one burger having pale looking undercooked bacon. This stopped me from coming for months until the opportunity arose again tonight.
The menu is small with only 4 burgers on offer. Nice and easy. I chose the 'Bronx" because it sounded as close to everything I wanted in a burger with double cheese, bacon, pickles, onions, tomato and lettuce. The flavour was great as the proportion of elements in the burger was done right giving the essential flavours you expect without any componant dominating another. The patty was thick enough to maintain a rich beef flavour which the double cheese added to the heartiness. The pickles did a good job adding the acidity, there was a sensible amount of tomato and lettuce and there was just enough balance in tomato sauce and mustard to complete it. The Milk bun was soft and toasted lightly and did a good job keeping the burger together. Most importantly (to me), the bacon was crispy which was reassuring and enough to make an impact with every bite.
The chips were thick and cooked perfectly. The chocolate milkshake was quite average with a mild flavour and not consistent in thickness with the top watery and bottom thicker and also bits of ice near the bottom. Perhaps for $7, they should just offer a smooth thickshake which would have created that specialness people are looking for when they have committed to having something unhealthily indulgent anyway!
Overall, I would put Five Points inbetween Marys/Burger Project and Burgers by Josh. It's not an over glorified Maccas burger but has hints of greateness without being overboard. For $10, its reasonably priced and I would be happy to come back again.
Had a fantastic lunch here. Great service and fantastic burgers as promised!!! !
Just had a 'bronx' and battered chips. I must say burger is good! But it can be better, there is no balance in every bite, i guess they didn't spread the sauces and jam evenly.
Chips nicely fried, however Downside for me is the chips, when i look closely MSG/chicken salt covering my chips. No wonder the chips so tasty. Will be back? Yes but not for the chips
Best American style Burgers in Sydney. Takeaway lunch with work friend. Busy burger joint, with lines of people at lunch time. Be prepared for 20 min wait. Is it worth it? Hell yes!!! Burgers are American style goodness but also not too over the top. Meat is medium rare and juicy. American cheddar cheese makes the burger. A m a z I n g! Better than Mary’s @ Newtown. Will be back more often now!
Shared a single Manhattan and a double.
Great rich fluffy and buttery bun.
I preferred something in between a single patty and double patty for the amount of bun.
Fries stayed crispy in the wet weather. They were okay.
So I bought the Bronx, kept it away for one and half hours and then decided to eat it. Well the one and half hour old burger turned out to be better than any fresh piping hot burgers that I had in Sydney. What a burger!! It was melting in my mouth. What a patty ! I had without the bacon and the reason for 4.5 is Mr gee burger, the latter is slightly ( really really close) better. Going back hundred percent!
Tried the Bronx burger and it was pretty tasty, one of the better burgers in sydney. The bun is unique, fluffy and buttery and better than the other burgers which are to big and hard. Meat to bun ratio is a little off though, a bit too much bun imo. Definately recommend though
Five Points definitely knows how to do a good burger. I ordered the 'Bronx' and the patty had good flavour and was cooked well, still juicy inside, the bacon was crunchy and the cheese melted evenly. The brioche bun was soft and tasty although on one previous visit I found it to be a little dry.
The chips were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, well seasoned with a mix of chicken and sea salt.
Friendly staff and service was pretty quick although it does get busy during lunch hour.
It's probably the best burger you can find in North Sydney and does a good job at fulfilling the burger cravings.
Better than Mary's @ Newtown. Will be back more often now!
Really packed at lunch time on a weekday, took about 20 minutes to get our meal once ordered. We all got the Manhattan burger which was delicious, brioche bun makes the difference!! Really tasty and filling! Good fries too and chocolatey milkshakes. Worth the wait!
One of the better burgers in Sydney. It's just a bit too greasy for my liking. If they would be able to keep the same burger and make it a little less greasy, I would give it 5 stars fo sho.
