Omg..!! Where do i begin? This place was recommended to me by my husband who attended a training in North Sydney.
I love love love the coffee...!! No. 1 in North Sydney..!!
Their ginger tart is to die for.. Hubby who doesnt like tarts loves 'em..
Heard the pies are excellent too..
Bomb pies and sausage rolls!
I ordered mini pies and rolls catering for the office and they were hot, fresh and ready on time! Any catering orders will have to be filled out online and picked up instore.
I especially recommend the Eggplant, chickpea, feta & mint s/roll!
My daughter thinks that the pies are the best in the city. (And believe me she has tried a lot of them.)
The beef pie has a good mixture of veg and beef.
The veg turnover is also very good as is their coffee and belgium chocolate milk.
The store was very cute and service was good. I got a croissant to munch on and the croissant was really nice. I also got a hot chocolate which was good too.
I haven't been to the original which everyone raves about. I couldn't go past the chocolate almond croissant, the best of both worlds in theory. I'm reality I think it wasn't that fresh as it was a bit chewy and dry. The flavor was good however
Well it's not as good as the original , and to be honest I wasn't expecting it to be. I also knew that even a bad Bourke street bakery pork and fennel sausage roll is going to be a good one. And it was far from bad, it was actually quite tasty. I paired it with the salad of the day to create a nice tasty balanced meal. But seriously how good is that sausage roll! Go get one 😊
Needed a bit of an afternoon pick up, so stopped by for a couple of treats. The outlet itself is very small, mostly for takeaways. Got a chocolate tart and a lemon curd tart. The chocolate tart is yum as usual, love the rich chocolate filling. The lemon curd tart was way too tang, the sweetness is really missing, the curd is also a bit runny, not as satisfying as other options.
Discovered there is a Bourke St Bakery down the road from my office, was so excited! The range seems smaller compared to the Surry Hills store. Had a hard time choosing my breakfast item, ended up with a beef pie and flat white. The pie was delicious! Will be back to try other stuff!
Went back for the Ginger creme brûlée tart and it was as good as ever!
Not as good as the original but it satisfies the muffin / donut / tart cravings in the mornings or afternoons. Have never gotten coffee here as other establishments around.
Did stop for lunch here once with their sausage rolls which were good. And in a handy location to pick up last minute desserts to take to a casual mid week dinner at a friends place. Love the lemon tart.

When you want somewhere familiar, comforting & you know it will be good, you come here for your favourites. I love their hot chocolate made with real chocolate and my favourite is the pear & rhubarb muffin. I love their croissants & pastries & i wanted to try their fairly new mocha croissant. It was nice with generous amount of chocolate but not enough coffee flavour for me and I still prefer my usual pastries. However, you cant really go wrong whatever you choose, whether sweet or savoury.