Have been working in North Sydney for more than a month now and this burger shop is one of the suburb's higlights. Simple American style burgers done well. I normally go for a Manhattan with extra meat. The meat patties are thick and cooked medium rare. The combination of flavours are perfect. Best burgers I've had to date.👌🍔
I've wanted to try this place for a long time now. However as it is closed on weekends, I haven't had the chance to get there. Well today was the day that I finally got to go. I had a meeting in North Sydney so there was only one choice what to have for lunch. The place opens at half eleven and I've heard that it gets busy so I made sure I got there when it opened. There where already a few people there already. Anyway I ordered the Bronx with some chips. I took a seat and waited for my name to be called out. I grabbed my burger and chips and returned to my seat. I grabbed a few chips first and then took a bite out of the burger. It was nice but then I've had lots of nice burgers before. However after a few more bites then I fully appreciated the flavour. It was delicious and full of so much flavour and the ingredients tasted really fresh. I loved the melted cheese too. The chips are pretty decent too, which is a nice bonus. Some burger places make a mean burger but then no effort goes into the chips. That's not the case here and they have free bottles of condiments that you can have with your chips, as well as bottles of water to help yourself with. The only slight criticism that I'd give, is that I would have liked my burger a bit pinker. However that does not take away what a great and tasty burger it was. I'll definitely be back, that's for sure.
Five points is a trendy looking hamburger place playing great music for a lunch time meal. With a choice of 4 different burgers, you'll be sure to find something
Ordered the Staten Island with a beef patty. Hit the burger craving spot. I thought it was the perfect ratio of mushroom to meat. Lots of people there when I arrived. Took around 20 minutes from ordering to get my food. Not bad considering the steady stream of customers.
Very good burgers that come at a price, I had the Bronx Burger and it was great. $13 for a single burger without chips seems a little steep and may prevent me from coming back though.
Burger reviewed: The Bronx
Positives:
+ Brioche bun: The perfect level of soft squishableness without being soggy. It reminded me of suckling my mothers teet as an infant. I haven't been allowed to touch a woman's breast since, but if I had I'm sure that would be a fair comparison too.
+ Cheese and Bacon: The bacon was the perfect amount of crispy, warmth and flavor. While the melty sticky texture of that cheese was heart stopping. Figuratively and literally. These two ingredients could not be improved upon.
Negatives:
- Flavor imbalance: Overall when you taste the burger on a whole, the flavors just don't quite meld. Each bite your tongue is left longing for some some sweet balance to your bite. I'm far from having a sweet tooth but between the mustard, pickles and lack of anything sweet, this burger just leaves you with too bitter an aftertaste.
- Beef: This should be the greecy delicious hero of the dish. However the beef was just good but not amazing, another factor stopping this burger from reaching true iconic status.
Summary: Texturally this burger was fantastic and the flavor was nice but lacked balance. One of the better burgers I've tasted, yet it doesn't hold a finger to the current champion; the "Blame Canada" burger from Bar Luca.
Overall: 5 Point Burgers? More like 3.5 Point Burgers, cause that's all it's getting from this hardened (arteries) reviewer.

I dont indulge in super burgers very often but when I do I want a good one. This place does not disappoint. Each burger is named after one of burrows of New York & all are delicious. My favourite is The Bronx with grilled beef pattie, double cheese, bacon & all the trimmings. It is a monster & worth the calories. The chips are also delicious but service is very haphazard & the wait can be long & slow.
On my visit to Sydney last year I did some research as to the best places to eat burgers. I came across Five Points. North Sydney used to be my old stomping ground some years ago when I used to work there.
The joint itself is quite small with one very large sharing table and a few smaller ones so if you're thinking about dining in you may have to change your plans. The fit out is industrial like with concrete and steel finishes. The queues seem never ending during lunch time peak. Do expect to wait a good 10-15 minutes after ordering.
I decided on a double bronx which I knew would be challenging but didn't think it would defeat me.
It's a whopper of a burger consisting of two juicy medium cooked beef patties, oozing double melted cheese, real pork bacon (oh how i miss thee - although would of preferred it a bit crispier) along with some salad, american mustard and aioli on a soft warm bun. It was super tasty and almost as good as a Five Guys burger. But it was also super filling and hard to get my mouth around without wearing half of it. We even had troubles sharing just one serving of thick hand cut fries. I washed it all down with a cascade lemon flavored soda. I will say the Double Bronx defeated me. I didn't get the last bite in. Next time I'll go single patty only. That way I can enjoy a meal instead of being so greedy.
Five points is a busy burger joint which has delicious burgers and fries. We ordered the Manhattan ($10) and the Bronx ($12.5) which was delicious, but a little too greasy. Their fries ($4) are also quite good and everything is reasonably priced here. Will be coming back!
Five Points Burger came out to much fanfare last year in North Sydney because North Sydney really lacked burger options. Some claim it to be the best in Sydney and it's not hard to see why, so be prepared to wait during peak lunch hours. I've been once before and had a good experience with a Double Bronx, so I thought I'd revisit with a Double Manhattan.
Double beef, double cheese, tomato sauce, pickles, American mustard, aioli, iceberg lettuce
This burger is mighty pretty and the milk bun by Brasserie Bread serves it well as it holds it all together and doesn't detract from the burger. The meat is high quality, medium rare, and plenty juicy though just slightly underseasoned. The toppings besides the cheese are pretty much an afterthought which is a bit of a letdown. The smoky cheese while good, overpowers most of the burger including the beef so you don't really register any of the sauces and lettuce. If this burger were an actress it would be Amy Adams, always good enough to be nominated for the best, but not outstanding enough to be the best.
Go to Five Points for the best burger in North Sydney, now open Thursday and Friday nights.
Beef: 4.2
Bun: 4
Toppings: 3.9
Overall: 4.03/5
As I was meeting a friend in North Sydney, this had to be my first pick of a venue to have lunch. When I got there, as it was opening it was quiet but 10mins later it was busy and the queue was long. Most people were taking away but I managed to get the only 2 seater table inside. They have one large communal table and some more stools along the window.
My friend and I both ordered the Manhattan ($11) and we both agreed that the burgers were juicy and very tasty. The burger style is nothing fancy, with simple ingredients but done well. The beef was cooked with a pink centre which I think is how a beef burger should be cooked. I also ordered their beer batter chips ($4) which was also tasty but my batch was more soggy then crispy which would be my only small negative. Their shakes on offer sounded tempting but that would be for my next visit!
Great Burgers. Meat that tastes like meat! That's just for starters. Staff are friendly and efficient. I tried the Bronx. I'll be back again to try some others.
If you love burgers stay away as YOU'LL NEVER WANT ANY OTHER once you've had one from Five Points!!!! Hands down the most amazing, delicious, succulent, fresh, tangy burgers I've ever had. The cheese oozing OMG. The only place I've seen that exceeds the hype and actually serve food that looks better in real life than the photos. Not mentioning the amazing vibe in that place. PLEASE open more locations!!!!

Very cool burger joint, gets super packed but if you want a great burger then the line is worth the wait. The burgers are fantastic, they come out quite fast too despite how packed this place gets. Staff are very friendly.
Best burger in Sydney.
Better than Mary's at Newtown and Marcelleria at Bondi - which are both excellent.
The balance of flavour and texture is amazing and the portion size just right.
Another famous burger joint that meets the hype expectations that reviews create. Tried the Bronx burger - the bun was soft, the beef patty was juicy, the cheese had a perfect texture to it. The lettuce was crispy and the pickle provided the perfect complement. The chips were also very enjoyable.
The Bronx: big juicy beef patty cooked to medium rare perfection, enrobed in a layer of melted oozy cheese, sandwiched with bacon, tangy pickles, savoury caramelised onions and crispy lettuce all underneath the most amazing soft chewy brioche bun. Pick it up between two hands, be careful of dripping oil and juices and tuck into the glorious mess. I actually rate the burger better than the wagyu burger at rockpool. One drawback is a lack of seats inside the premise, so if you have a big group - head to the park a block away and picnic on the grass.
Without doubt one of the best burger joints in the massively competitive Sydney burger scene. The Bronx is the signature burger and for an extra dose of beefy goodness, upgrade to a Double Bronx. The cheese melts perfectly over the patties, combined with crispy bacon, tangy mustard and lettuce, this is close to the perfect burger!
Nice burgers....in the top 5 at least.........
Best burgers in Sydney! Meat is so nice and juicy and all the ingredients in the burger just go so well together. Great value for the price! Must try this place if you love burgers, it won't disappoint.

Sydney has gone burger-mad and with Five Points around it's no wonder. Perfectly cooked beef patty, oozy cheese and just the right amount of condiments and salad - it's a home run.
I've visited twice and both times lucky to have avoided the queues, being a mid-week lunch during the school holidays, and a late-ish feed on Thursday night. May I add, it's great they're now open Thursday and Friday nights.
I've tried the Manhattan and Bronx burgers, with a side of beer battered chips and salted caramel milkshake. At first visit both burgers were exceptional with the Bronx leading in flavour. The second time around, whilst perfectly cooked, my only qualm was the burger bun, being a little too big, and not as fresh or soft.
Must have // Bronx burger, beer battered chips
Pros // friendly service, tasty juicy patties
Cons // busy, limited seating, not open weekends
Food: 4.5/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Best. Burger. Ever. These guys know what they are doing. I had the Bronx burger with the extra patty and loved every single bite. The bun, the sauces, the juicy perfectly cooked patties, the cheese and the crispy bacon just worked together in perfect harmony. I didn't want it to end!! If you are a burger lover this is the go to place in Sydney.
The best burgers in Sydney by far.
Dont bother going anywhere else if you have a burger on your mind, staff are always very helpful as well.
Cant wait to go back.
Been here a couple of times now and it's been a bit of a hit and miss.
I would definitely rate the Bronx over the Manhattan although both are great choices - the patty is definitely delicious! What can be a let down are the chips and I think this is just based on luck as they make batches and if they are hot from the fryer, they are delicious. If not, then you can expect lukewarm soggy potato.
Overall, a great addition to the lunch options in North Sydney. Be prepared to wait if you are arriving around the lunchtime rush i.e. after 12 noon. They probably need to rethink the ordering system during the lunch rush.
Tried the Bronx with an extra patty, was a little messy with the extra patty but worth it. Recently came back from America and I can say the Bronx was a better tasting burger than any of the burgers I tried over there (in-n-out, shack shack, the Cheesecake Factory, 25 degrees etc.) Not much seating so make sure you rock up early. We went on a weekday before the lunch rush and only just got a seat. Will be back to try the other burgers.
•Working in the area makes this place our sanctuary!
•Bronx - meat overload, make sure you ask for extra sauce!
•Queens - I often get this one, I am not normally a chicken burger person, but I can eat this everyday!
•You MUST have their milkshakes, I think personally the vanilla milkshake is the best flavour
Finally found myself in North Sydney on a weekday to get to Five Points. So happy about that! Burger was absolutely all that was expected and delivered on flavour, aroma and looks. Great bun too that isn't to sweet to take away from the tasty contents. Coupled with a vanilla milkshake everything was devoured in prompt time. Delicious.
Amazingly good burgers, one of the best I've had in my life. Same story with the chips, crunchy outside with a nice and fluffy inside.
Staff were also lively and friendly.
Just can't fault this place.
Highly recommended.
I had a the Manhattan because I'd heard good things and I wasn't disappointed.. The bun was soft without being too sweet, the meat was tender and plentiful- but the best part was the generous addition of delicious melting cheese! Will try the shake next time if I have any room left over (the burger won't leave you hungry).
11/10 !!! I LOVE THIS PLACE. I work in North Sydney and this has quickly become my favourite lunch spot. They've nailed the New York style burgers and décor. Strongly suggest the Bronx burger and you can't not have the beer battered chips to go with it. Great food and service to match !Highly recommended.
They're good. They're very very good. I think I prefer Mary's, because the burgers there are softer. But Five Points has delicious shakes, and thick-cut beer-battered chips too!
One of the best burgers in sydney! That line though..... go before 12. Trust me.. but honestly that burger... wow... sucks that it doesn't open for dinner or weekends..
After hearing so much about Five Points, I have been wanting to go see what all the hype was about, and it didn't disappoint!!
There was a massive line, but it moved very quickly and all the staff were super helpful- not to mention they did everything with a smile!
I ordered a double Bronx burger and bolted on a Salted Caramel milkshake... Wow! I'd have to say without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best burgers I've had and washing it down with a wicked shake topped it off nicely. Solid meal. Certainly wasn't left needing more.
I'll be back for sure and will be recommending it to all my mates.
Definitely check this place out!
Great joint for burgers. Pictured is the Bronx burger that has double patty. Great size and good flavours. A little messy with the cheese but expected from an American style joint, the onion jam was so delicious, everything just melts in your mouth. What more do you want? Photos speak for themselves. Would recommend.
One of the best burgers ive had in Sydney.
The chips were cooked just the way I liked them (crispy and not soggy). And dont forget to order a vanilla milkshake with your meal!
We had a burger craving so came in for the Bronx and the Brooklyn (a real highlight) with sweet potato fries. Definitely one of the best burger joints with friendly service
The burger was so juicy. It let you feel you are eating a very heavy, nice, and tasty burger. Had chips as well. The staff were friendly and they were smiling all the time.
